Went here on a recommendation from a friend when we were visiting Montreal. As soon as I walked in I knew it was familiar, it's almost identical to the location in Toronto! Super chill, club-like/dive-bar vibes, busy but not loud. They have an awesome menu, lots of options, and the prices are fantastic! You literally can't get a meal that good at the price point anywhere else. The kicker is, they only accept cash! They do have an ATM on site if you need it though. The service was a little slow, but you can deal with it. We tried the dill pickle wings and they were so good! If you like pickles and chicken wings.. get these! I had a burger and fries - I don't remember which one but it was very good! I had a Sour Key cocktail, and then I got a second because it was so tasty! It's Smirnoff Raspberry, Peach Schnapps, lemon and Sprite with a sour key candy on the glass!

The food was delicious and the best price in the area. Great environment to be in and grab a few drinks. Mickael and Roman were very nice and made us feel welcome, even when we weren't able to speak french. This made our first time in Montreal an experience to never forget.

Reasonable price with you get what you pay. It was late and we just wanted to find something to eat before going to the bar. The place super casual, nice for college student to go and hung out. Food was ok and drink is watery down. Service was confusing with local student who didn't know a lot about basic drink. Even we communicated the same language but she couldn't get what my friend wanted. Great thing about this place is the price.

Magical place. Visiting Montreal for the weekend and of all the places in the city we went here 2 days in a row. They got all day shot specials and good cheap food. Music choice was great and the servers

Great staff! Great drinks! Had a great time here. Really laid back during the day. Was really popular at night.

I think the concept of a warehouse resonates with this theme of this restobar: subpar service, cheap food and student joint. The atmosphere is lively. Heading there around 5 pm, the waitress placed us at a table with two bar stools. Considering the place was still empty, I asked her if I could move to the booth in the back corner, she said it is reserved for parties of 3. Within 10 minutes of that conversation, I see 2 girls sit down in the same booth. Is there confusion? The drink specials weren't incredible, but I settled for a margarita cocktail that was ok. Alongside, oh dear the chicken wings?! I don't know if the chicken died on my plate but it was really not presentable- no ranch dressing, carrot or celery sticks (oh right you need to pay a dollar extra). The Mac n cheese was pretty decent for a 5-10$ meal. Regardless of the experience, a 16$ bill can never disappoint! It is a hangout spot on "crescent" street.

Great restaurant! Lots of good music and fun music videos on the screens. For 4.95$ each plate, I was very satisfied. I ordered the bacon potato skins and the mac and cheese. The potato skins were a really nice change from ordinary fries. However, I am very particular about mac and cheese. I have high standards. Sadly, this one did not meet them. The pasta wasn't the traditional mac and cheese pasta and the cheese had a sort of slightly spicy taste which ruined the actual cheese taste I wanted. It wasn't the worst I've had (See joe's panini mac and cheese) but it was disappointing. My boyfriend got the smoky burger and the beets and goat cheese salad. He really struck gold with the burger. It was so good!!! I'm going to have to go back just to order one for myself. I also really want to try the tacos. For now it's a four stars because of the mac and cheese. But it was really close to being a five. Visited on the 8th of December 2016

Great little spot. Good bar food. Nice selection of specialty drinks. In town for the Gran Prix and its right on Crescent St where the GP Events for the public take place . Bartender was great, could have been a little more attentive. But he was really cool and we had a great time. Food was excellent. In particular "The Works" burger. Drinks are relatively cheap too considering they are located downtown. Will definitely go back again this weekend.

Great prices, okay food, less than okay service. Also SUPER LOUD. Most people were sitting to eat but the music was unbearable.

We didn't feel rushed and got to just enjoy one another's company. It is tight seating admittedly, and not super comfy, but I'll take it for the yummy food. Will be back for breakfast.

Pooh and I loved our drinks but for the price there should have been more alcohol and less ice. Marie wasn't crazy about her drink. She thought it was more like a cherry juice drink We shared the Calamari platter which was piping hot and had a delicious dipping sauce which Marie kept for her fries. For our main meal I ordered their Fried Chicken Salad. Pooh ordered Apollo à la Brasa, and Marie had Lobster Roll with fries and salad. I liked my salad but since it was "fried chicken " I thought the chicken would be hot. It was just warm so the skin wasn't crispy; more loose like sagging skin. Pooh loved his dish but it was a tad salty and greasy. Marie loved everything. Each of us had a Brazilian coffee which was delicious. After we shared an order of their Beignets. These beignets were huge and came with two dipping sauces: caramel and whipped Nutella. They were heavenly Service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was lively - great music too We would definitely return. I will try a different dish.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Even those with more casual interest in beer probably know that DDC makes really great drinks. And yep, they were excellent. I wasn't there to do a long session, so I got a couple tasters, one including Peche Mortal and the other a NEIPA. Two very different styles and both extremely well done. Beyond that, the space had a very old-fashioned look. Really nice wooden fixtures and a very warm, welcoming vibe. The server was also attentive and friendly, but also knew when to let people sit back and enjoy their drinks. You probably don't need me to tell you, but yes, you should go.

He expressed interest in hitting up some breweries, so I did some research and compiled a few we could potentially visit. Brasserie Dieu du Ciel was one of them, and it just so happened we were in its vicinity after our Mile End food tour concluded. That being said, we made our way over. While I am not a beer person myself, I'll have a round or two if I'm with a group, and can appreciate a good brewery. My first impression of Dieu du Ciel was just that - the vibes were on walking in. The space is pretty large - kinda separated into semi- compartmentalized spaces with tables throughout. There's not much decor, but medium-toned woods throughout which gave it a sort of upscale feel. They offer a food menu, but we were just here for drinks. They have a really wide selection of beer - again, I'm no connoisseur, but I could tell that the selection was way more than other breweries I've been to. I ended up getting a cider for the first round and a stout for my second round - both very good. Service was great, and overall we enjoyed our time at Dieu du Ciel. Their selection and comfortable setting made it a standout brewery for me out of the ones I've visited in Montreal - I wouldn't hesitate to return.
