First of all I wanted to apologize for how long it's taken me to get a review out. We were moved in November of 2020 from Ohio to Kentucky. I misplaced the paper with the gentlemens names on them and I didn't want to write the review without specifically talking about them. The young men that were super professional, kind, funny, efficient, and strong were Alejandro, Devin, and Chris. This move was on 11/11/2020 if that helps pinpoint exactly who it was. So first off, we were moving a tiny one bedroom apartment that was cramped with stuff from our previous move. We had moved from a rented home to a one bedroom apartment due to a loss in the family. So all the stuff we had from that house was cramped in our apartment before we could by another house. We had so many BIG items. We had a memory foam mattress on a frame that was one of those ones that raises up and down so it was heavier than regular frames. We had a couple of HUGE cabinets and dressers, a couch, a HUUUUGE wooden desk (this thing almost takes up half of my new office, that's how big this thing is) and some other stuff. They came in, pretty much took stock of everything that they'd have to move, and they got right to it. They were MUCH better than another company I've moved with before. I didn't have to chase them to get them to keep moving. I didn't have one of the guys getting injured every five seconds (which totally happened with the other moving company). They wrapped my items and made sure any glass was properly put away so nothing would break. And they got my little family moving out of that apartment QUICK. Once we got to the house, they started unloading just as quickly and safely as they did when loading the truck. My new home has this closet directly in front of the front door (cuz that's totally a good idea right??) and so they couldn't just bring the long stuff in straight. It had to be brought in and then shifted to the left to get around that closet. They did this so well and without breaking anything or bumping my walls. I honestly don't know how they did this because recently I bought a new couch and I tried to get my old couch out the front door like they did and the couch got stuck so I had to ram it back into the house and go out the back door. I even scraped up my walls trying to get it out the house. How they did it without so much as a scratch is beyond me. lol The main thing I was super worried about was the desk. This thing is HUGE! I'm talking 4 feet by 3 feet. I was worried they wouldn't be able to get it into the door let alone upstairs. Not only did they get this thing through the FRONT door with that closet in the way, they got it upstairs and into my office. Upstairs ALSO has weird walls and my office isn't straight access, you have to get around another closet wall to get into my office. They maneuvered that desk into the space, flipped it around, and set it just right into my office like it was NOTHING. Very impressive. Nothing was broken, nothing was lost, no paint missing from my walls, no scratches on my walls and floors, very kind and professional. They even saw that our new house came with a dog kennel and a dog house in the back and asked us if we were gonna get a dog. We told them yes and as of March we do have a new pup named Ganon! Definitely would use this service again. ESPECIALLY if I could request Alejandro, Devin, and Chris again. They were absolutely awesome. Definitely deserves some praise (maybe even a raise??? lol) for their hard work. Again I'm sorry it took me so long to post it. Hope it's better late than never! read more

They were horrible, did not wrap anything - even when asked to do so - huge dents and scrapes in my stainless appliances- didn't know how to pack the truck so took 3 trips and all day to move, dumped everything in my garage, broke glassware in boxes clearly marked fragile/glassware - over $5k in damages - almost a month now and they have done nothing to replace/repair anything- state they have turned it over to their insurance company to handle - guess I will be getting an attorney. Do not use this company if you value your belongings. Worst moving experience ever! read more

Leaders - The Movers from Hell We recently contracted with Leaders to pack-load-move-unload our household from Cincinnati, OH to Columbus, OH. Calling the experience an unmitigated disaster is an understatement. The problem, as we understand it, began during the walk-through by the Leaders representative. Evidently, he grossly underestimated the size of our household. We even contacted Leaders twice before our move date to ask about two pieces of furniture that seemingly were not on the inventory. Both times we were assured that Leaders, being the professionals that they are, not only perform accurate estimates, but also plan for such possibilities. When packing day arrived, the crew was improperly supplied: not enough packing tape, and 20" garment boxes with 24" bars. Yep; each garment box had a 4 sharp edged bar sticking out. And, yes, every piece of furniture packed next to a garment box came off the truck with new, deep scratches. The packing was haphazard; lampshades placed in the bottom of boxes then filled with books - all destroyed, gardening tools packed with couch pillows, etc. Even worse then the crew's treatment of our possessions was their treatment of my wife. Their rude, arrogant, borderline abusive treatment was inexcusable. Leaders management, after repeated calls, finally responded to be present and oversee/prevent further abusive interactions. Towards the end of day two, a Leaders manager approached me for an additional $600. Evidently, Leaders' guaranteed, not to exceed cost contract is not a guarantee. Essentially, after 90% of our possessions were packed and loaded, we were faced with an extortion demand: pay an additional $600 or we will not pack/load the last 10% of our possessions! We paid; this was extortion; we had no choice. We insisted on a new crew to unload the truck, which did proceed more smoothly. Beyond the $1000+ in breakage and damage, the abusive treatment of my wife (I was absent on day 1), and the last minute $600 extortion, Leaders also failed to reassemble items they disassembled; which was part of the contract. The unloading crew was unable to locate the hardware; porch furniture, picture frames, and a china cabinet. We had a choice of movers. We choose poorly. Leaders was not the cheapest, nor are they a monopoly - learn from our experience and avoid this most unprofessional of moving companies. read more

