    Paris-Brest dessert

Great meal at Marcus! Service and ambience were very nice, and food, particularly the spicy pasta with lobster, was excellent! Paris-Brest perhaps one of the best dessert ever! Recommended downtown Montreal spot!

We had two really nice meals at Marcus while traveling to Montreal. The service was prompt but not rushed. The food was excellent and offered a range of choices to please all pallets. We enjoyed the filet, chicken, Piccadilly and salmon. Saturday night was particularly busy and had a great vibe. Lots of choices in Montreal to dine but I would recommended a stop at Marcus.

Went to Marcus for breakfast on the last day of the trip. It's located in the 4 Seasons hotel. We had a reservation but it was not very busy on a Monday morning, and we were seated immediately. Our server was very sweet and took a drink order right away. For food, we went with the lobster omelet and the salmon bagel. The lobster omelet was filled with lobster meat, which was refreshing. The Gruyere sauce on top added a nice juxtaposition, pairing a little savory with the sweetness inherent to lobster, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The salmon bagel was on a different level of bagel. So much salmon meat inside, bagel perfectly cooked, cream cheese and the capers adding a nice pop of saltiness. It was very hard to get my mouth around for a complete bite, unfortunately, but we managed. Overall, for a breakfast, and the quality of the food, hard to beat for a quick bite before getting on your way to explore the city

    Chocolate cake was divine.

We reserved a table for a dinner with friends and we were amazed at the service, food and ambience at the Marcus restaurant. We started with a tomato watermelon salad and loved it. My husband and I split the sole dish and it was really tasty. I ended my meal with a chocolate cake and it was truly divine. Four Seasons never disappoints with the choice of restaurants that they offer to their guests. Simply amazing!

Marcus is located in the four seasons hotel. The name comes from chef Marcus Samuelsson. Reservation are recommended for this location. We started with drinks at the bar we got here a little before the reservation time. I was really impressed that they would explain how they made that powder on the drink and how is was named the forbidden fruit. Illegal in the states, apparently every perfume that has a vanilla sent has that fruit in it. I always find it interesting to learn random facts. It was time to find a table we started with the tuna and the salmon as appetizer easy quick bites. We got the eggplant as a main I was not a fan. My friend loved it. We finish with 3 little bites one was a brownie with walnuts, a berry jelly and the last one he called it a raspberry rice crispy. I will be coming back because I need to try the main salmon.

One of the best restaurants we tried during our visit to Montreal. Elegant and classy when you enter this modern setting and great for special occasions. We ordered the Piccadilly, Black Cod, Oysters and Octopus. This ranks in our top three of best seafood we have had. Service was first class and our waiter was amazing and even made a special dessert for my wife's birthday.

Very average food. I feel like all of his restaurants have gone down hill. Beautiful place and good service but food was mediocre. The lobster omelette was mostly imitation crab. Truffle fries were cold. Just very average and disappointing overall.

Menu: Appreciate they are progressive in their menu having a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, and full selection of vegetarian entrees. Bravo. I appreciate that the side dishes are as you order it as opposed to combo'd with the entree. Drinks: why the ridiculous iPad drink menu? It isn't even that long or extensive. Cocktails are pretty things. Taste good too. Even the non alcoholic ones, you won't even miss it and you can skip the calories. Service: attentive without being intrusive, never interrupted a conversation and food sequence was on point. It could be because we took an earlier seating time. He was always around and attentive even at our awkward table nestled between the palm trees. I think it was Josh, or Jacob... j... very professional, the kind of thing you see at a fine dining michelin star resto. Food: we had salmon tartare delicious and fresh; grilled octopus wonderfully massaged, charred and the marinade evident (purple endive was a great addition); black cod lacked the silky fattiness I expect but a good dish, lamb chops which were cooked to perfection. Rappini was dead on arrival, I like my veggies on the lively crisper side. We were presented with a dessert tray which I have to say I haven't seen since the late 80s and I was delighted. It's a great marketing tool and it worked! We had the raspberry tart drizzled with olive oil, and the Japanese cheesecake which was like eating a creamy cloud (they nailed the texture) served with sliced plums and a compote. Decor: this is a knock out, French glam, retro modern, loved the airiness afforded by the terrace and the tropical plantings. The counter seating looked fun for foodies. Perhaps a consequence of post Covid times, the crowd isn't overly dressy.. either that or I'm just too old to care. I walked in with a floral print shirt, my vuori pants and sneakers. I regret not checking the washrooms, next time! Price: I can agree with the comments on the prices and what ends up on your plate (or cup) But then again you are dining at the Four Seasons, so... $29 glass of Sancerre! But we must drink something. I will not be defeated.

