Came by for breakfast the other day and it was a decent experience. Started off with a latte and it was tasty. Temperature of the latte was great and the espresso was smooth. Moved on to the Beef sausage breakfast and it was decent. The beef sausage were rather finely grounded and a touch salty. The over easy eggs were great over a slide of buttered sourdough. The turkey bacon was a refreshing change as they weren't overly salty. The hash brown appeared to be a frozen version. Service by the staff were attentive and cordial. £20.7 for breakfast including a 12.5% service charge.

French toast! House speciality and AMAZING!

Someone else posted the best French toast of their life and I agree! I discovered brioche French toast last year and this was amazing. Had about a 5 minute wait outside in line, it moves fast.

A solid choice for a (halal) full english - they don't serve pork (which means beef sausage and turkey bacon). Busy, but not unwelcoming. Nice bread on the toast. Eggs were great (nice deep colored yolks). Service was good (if a little slow because it was so busy).

I knew I had to try this place based on the pics online and the breakfast did not disappoint! I got the French toast with no toppings and I will be back tomorrow to try the pancakes. The French toast bread was nice and thick and fluffy but I would have liked a little more flavor. It was good with the syrup but I thought the syrup was a little too sweet. The hot chocolate was very tasty and I will be ordering it every tiime I get food here. Their lunch/dinner selections looked good too so I will try to check them out while I'm on the area. I waited about 20 minutes for a table for 1 but it seems they are always very busy so be prepared to wait any time you come.

Nice restaurant. Literally always (seems) to have a line outside but they normally get you in rather quickly. Food is great. Vibes are superb. Idk whose playlist is playing but the couple of times I've visited them it was hitting. Service is excellent. Servers are attentive but not bothersome. Def recommend!

Had to wait in line for about 20 min, but food was worth it. The French toast is their specialty and I can see why! The omelets looked delicious as well.

I found this cafe open at 7 am on a Saturday and it was only a 15 minute walk from my hotel. I didn't have high expectations but Grounded Coffee exceeded expectations. It's a medium sized coffee shop / restaurant with casual, comfortable seating for about 30 or so people. The service was welcoming and very fast. I had the Eggs Benedict which was a slight play off the classic breakfast. They used a thick piece of organic sourdough bread with two nice cuts of pan fried turkey bacon and two perfectly poached eggs on top. I had the hollandaise sauce on the side as I didn't want it downed in it but I ended up using the whole batch -- it was great! I also liked how it came with a small garden salad. I complemented the meal with a tall glass of their house-made carrot orange juice. It was a perfect start to the day.

Grounded is everything you'd want in a brunch option. With that in mind, avoid it for weekend brunch because it is crazy busy! Go for dinner or a late lunch because you'll be able to walk right in and order without dealing with a line. The vegetarian burger was wonderful, and the fries were exceptional. The English breakfast was very good but maybe not great. The sausage was bland, the beans were boring, but everything else delicious! I'd happily return. Staff made it a great experience by being prompt and helpful. Can't speak to the coffee because I didn't have any, but I'm sure it's at least as good as the food!

Excellent food- got the French toast and it's quite possibly the best I've ever had. Got just a plain scrambled egg on the side and that was delicious, too. Will definitely come back next time I'm in London.

I came by myself to have breakfast and to relax. I sat down at the corner of the restaurant and had to flag down service to get a menu and order. I ordered a beef sausage breakfast because I wanted meat, beans, and sour dough. I told my waiter that I was still deciding on coffee and that the waiter never came back to ask me about my coffee or offered me water. I had to flag down another waiter to order my latte and ask for water as well. I understand that they were busy but for me to flag them down so many times is absurd. The place gave cozy cafe vibes and was very nice inside, great for dates or just catching up with a few friends, however I just could not with the service that was provided for me. The food was good and I really enjoyed the sour dough. In the end they lost points for their service.