So we moved from cincy to Indy and the packing service was fine, and the move was overall pretty smooth besides our broken mirror, which they subtracted to our total. However the company had already charged us full price on the move and I have been calling and emailing them multiple times in regards to the refund and they keep telling me they will call me back and talk to their financial dept... it's been almost 2 months and I still haven't gotten my refund. Good thing it was only 26 dollars, I can't even imagine trying to get my money back if they owed us more... honestly, it's the principle of the situation that I'm truly disappointed with this company because I told this was a family owned company which I towards and thought it would be a trustworthy company. We were planning to use them again for our next move, until now. Also, we had extra boxes that we didn't use that they took back and also already charged us for. So count your boxes and hold on to your unused ones so they can refund you that too!! read more

These guys made a mess of our move in a way I couldn't even imagine possible. Scratched furniture, broken items, boxes delivered to the wrong places? We just discovered today that when they put our four-poster bed back together, they totally messed up one of the posts by substituting screws which I guess they lost, with something that made the whole post lean in a way I'm not sure is fixable. I hope that they either fix what's wrong with their business or go out of business real soon and don't mess up another move. read more

I did a review last fall when we had Leaders move our belongings out of our house we sold, and there was many problems then, so I expected they would do better on the return, but that did not happen. We stored everything with them for 11 months while deciding if we where buying a new home in the south or returning to Indiana, We returned to Indiana so this was a local move. Everything was covered in dust and the wood had a milky film on it so I do not think things were stored well. We had many things destroyed upon return. The screen was smashed on our 65" TV, that was less than a year old when they took it. Legs broke off a side table, ornamental piece on top of antique table broke off, Frame on a large mirror 35 X 66 broke off top, A 40 x 60 mirror had the bottom corner broke off and scratched on the back at the top, Stand cracked on a TV, remote and cords missing on another TV, Hinge broke on mirror wings that sits on top of dresser which was reattached with small screws due to original were lost, and they made new holes in the back of dresser to attach it and since the screws were too small the mirror leaned forward. Could not find the screws to reassemble our king size bed. Brackets to hold shelves in cabinet was lost. Leg broke off large china cabinet, 2 large lamp shades crammed into box on top of other things was destroyed, 2 holes punched in couch, 2 broken engraved wine glasses, scratched hardwood putting bed back together, a tote of Christmas ornaments fell while unloading and broke several ornaments. My new sewing machine box was smashed, gouged and tore all over due to rough handling, but he denied paying anything to have the machine serviced, Christmas tree bag was ripped and filthy from being drug on ground. Totally filled our trash can with the plastic wrap they removed from items instead of taking it with them. And for all of this the most Dan Stonestreet would pay for the damages was $562. He did send a guy out to fix the china cabinet, dresser mirror and poorly fixed the framed mirror. The guys that were here kept hinting that they are not paid much and gratuity is appreciated. They also kept saying they were not the ones that loaded the truck so the ones that loaded the truck were responsible for the damage. Save yourself the stress of dealing with all this and pay a little more to not have to deal with Dan. Terrible moving company. read more

I hope my story is a one off case. Because based on reviews I called Leaders for a simple unloading of a Uhaul van for my move into Cincinnati. I spoke with Josh on a Wednesday needing movers for Saturday. I knew it was last minute but he called me back a few minutes later after checking if they had the guys available. He told me they had two guys free and gave me their hourly rate. Then he told me they also offer item-based payments and that might be a less-expensive option for me and to email him a list of my items and the address. I did that within 20 minutes of getting off the phone with him. Everything until this point was professional and routine, but then it went off the rails. Thursday I didn't hear anything in the morning so around 2pm sent a quick follow up email to make sure everything was still good. 4:30 I got a response saying he got the list and my price point would probably come down because of it, he was putting it in the system. Nothing more that day. All day Friday I hear nothing. I call them at 5pm to see what's happening because now I'm worried and I was right to be. I spoke to a very nice gentleman but it turns out my original contact never input my information, he wasn't even working that day and best of all their entire crew was booked up so there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. I'm screwed. The second person I spoke with was very apologetic, said this was against protocol, so I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they put me in a real bind. My girlfriend made one call to Big John Movers who had previously told me they were booked solid; they had a cancellation, gave her a quote and confirmed right there, saving the day. As I stated in the beginning I hope this is a one-off incident, but if you do go with Leaders just stay on them about communicating because that was a serious breakdown for me. read more

