While the Lotte Hotel in Seattle itself is very nice, this spa is nowhere near what a 5 star hotel spa should be, especially since they actively advertise this hotel amenity and promote these services. I booked two treatments for me and a friend and prepaid in advance. I received multiple email confirmations for these treatments for the dry sauna and massage/facial leading up to the appointments with encouragement to arrive early and enjoy the amenities. My friend and I arrived early to see a sign at the checkout desk saying that the person at the desk had stepped away and to call a number to check in. Upon calling, I spoke to a nice person who said they would find someone to check us in. A person showed up a few minutes later claiming that they were not the front desk but were going to help us. They seemed annoyed that we had arrived early saying that our appointments were at a later time. I shared that we received multiple emails telling us to come 15 min early to the dry sauna first before our appt. The response was "Oh that's a back office thing." They led us into a waiting area to fill out our liability forms, gave us locker room keys, and left. We were unsure of where to go after we completed the forms, so we found the lockers thinking to get ready. Upon opening the lockers, there were no robes or slippers, so we went back out to the waiting room. When the person helping us showed up again, we told them that we didn't see any robes in the lockers and they said "Yeah the person responsible for restocking the robes didn't do it today so you can use a towel." I clarified that they meant for us to just walk out in a towel in this public space (near the hotel gym) and they said "Yes - some guests have done that." It felt like they were being dismissive and just didn't want to be bothered. They left us alone to wait in the waiting area. As we sat there, we noticed there was a little table meant for water and snacks but the snack bowls were empty, there was no water, and only hand sanitizer. At that point, we decided that the first impression the spa was making on us was a bit unacceptable and it felt like they were unprepared for any guests. Customer service was not present and we generally felt unwelcome and left to our own devices. We decided to call the spa phone line again to share feedback and cancel our services. I would not suggest booking treatments here. My friend and I booked this for a spa weekend getaway and were extremely disappointed as we both flew in from out of state for this. One "positive" is that the person we complained to was able to refund us and apologize but it was still a pretty big let down overall. read more

I really wanted to love this experience, but unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing spa visits I've had--especially at this price point. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, with instructions to arrive at 9:45 AM. I arrived early at 9:20 AM, hoping to enjoy the amenities beforehand. However, there was no one at reception and no staff in sight. After waiting and eventually contacting someone by phone, I was told no one was there yet. I left briefly and returned at 9:50 AM--still no staff present. After multiple calls, someone finally arrived at 9:58 AM, just minutes before my scheduled treatment. The check-in experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. The staff member mentioned she had just arrived, which did not instill confidence. I was handed a loose locker key with no bracelet or secure way to keep it during treatment, which felt like a small but telling oversight. From there, the experience felt rushed. There was no real intake process--only enough time to sign my name before being taken into the treatment room. The room itself felt bright and cold, lacking the warmth and calming atmosphere expected from a luxury spa. Unfortunately, the massage itself was the most disappointing part. The therapist appeared untrained and inconsistent. There was no sense of flow or structure--techniques were uneven, pressure varied unpredictably, and large areas of the body (such as feet and lower legs) were skipped entirely. At one point, a disproportionate amount of time was spent on my head without purpose or technique. Overall, it felt more like an unfocused rub-down than a professional massage. I left feeling exactly the same--if not more frustrated. After the treatment, I attempted to use the amenities, only to find that the steam room and sauna were not turned on. Additionally, the locker room lacked basic essentials--no blow dryer, no grooming tools, and nothing to support guests after showering. For a luxury spa, this felt like a major oversight. For a $650 couples massage experience, I expected a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and quality of service. Instead, this was, from start to finish, one of the poorest spa experiences I've had. There was even a moment during the massage where I considered ending the treatment early and leaving. I share this feedback in hopes that improvements can be made--particularly around staffing readiness, professionalism, therapist training, and overall guest experience. My esthetician - Olivia was 5 stars all the way. She gave me a great 90 minute custom facial. She was hospitable and showed me around, and introduced to their collagen bed for a free 20 min session. She gave me great advice on my skin care as well as samples, and just exuded kindness throughout the service. She is a consummate professional. The blond receptionist who helped me close out my bill was also very hospitable and warm. I really liked her spirit. I was so disappointed by this experience! This Spa has very confusing processes, provides no information before, during, or after the scheduled services, and is absolutely overpriced for the services and amenities they provide. I booked a massage appointment as a surprise for my fiancé's birthday, so we went down together to get him checked in. We were greeted by a lady (who ended up being the massage therapist but didn't introduce herself), I hadn't filled out the waivers since he would be the one getting a massage. She acknowledged the situation and said they would have to email us the liability waivers. I didn't want this to delay his appointment so I asked if he could just fill out the ones that I received in my email right now and she said yes and then asked if he wanted a water, which seemed kind of random at that moment. He said yes to the water, then she immediately asked if he was ready to go back. We were both confused since we thought she was going to go get him water and we would fill out the waivers. We clarified, he needed to do the liability waivers first, right? She said no she has the liability waivers in the back for him to fill out. So the whole needing to email the waivers was very confusing and ultimately seemed unnecessarily complicated if she had paper waivers she was planning on having him fill out. As they were heading back he asked if he should bring all of his stuff with him or if there was a place to put his things. She went back to the front desk and grabbed a key and gave it to him. Then per his experience she showed him to the locker room but didn't provide any direction. So he went in and found robes/sandals inside of the lockers. That process also seemed confusing, do people with massage appointments not usually have the opportunity to change and put their belongings in a locker prior to the massage? It felt weird that we had to ask about that. My fiancé said the massage itself was fine but was unfortunately not the full 50 minutes, most likely due to all the confusion and delay prior to the massage despite us getting there well before the appointment time. After the massage she did not provide any instruction or offer access to the other spa amenities (sauna and steam room?). The room my fiancé filled the waivers out in sounds like maybe it is supposed to be the "relaxation room" but was not equipped with any of the basic amenities even very modest spas have, like water or tea. It just all felt very confusing and ultimately somewhat stressful versus relaxing. For being a spa in a 5-star hotel and at the price point the services are, I would assume a much more informative, seamless, and relaxing process. I also was not informed prior to booking that tip would be added on automatically at a set percentage, and that I would be paying remotely, via email, versus in person at the spa (this seemed like a very odd and another unnecessarily confusing process). In hindsight, considering the lack of information we received upon arrival, if we are expected to already know the process and what to expect, I should have been given all of this information when booking which I was not. Unfortunately it was just a disappointing experience all around and I don't think I would be able to recommend Le Spa. read more

