The gods and goddesses of nature and coincidence placed this as the first spot with a lavatory upon our path. Windy as hell with the storm, but soooo awesome. Boat launches, proper lavatories, plenty of space, dramatic views, picnic areas, etc. Great spot indeed.

The park has a lot to offer: a beautiful lake and surrounding trees, picnic shelter, play area, docks, trails, birds & other animal viewing, large flat parking areas (one near each end of the lake), and flush toilets. We took the short, loop trail that starts near the parking lot...part a rolling path within the trees and part within mowed grasses along the lake. There's also an interpretive trail we didn't get to check out that starts near the beautiful, historic log home. Beautiful and peaceful spot to spend an afternoon for sure.

There's plenty of grassy fields, trees, and more, offering nearly every site plenty of privacy. If however you're in a RV rig, and looking for a full hookup, they decided to place all 7 hookup spots right next to each other on a gravel island. You and your neighbors will be crammed like sardines, with no room for table, fire pits, nothing. Also, the facilities are in dire need of some TLC. Really too bad, since the campground itself has truly tremendous potential, but clearly lacks any incentive to up its game. If the county ever sells this park to a driven and creative entrepreneur, then this could become one of the best parks out there.

For a few months this year the whole area was closed for erosion repair. But now it's partially opened. There is a narrow access to part of a beach, sandwiched between tribal land with a defunct marina on one side and a privately owned beach on the other. The beach is accessible only to those who can scramble down a several-foot drop from the abruptly broken-off road. To the commenter looking for lots of driftwood, drive north to the beach associated with Mora Campground in Olympic National Park. Go to the town of Forks, then drive west 30 minutes to the park, then a few more minutes to Rialto Beach. It has a parking lot, and the beach is right there. Last time I was there huge driftwood had taken over the beach, requiring visitors to clamber over logs. Lots of fun if you're able.

It's a short trail, completely on boardwalk. Off to either side you'll find nature-related sculptures amongst the plants. Halfway up the boardwalk, there's a spur that leads to the more physically demanding Cutthroat Trail. A nice diversion if you're driving past on 101 but not a destination. Going over to Long Island would be a destination.

The out & back trail itself is fairly uneventful, but take those short off-shoots when the posted sign with the tree symbol makes an appearance. There are definitely some larger lovelies up there that make a brief trek worth every step. If you're a tree lover like myself I highly recommend Teal Slough, another cool spot within the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge.

We only did the Ecola Point viewpoint which has some short trails from the parking lot. You can see the lighthouse a little bit from some of the views, but probably not as well as grub the lighthouse view trail. There's a separate areas for very young kids and another area for bigger kids. Also has convenient bathrooms. Our 2 year old had so much fun. We had no trouble finding parking right on the street. Will definitely come back here again.