I would give "0" stars if I could. DO NOT USE LEADERS! They will BREAK your furniture, try and hide it, and then they won't repair it or replace it. They broke 11 pieces of the 33 pieces of indoor furniture that we had moved and also damaged the new house in several areas. Also note, all of our master bedroom furniture and family room furniture was a year old, so basically new and without any dings, dents, or scratches. Before the furniture even arrived, there was trouble. They were late packing our old home and getting things to our new home (you can't park or unload on our street between 3-6, which they knew.) and because they were late starting they couldn't get to our house by 3 so they kept our furniture some where over night so that we arrived at our new home with no furniture and spent our first night sleeping on the hardwood floors of our empty new home. They should have offered us a hotel but did not. We used leaders over the summer and I've given them a fair chance to correct all the damaged and broken pieces that occurred during our move (from Lebanon to Hyde Park, 22 miles. We bought the furniture in Florida and drove it up a year earlier when we bought it and traveled over 900 miles and didn't break or scratch a single item.....really they couldn't go 22 miles without damaging most of what was in their charge?!?! They broke our chest of drawers mirror and tried to hide the mirror so we wouldn't find it right away. (Which made me that much more upset when I finally found it. I was so patient and helpful with the movers even buying and having lunch delivered to them. I feel they took advantage of my kindness and like I said, hid the mirror behind the dresser so I wouldn't see until they'd left that they'd broken it. Completely dishonest! They chipped and scratched our master dresser, gouged and scratched our master bed and nightstand, they scratched the front of my son's chest of drawers (and btw, the won't replace anything bought from IKEA, which is where my son's chest a drawers came from). They broke wholes in the rear of the 3rd bedroom wardrobes, they gouged the wood floor in our 3rd bedroom. They failed to bring our $350 ladder and REFUSED to retrieve it and wouldn't give us our paperwork holding it hostage at the end of the day unless I agreed to take $20 off the bill for the $350 ladder. They broke the glass top on an end table and left many scratches on the top of our glass coffee table. They chipped and scratched our brand new painted basement floor (and offered us $20 for a can of paint, which wouldn't be enough for the paint or the labor to have it repainted, or just the headache of having to move everything back out of our basement to have it repainted.) The movers broke one of the glass panels on our garage door. They gouged the banister and put no protective padding around it or any walls or archways. When I saw them gouge the banister I went and grabbed rags to tape them and protect them further. One of them worked shirtless. They left our refrigerator in the garage because they said they couldn't fit it through the door claiming they had no tools to remove the door (I had a full tool box I offered, they also claimed they were too tired as it was one of the last pieces of the truck. There are several other things I could list but this should give you an idea of our experience. The worst if their "customer service" came via mail today. As stated above, there were several scratches on our coffee table. So using their glass repair company we were quoted a price for it's repair that leaders refused to pay for. So, they contacted the company that we bought the table from and found that they could still buy the damaged piece. Apparently, the company doesn't ship furniture so they sent us a check for $60 to cover the replacement glass. What am I supposed to do with the base of a table and $60 for a piece of glass that can't have shipped? I'd already talked to the person who deals with claims and told her we wouldn't accept $60 for a table that's now rendered useless.That's unacceptable. They broke it and now want to leave us with half a table!?!?!? Would any of you be ok with them breaking your furniture and leaving you without a replacement or having it fixed? If you'd like to hear what else they damaged feel free to send me a message and I'll fill in the rest and send more photos if you'd like to see more. Bottom line, Leaders will break your furniture and then will not fix it or replace it. P.S. They also won't fix anything unless you pay a $100 deductible to file a claim for everything they broke. I finally spoke to the GM around noon who was apologetic and said the Logistics Manager would be in touch. it was until Wednesday, 4 days later, that I finally spoke to the GM who said, "sorry, wish we could help you on your next move." I am writing this on behalf of the company I work for in Jacksonville, FL. We are a mattress company that sells adjustable bases & mattresses locally and on Amazon. I had a customer located in Hamilton whose white glove delivery got messed up by Brendamour services. (What seemed to be the only WG delivery agent in the area). On a whim, I called around and with a lot of luck, I called Leaders and Taylor answered the phone. She was friendly, prompt and most of all willing to help me get the job done even though I was calling from another state. This company agreed to not only set up my customers bed, but they also picked it up from a UPS Freight facility when UPS failed to deliver ( there's a pun there that was unintended but so true). All of this was arranged with short notice and such efficiency that our company WILL be using them for deliveries in the future. I called my customer after the delivery was completed and he was so pleased. I'm talking about a gentleman who was very close to canceling his order. I hadn't heard such joy in his voice before. He is grateful and Sleep Geekz is grateful for the personal service we received. I would honestly rate 10 stars if I could. When I requested an over the phone quote, the receptionist, Grace, was very friendly and detailed, asking exactly 'what' was going to be moved and to where. She emailed me a quote, so I took the quote and shopped around and went with them. For what I had to move it was a little pricy, but in the end it was well worth it. I didn't have much to move, but the things I had were expensive items and a few were heavy and had to be moved to a 3rd floor condo. They were only a bit late, but the highway construction going on made that completely acceptable (they arrived only 20 minutes late) The movers, Chad and Malik, were really friendly and efficient. They removed our items in a half an hour, out the place from where we moved, and it took them about an hour to move everything in to our new place and put where I requested. Altogether it took only around 2-1/2 hours, and they were very careful and nothing was even scratched, including the interiors of our new home. Now to the price point: While I mentioned it was a bit pricy, I paid for the move and nothing else. No hourly rate, no gas or travel charges, everything was included with the pricing Grace gave. Three other companies wanted a base fee, then an hourly charge, and one of them insisted on using three men where this would only take two. So, it is possible I may have saved, but on an hourly basis, this would have been a wash at best. So, I felt comfortable with the price and not having to worry about taking too much time. I learned a lesson moving only 1-1/2 miles made to use three men and it cost me $300 dollars. I actually was paying for one of the men to fold their protective quilts while the other two were moving. This wound up costing me almost $100 more than an actual total bid. In the end, I would really recommend them, they are efficient, detailed, they will tell you the price and the movers were friendly and awesome. You know what you are going to get for the price, it is that simple. read more

