I called around to find a plumber and a mechanical person. Some of the quotes were outrageous. Alex came and gave me a quote that was half the cost of what I was getting. The plumbers had to come out four times at different stages. Meredith was patient and efficient, scheduling with the building department and her staff. Sean showed up looking like the professional he is. Sean started by checking our replacement toilets for cracks and defects. Then he removed the old toilets and installed their replacements. Those old toilets were HEAVY, but Sean carried them downsairs making sure he protected our house and stairs from any damage. When he was done, Sean checked his work carefully and then cleaned up after himself. What a great job - those toilets look like they were always meant to be there. Please trust me when I say to stay with the smaller shops who do a good job at a reasonable price, like McIntyre's Soft Water Service or Wolverine Water Treatment. They've both been around for 40 years with the original owners still working there. They will take their time, not be in a hurry, and explain everything to you. Beauchamps installation people are untrustworthy, sloppy, do a poor job, and leave the house a mess. The sale person said they have 'master plumbers'. The installation person laughed when I mentioned that to him. He said he wish he was a master plumber. Beauchamps has to hire pretty much anywho they can get to get the job done as quickly as they can and hope customer standards are low. They will always be rushed, in a hurry, and learning as they go. They have NO pride in their work. For that, your installation will be sloppy and compromised ! Sales talk a good a talk but you don't see the full picture until installation shows up. Then it's too late. Goto any location and see if you like what you see. The people you will have to deal with when something goes wrong. Think about it and don't be in a hurry to buy. It's a big investment. Don't go for the modern store look as it's all show. Go for those that are honest and will be there for you when something goes wrong. This led to the room being filled with sewer gas every day. I spent days calling calling him and left multiple messages but he never even bothered to call me back once. This is a huge red flag for anyone who has him work on their house. He did not even want to even attempt to stand behind his work or help me diagnose what could have gone wrong in his installation. Make sure you find a plumber who will answer their phone and stand behind their workmanship. Do not use a "one man show" who can slip away and leave you stuck to do the job over again.

Turns out, our current pressure tank didn't have a safety valve, so we chose to replace that and the anode rod. Based on that reputation, I expected quality installation and customer service. We purchased both a water softener and a Dr. Rust system because we were told our well water had a very high iron content. The entire purpose of the Dr. Rust system was to prevent iron staining on our brand-new white siding, stone, driveway, sidewalks, and other exterior surfaces from our irrigation system. A few months after the installation, we discovered rust staining on the exterior of our home. When a technician came out to inspect the system, he found that two wires had never been connected during installation, meaning the Dr. Rust system had not been operating since the day it was installed. I then spoke with the manager, expecting the company to take responsibility for the installation error and discuss restoring our home's exterior. Instead, I was told that we should have contacted them sooner, even though the system had never been functioning because of the installation issue. The only solution offered was to send me a bottle of rust remover. I understand that problems can happen with any installation. What disappointed me most was not that a mistake occurred, but how it was handled afterward. I expected the company to stand behind its work and help restore our property to the condition it would have been in had the system been installed correctly. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