I stayed at the Four Seasons and came down for dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday. I didn't have a reservation but they gave me a table over at the lounge area. The restaurant wasn't super busy but I was also under dressed, so maybe that's why they sat me in the lounge space. They were polite about it though and willing to serve me from the full menu. I ordered the burrata which was pretty good. It had a light yuzu flavour which I appreciated. I ordered the piccadilly lobster pasta. The pasta dish was so bland and the lobster was over cooked. The pasta was cooked al dente, but wish it was bit softer. It wasn't any near what I expected for $44. I ended my meal off with a strawberry tart. My tart took almost 30 min to come, and the manager was kind enough to remove it from my bill. The tart had a really strong yuzu flavour and was sour from the strawberries. The flavours didn't go well together and I didn't enjoy it. The decor and ambience of this place is so nice and pretty! The service was excellent as well. My bill came to around $100, not including the dessert that the manager compd. I have to say that the food was definitely super disappointing.

Lovely Xmas eve dinner here. Absolutely loved the bread and salted French butter. The salads were awesome- the greens was more than enough to share, and the tomato/ burrata/ watermelon was smaller, and amazing. We split the cauliflower and the Branzino, which was a good call after all the salad. The cauliflower was my fave of the meal- apparently fried first and then baked. Tender all the way through and super flavorful. Gosh was fine, but not extraordinary. But the dessert- special for Xmas I believe- called eggnog chocolate something- was very shareable, with dark creamy chocolate, and something a little crunchy also, which was a great combo. Very nice meal here.

This is one of my top 10 resto's in the city .. let me explain: Ok so usually for a hotel resto it's mediocre subpar at best but this is different it's at the 4 seasons!!! Marcus is amazing wow it's such a beautiful gem Famous for their bathroom selfies ahaha It's owned and named by a renowned chef (marcus samuelsson) hes famous for his tv reality shows top chef masters and the taste to name a few Food: Extraordinary. .. nicely plated Everything we had was absolutely delicious, fresh and flavourful Branzino was amazing Black cod 5******** Burrata... wow infatuated the cheese was deelish My portobello mushroom was to die for wowow the service here : super friendly amazinggg staff and great recommendations Service here was Top notch and A+++ on all boards Overall: This is such a luxurious spot in the city I definitely recommend you giving this place a try if you can you'll definitely won't be disappointed

Very good coffee in a serene environment.

We had breakfast at Marcus, located on one of the upper floors of the Four Seasons. Excellent service, which is on-brand for a FS dining experience. Never an empty coffee cup or water glass, everything is prepared to diner preference (including weird modifications for kid palates), and the food was delicious. I tried the Marcus scramble (the eggs were silky and lush), another of us had the lobster omelette (also delicious), and our youngest diner had the pancakes (every accompaniment on the side - of course). Great experience overall, and the windows/terrace-adjacent setting give you the feeling of being outdoors. It's a serene, soothing environment, especially first thing in the morning.

I didn't have a reservation for dinner but they were nice enough to accommodate us in the lounge. The ambiance is sleek and chic. Eating dinner in the lounge was somewhat harder due to the table space. We had the Princess scallops which were very petit.I should have ordered 12 instead of 6. For dinner, we had the wagyu burger, roasted cauliflower, truffle pasta and lamb chops. Wagyu burger and lamb chops were cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had the crème caramel which was smooth and delish. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Music was ridiculously loud. It's a restaurant not a bar. Food was mediocre for the price.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.