Chad was extremely communicative with the progression of the move, and kept us reassured that our belongings would be safely and efficiently moved to our new home. Leaders are great. I have used them for two separate moves; Once in Cincinnati and once in Columbus. What I like is that they give you an estimate over the phone and stick to it when the job is done. My move was done quickly and efficiently and professionally - all the things you would look for in a move. It really saved me the hassle of trying to round up friends and have to ask them to help do heavy lifting and rent a truck and then hope that my friends wouldn't break the furniture or hurt themselves. The guys were also really great about providing advice about where to place the furniture in the home to look the best so I really appreciated how they went the extra step to think about not just moving the furniture, but about how to place the furniture. I can't say enough good things about them and certainly were I to move again I would use them. read more

Alex Hines and Brian Spears did a great job moving me today. They arrived at the end of my estimated arrival window and got right to work. The move of a two bedroom apartment to a two bedroom house took 4 hours. The team deftly maneuvered a sofa bed down three flights of stairs, and carried a futon couch up a flight with a narrow ceiling clearance. Only minor scuff marks on the walls which are to be expected, and should be easily cleaned off with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. The only thing I disliked about using Leaders is that they neglected to call to confirm my move two days in advance as is their practice. I received a call early the morning of my move (with apologies) to sort out the details. Despite this hiccup, overall I would recommend Leaders' services, as well as those of Brian and Alex. read more

I moved out of state and had a very unfortunate experience with Leaders. On delivery day, one of the movers asked me to look at something in the back of the van, it was our antinque dining table that was handed down from family and it was snapped in half. Prior to the move this table had a value of $6,500. The mover was trying to drive the screws from the extension slides back into the bottom of the table, luckily to no success as it would've caused more damage. The table was brought inside and it was noticed that the top surface was blown out where dowel pins burst through during the break and serious dents althroughout the surface were noticeable. The root cause was that Leaders drove a truck from Ohio to North Carolina with an antique dining table loaded all the way to the ceiling, causing my table to snap in half. Additionally, I have a handed down antique Eames wooden chair that has a grape sized dent in it from their packing and moving as well as a less expensive deck chair that has a hole poked through it. I've been trying to get Leaders to agree to a repair plus a post-repair appraisal as well as settlement if the repairs don't return the pieces to original condition but all they'll do is say they'll repair it. I don't want half of a solution that potentially yield scrap furniture values and Leaders has zero understanding or acceptance of responsibility for causing this harm. I would strongly suggest finding a more reputable company if you have a big move as Leaders will not support you if issues arise. This little goof up for them is going to cost me thousands of dollars. This move was in March and here in August they still haven't agreed to anything, now involving the BBB and State Attorney General, next is a lawyer unfortunately and more money. read more