I went with 2 other girlfriends for a spa day on a Sunday afternoon; we all agreed we wouldn't return. There was no one at the reception desk, just a sign to call a number. We called the number and one of the masseuses came to give us locker keys and escort us. There was a small steam room and sauna for us to use before our services which was nice. We had all booked 80 min massage. My friends liked theirs, I did not enjoy mine. It was a combination of not enough pressure and painful pressure. There was a lot of horizontal strokes across my back, I had never had that kind of motion in a massage before. We wanted to shower before heading out, no hairdryers. I went to ask the receptionist if there were any available but could not find any employees at all to ask. The slippers are like fleece house slippers so we couldn't wear them into the shower, had to shower with bare feet, in a very small shower. The 3 of us basically had the facilities to ourselves so it was nice to have that privacy but instead of feeling exclusive, it felt deserted and abandoned. There are lots of hallways lined with sheer white drapes. I found it kind of eerie rather than serene. When we were ready to leave, there was still no receptionist at the front desk to check us out. We weren't sure how to pay for our services. We called the number again; one of the masseuses came out and didn't know how we were supposed to pay either. She just told us to be sure to leave our locker keys. She suggested we go to the sister spa at a different hotel to pay. My friend said she used her credit card to book the appointments, so we figured they would just charge that card. Which they did, including 20% tip for each service. As a member who goes here regularly, I want to highly recommend 'Amber Chen' massage therapist. When you book a treatment with her, try deep tissue massage for 80min, and it will wash away all the bad decisions you made. I didn't want her schedule to get busier than it is now, but oh well, sharing is caring. This spa is definitely the best in town. We came here for two treatments that I had booked over the phone in advance. Neither the booker, nor the confirmation emails nor the person who checked us out mentioned the 4% fee for using a credit card. I have been to upscale spas all over the world and have never found hidden fees before. This is not an upscale spa. It feels more like a downmarket spa with upscale spa prices. Upon arrival at the hotel no one from the spa is there to greet you and use the necessary key to the elevator to get to the third floor. No employee was at the front desk either so I had to search for an employee to let us up. At the spa the woman did not hand us all the paperwork as they usually do. This was given by the women doing the treatment which makes you feel like you are at the doctor's office and cuts into your treatment time. The lockers did not have a bag for your clothes. The robes all look like they came from a homeless shelter. Mine was a thick old gray polyester thing I felt horrible wearing. I am used to normal clean white cotton robes at a spa. The slippers were all different too. Mine were cheap flip flops that had hard things on the surface. The toilets were both clogged and could not flush. The employees were not surprised by this fact. The towels are not placed near the showers. There are no disposable items usually found in the bathroom part of a spa. The treatments were fine but at the end of the treatment the lady left the room after she had placed my slippers in a far corner. I had to wait until she finally returned to ask her to bring them near the table so that I did not have to walk barefoot. The whole experience was not "serene" as advertised on their website. At checkout I was told how much to tip the staff. This is in very bad taste as I always tip the staff. I was not given a receipt but one was mailed to me. I would avoid this place. read more