Second review: came back to this cafe after a year during a stay in London and it was even better than the first time. The food is AMAZING! The coffee and the chai latte is probably the best one I've had anywhere. Their service is quick and everyone is super sweet. Usually a line out the door for seating but we got lucky when we went and did not have to wait. I would go here again when I'm back in London as this has become my go-to cafe for brunch. The place is just as cozy as the first visit.

One of our group has a tomato allergy and we weren't sure how much of a selection he would have. The waitress went back and redlined the menu to show what he could have, what he couldn't, and what they might be able to alter. Super nice and it didn't take more than a few minutes. As for the food, a-maz-ing Indian. I recommend their prawn special - not too spicy but very flavor forward. The naan was a nice side to order as well. This location is fairly big with seating on the main floor, downstairs, and outside in a cover lounge area. We had a reservation, although they probably could have handled us if we didn't. That said, it was a busy weekend and the place looked fairly full by the time we left, so maybe grab a reservation. Enjoy!

My dining companion ordered a margarita that came straight up with a smoky paprika, sort of rim. I ordered the Mojito. They make their own Mojito mix and it was exceptional. Just a little hint of mint, but the excellent drink. Our bartender did not steer us wrong. We sat outside and ordered the okra appetizer, tikka masala, lamb chops and naan. Our wait staff said we were ordering a very small amount of food. I thought it should be enough, as we had a large lunch. She was kind of insistent, but maybe she was just trying to be helpful. The fried okra was amazing. It was like french fries but with okra. There's just a hint of spice very very crunchy and delicious. The rest of our meal came. I really should have asked about the spice level, but I did not. The menu didn't say my dish was spicy, but it was far too spicy for me. Since our wait staff did not come back to check on us there was not much I could do. However, I did flagged down another waiter and asked for some raita. This helped but I don't like the burn so I was pretty much done eating at that point. My sister's lamb chops were very tasty but overcooked for my preference. But we weren't asked how she wanted her lamb chops so there you go. I bet this is a phenomenal restaurant if you like a high level of heat. And maybe on a night when they weren't so busy and the wait staff stretched so thin. I will say I thought the cocktails were exceptional. And our bartender was great. I would really give it a 2.5 but there are no half star so I'm rounding up

The waiters were nice but the food was not the best. I got a scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon & the salmon had a fishy smell to it, was flavorless and there was barely any hot sauce available. My friend also thought her burger was just okay as well with the biggest positive point being the bacon. That being said, the fried dough balls dipped in chocolate were really great and so were the holiday specials for alcoholic drinks. While the inside was spacious and retro and had a cool vibe, I have to knock down points for the actual food itself and wish that I had kept the memory of how much I enjoyed this place pre Covid as that since I wouldn't make my way out to this restaurant again even if I'm in the area.

Bacon was too oily. Potatoes tasted over-seasoned. I'm not a fan of mushrooms in general, so I couldn't tell if they were good or not, I just don't like mushrooms. I was most disappointed in the beans. They were heavily seasoned in some kind of curry, when all I wanted was normal English beans. The food wasn't terrible, I was simply expecting better quality.

So I live around the corner and have always popped in, in an attempt to try their legendary burgers. I've always arrived on the last day etc etc and left it. The open hours that come up online and are not accurate and need updating, they were certainly open later than 8 when I visited on a Wednesday. Alas, today. The lovely chef/gentleman working behind the counter in 34 degree heat talked me through the options. I went for the Veg Thai green curry with rice and a beef steak (in some delicious sauce and Parmesan). The Thai green curry had unbelievable depth of flavour - actually rivalling many Thai restaurants in my opinion. The beef steak. So flipping soft. HOW!? Simply blown away. I don't really know what else to say to be honest. So much love and care has gone into this food - you can really tell - I'm serious. If you find yourself walking by and are tempted - please give it a go. Their lasagne looked amazing too... I haven't even mentioned the price - dirt cheap considering the area and far superior.. Go!