Leaders has done it again! This company did another move for me this weekend from a small ranch to a two story house in Cincinnati (about 15 minutes of a drive apart). Andrew Baker and Tim Lee were my movers - they paid much attention to detail and took extra pre-caution to tape up my stair case of white carpeting as well as laying down plenty of moving blankets to avoid damage to banisters, door thresholds, and walls. Worked hard throughout the whole day into the evening. Very personable people. Even the managers stopped by to make sure the move was going okay and to my satisfaction. Will definitely go to them for my future moving needs (hopefully will not move for a while though). read more

I recently (yesterday) used Leaders Moving based out of Cincinnati and had a very pleasurable experience! I worked with Richie, the branch manager. He came out with his team and surveyed my items (they charge by the weight). He got right back to me with what I felt was a reasonable quote, almost $200 less than another moving company. The day before the move, Richie called to confirm the start time and sure enough, the movers were there (a little early) and were pleasant to work with. My movers were Brandon & Christian, very nice young men. They were careful with my items and patient with me. I will definitely use Leaders Moving again! read more

Leaders Moving was the worst moving experience that I have ever had. The crew showed up smelling strongly like they needed a bath, with dirty uniforms and yellow Dorito dust on their hands. First words out of their mouth was that they accepted (or perhaps, expected) tips. They damaged many pieces of furniture and appliances, tracked oily grease on my new home's carpet, and left both of my houses with holes in the walls and scraped paint. When they trucked my fridge from the rear, I pointed out the large sticker, inches from his face, that said "Never truck from the rear". He replied that he has been a mover for years and knew what he was doing. The manual says that what he was doing was damaging the fridge. Leaders eventually paid for carpet cleaners, drywall and paint repairs, and some furniture work that improved but did not completely restore the items to the condition they were in prior to the move. One of the repair contractors said that he got so much work from Leaders that he did not know how they stayed in business. Me either. read more

They did ok- they were super late and didn't get to us until 10:30pm. They sent two rookies which was a huge mistake. They were very nice and careful but one of the rookies looked like he wasn't going to make it by the end. I understand this is a very physical job but sending two rookies wasn't the smartest choice. My fiance ended up helping the one guy because the younger guy couldn't do it anymore. I would use them again as long as they weren't as late as they were and sent the right guys. read more

The guys who did the actual moving were strong and efficient and very polite as well. Finally, they managed somehow to get all of my stuff into a too-small storage space. I couldn't believe my eyes!! The quote was fairly adjusted by what I had when they showed up, and they were able to add furniture disassembly/assembly without a problem. We had a bit of an elevator issue when arriving at the new building, though the team was profession and figured it out. Daniel and Matt were a great help, friendly, and efficient. It was an absolute nightmare using this company. They did an over the phone quote and then altered it. I was charged an additional $700 and had no choice but to pay the altered amount because they threatened to leave and go back to Cincinnati with my furniture. Loading me took 12 hrs , they only sent two guys and unloading took 10 hrs. I have all kinds of damage and they have yet to call me back so I can make a claim. One of the moving guys was dragging my treadmill upside down on concrete, refusing to place it in the basement where I wanted it. Saying that he wasn't doing this job to place my things where I wanted them!! Absolute nightmare. Don't hire them!!!! read more

From The time we called LEADERS we had nothing but excellent service. Josh came out to her house gave us the estimate and he was true to it. everything that was moved was moved with kindness friendliness and caution. I chose Leader's because they offered the best quoted price for my move. They were able to schedule quickly which was a plus. The day of the move, however, they arrived two hours past their latest quoted time. Luckily I didn't have anything important scheduled that evening and the move itself was extremely quick. The only issue is that I was the one who had to keep calling them to check in. I didn't get a call with an update towards the end of the quoted time. When I called them I was told they would be there within an hour or so and yet it took another 2.5 hours for them to arrive. The crew was very kind when they arrived though, apologized and explained their delay and was very quick and professional with the move. Overall I can't say I was 100% satisfied but given the price and demeanor of the folks when they arrived I still think it ended up better than it would've with many other shops in town. read more

We moved from a large house to a smallish apartment, making for a stressful experience. Apartment building recommend Leaders, though we had never heard of them (we are local, moving 8 minutes away). Email quotes were timely and day of move went fairly smoothly (comedy of errors along the way, none predictable). Jason and Lloyd were polite, strong and worked hard. We were happy to order pizza for them and tip nicely. Pricing was very reasonable, too. read more