IF YOU'RE CURIOUS IF IT'S WORTH THE VISIT... I scheduled an appointment for a facial and arrived early to the appointment, it was my first experience with Le SPA. Honestly, I was rather disappointed by the lack of organization and communication throughout the entire process-- from booking to completion of service. Also keep in mind that the service I was receiving was $365. *I was asked to fill out a credit card authorization form and received a confirmation email upon completion, but was told in-person that I didn't fill one out. After my facial, since they could not locate my form, my credit card number was written down on paper, which did not make me comfortable at all-- not at all aligned with a luxurious service like they're aiming for. Multiple layers of concern with proper handling of confidential information. *I was also told I'd be emailed paperwork prior to the appointment but never received anything. I had to fill it out in person, which of course ate into the time you're allowed to enter to utilize some amenities like the sauna or steam room. *I had to inquire about all the logistics prior to arriving (e.g. valet reimbursement, readying skin for the service, etc.) with no preemptive email to inform. *When I got there, there was no instruction of how to proceed- I was just sat with a clipboard in the waiting room and wasn't given any information about the next steps of where to go and how to prepare for the facial. I filled out the paperwork and called the spa to see what was next, but was not attended to until the esthetician came to retrieve me. I then had to get dressed which of course ate up my appointment time. *Finally (and the real kicker), at the end of my service, I was told how much I "owed" in tip. This was pretty unprofessional and inappropriate as tip is subjective to the customer unless specified in advance. The receptionist literally told me that I owed a certain percentage of the service and asked me how I'd like to pay. For the price of the service, you truly are not receiving anything special nor is the care up to par. I've received several facials prior to this experience, and I definitively would recommend going with other parties that are NOT Le SPA. There is no justification for the amount you spend and the service itself was truly about average. The facial itself was nice but did not run the designated time, and I asked numerous questions about the care and aftercare that were left unanswered. read more

I got a 50 min prenatal massage and unfortunately it was just not great. I felt like she was just rubbing lotion all over honestly. I thought she was going light in areas cause I was pregnant (maybe for the back) but there was like absolutely no effort for even legs, arms, and shoulders. I get a better arm and shoulder massage from my facial esthetician (not from this spa). I specifically asked for lower back massage in the questionaire, and it wasn't even addressed. Also, the massage was only like 40m. She started at 6:10 (I checked the clock) and finished at 6:50 on the dot. I also felt the time was mainly spent on taking a lot time to put lotion on my neck and shoulders. Masseuse was very kind and constantly checked on me, but would not go back just considering the price of the massage and quality ($200+tip for lotion being rubbed on you for 40min). I called the spa to make an appointment but I was told they don't accept the voucher since the voucher is for their sister spa at Fairmont olympic hotel and not theirs. I told her voucher says "Le Spa De L'Hotel Hotel" and has their address so it's the right voucher but she just kept saying it's not their voucher. Her manager verified I can't use the voucher for the same reason. I just requested refund to Travelzoo. I hope they know what they are selling!!!! The spa itself is beautiful with nice amenities, including a steam and dry sauna in the locker room. However my treatment experience was not pleasant or efficient. I got seen 30 mins after my appt time (and they ask you to come 15 mins before too, so it was a LOT of waiting). Afterwards, the hot water in the shower wasn't working, so I ended up leaving after waiting a while for maintenance. The receptionist was understanding, and I received a $50 discount for the shower inconvenience. Even with that, it was overall a disappointing $300 experience. read more

However, the staff was super welcoming and nonjudgmental. I scheduled a 75-minute customized Biologique Recherche facial. Patty is absolutely amazing at what she does! Her passion for skincare is evident, and she has a great personality that shines through. I like to think I know a lot about skincare, but Patty taught me new things about my skin. That's saying something! Her approach was very gentle, and she consistently checked in with me during my facial to see if I was comfortable. At the end of the facial, she clarified any questions I had and took the effort to write out my skincare "prescription" on a cute card.
