Overall the beach is kind of lackluster and the water is pretty dirty.

We had to just leave. The stalls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 24 hours at least, and this was on a holiday weekend which really merited more attention to the bathroom sanitation. The entrance also has parking, porta-potty, and one garbage can outside of the porta-potty. The upkeep on the porta-potty needs to be updated. It's disgusting, and the beach is such a nice location. I'm giving a five-star since this beach brings all the amazing PNW to one location. Beautiful bluffs, green landscape, and the amazing beach....Just wait until the next town to go to the bathroom. We will be returning again soon.

It filled my hopes that there's still parts of the earth that are untouched and yet to be hit by consumerism or tourism. We could drive straight on to the sand which was surreal, and even got to go clamming. In the evening (low tide) people come from all over the state to try their hand at clamming. Tip: you need to get a clam license beforehand and that will limit the amount of clams you can snag from the beach (you also bring your own equipment). The sunset is gorgeous, as it reflects on the puddles of water on the beach. Highly recommend.

The first day, we checked out the Fisherman's Boardwalk and crabbed/fished for over 7 hours. Caught a few Sea bass and limited out on Dungeness Crab! It was a pretty enjoyable day. Our second and third days were not as good because the weather was a bit colder, cloudy and very windy. Took a while to get our limit of crabs, but had no such luck getting the fish we wanted. Overall, we all had a whole lot of fun on our 3-day trip to Westport, WA! Got an ample amount of Dungeness Crab to take home and some Sea bass as well. Definitely needed a Vacay away from home and also from work. Even a short trip like this was beneficial to relax and rejuvenate ourselves.

We went to the Marina one year for a pirate festival in which people of course dressed as pirates but a good runner up was mermaid costumes. It was a good time! You can also go on the jetty and get a great view of the Olympic Mountains and see the town of Ocean Shores across the water. Good views from the jetty and it gets even better going to where the fishermen are on the boardwalk. There is also a tower to go up on the west side of the marina for good views as well. When Steve and I were walking along the docks and bridges of the marina we spotted a some aquatic wildlife like harbor seals and jellyfish.

There use to be a cafe, but it's been closed. They don't have modern tech to sign-in your membership card so you have to show a physical card to someone at the front desk to use anything. You may bring guests with you at $1 a guest. They have a printed schedule - nothing digital/online - that shows the activities planned on a monthly basis. It is a requirement or they will lien your property to pay an annual fee, something that was not explained to me by the agents nor escrow. Something to be aware of and consider before buying property here. It doesn't matter if you use it or not.

We talked for ages, he shared with us his passion for wildlife, gave us background information on nearly everything in the aquarium, and set us up for a fun little exploratory venture. After we got our little cup of shrimp, we were off - we fed the fish and the ducks, read every little piece of information available, and checked in with Mark anytime we wanted to learn a little more. You could be in and out of here in a matter of minutes, but we took our time and enjoyed this quaint, local, and loved aquarium for what it is.
