Called Sharon's this morning because my furnace was blowing out cold air. Within a few hours of calling a technician was here. The technicians name was Jeff, he was very fast, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He was able to fix our furnace for a FRACTION of what I thought I would've been paying. Can't say enough good things about him & sharons. Last summer we also got a new AC unit installed by them. I can't remember the techs name at the time but it was also very fast and efficient. Will be using Sharon's for all of my home repairs. read more

Worst customer service !! I scheduled an appointment to have someone come out today between 12-4 and took PTO time and waited. Was checking my email and someone changed the appointment to tomorrow. I called and was told I rescheduled which was a lie .. I questioned what number called in and then told someone named Monique called me .. lie number 2. Scheduler on phone was rude and acted like it was my fault. Transferred me to the manager, who clearly was in the same room with the girl and pretty much blamed me and stuck to the lie that someone called me and rescheduled. My iPhone shows NO call and NO voicemail. So even if you left a message you decide on your own what day to come ?? I again questioned this and was treated like it was my fault and they could care less. Had to get angry for a crappy apology. I wasted my vacation day and time. I told them I have to work and can't have someone come tomorrow They didn't care and said it was my fault Bye . I'd rather suffer in heat than deal with rude people!! We moved here from NJ almost a year ago. It's tough finding new companies to service all your needs around a newly purchased home. We used Sharon's originally because the sellers had used them previously, so thought give them a try! So far they have proven to be a fair and honest company, I also like the fact that it's a woman ran and owned company. ( not to be sexiest) but hey, 1 up for the ladies!! Today we had a leak around our inside unit to the AC. Turns out hubby was right drain was clogged. It is a scam. a routine pre-season clean up was manipulated into a supposed need for a new furnace by rewiring the controls so that once the furnace turned off it would not re-ignite. Called another contractor and they corrected the wiring. FYI: I was told Sharon is under new ownership. read more

Came home from vacation to find out our air conditioner is no longer blowing cold air. Called the next morning our regular company that we use and they could not get to us for 10 days. Decided to call Sharon's. They came out that afternoon. It ended up that we had a leak and needed Freon. They fixed it and we were comfortable in our cool house again. read more

I had call this company to fix my AC. They check my AC unit and gave me a quote for replacement part. They have quoted parts value 5 to 6 time more than the market value of the product in local market. Locally bought the product for myself close to $160. These guys were pushing me to buy a new furnace unit instead. Technician also broke the interlock switch and stated it was broken before they come in for the visit. Instead they keep arguing with me and implied that I was going through stress in my own home. I would not recommend this agency to any one... would you if you feel unsatisfied with the work and riffing of with inflating the price. Google up to save some money. read more

I was recommended to Sharon's by one of their long time customers. I called and spoke with Sharon about needing a quote and she set me up for an appointment between 10-12 the following day. My wife waited and no one showed by noon so I called, spoke with Sharon again, who apologized for the mishap and rescheduled it for 3 pm the same day. I waited until 6:00 and guess what....no one showed! We wasted 5 hours and a 1/2 day of paid-time-off for nothing! Update: Sharon's reached out with a letter of apology for their mistake. I spoke with Sharon as well and was provided with a satisfactory explanation for the scheduling error, which she took responsibility for. They also provided a service coupon which I utilized for a furnace certification required by the city in order to sell the home. If I could rate this business a big fat ZERO I would. My first experience was by using a Groupon. I had no issue when they came out, it is the second experience that really is the problem. To begin I needed to have my furnace and my air conditioning unit tuned up and checked. When the technician came out on a Friday, he was very professional and was accompanied by a trainee. The first unit they looked at was the furnace no issues were found. On to the air conditioning unit that is where he found I was losing coolant. Based on the age of the unit he highly recommended I consider replacing it with a newer one. After I thought about it, I figured I would need to go ahead and do as suggested considering that it was close to 15 years old. When we sat down to discuss the options, I finally decided to go ahead make the appointment for the installation. This was to happen the following week. I signed the order and agreed to the price. After they departed, I realized I needed to cancel the order because I had another obligation. I immediately called the following day and also sent an email requesting the cancellation. This was less than 24 hours for the phone call. The following Monday I called to make sure they received my request since they are closed on the weekends. I was told yes and that I would be receiving a refund in a few days. When I did get the refund, it was not for the full amount and that there was a $100 less from my payment. I called immediately to find out why I was less $100. The person on the other end said it was for a restocking fee. Now there was nothing told to me orally or in writing on the order that if I cancelled, I would be charged a restocking fee. This amazed me since my installation was not going to occur until a week later. There was no way they ordered the unit just before closing at 5:00p.m. on Friday at 3:00p.m. had it delivered and on site for the following week. I tried to reason with them but they were adamant that I be charged a restocking fee. MICHIGAN CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT- Act 331 of 1976 allows you to cancel an order without penalty within 3 business days. Because they were not willing to work with me on this matter, I tried through my banking system to retrieve my $100 but to no avail. To me this is a shady business practice so I wrote to the Attorney General and they finally refunded me my money. The response they gave to the Attorney General was that the $100 was for labor. This was an outright lie and I am surprised they responded with this since it is noted on my bill that the $100 was for an illegal restocking fee. Buyer beware I would stay clear of this company if they are willing to lie to the Attorney General than what lies are they telling their customers. The sad thing is I try and support small business but not any that are unscrupulous. read more

I was told my appnt. time was between 12-4. The techs showed up @ 6 with no apology and no explanation. My husband took off of work when he didn't need too. Our furnace is very old and needs to be replaced which we knew but they supposedly got it working and they were off. It never worked at all. I called the next day and I talked to the same man that came to the house. He said I told you you need a new one. I said well we want you to put in a blower motor first to get it going. He said well I don't know if I can come today. I feel that since I already waited my turn and they didn't fix the problem, I should have been a priority. Again no call no show. Recommend, but with some reservation. We contracted with Sharon's to install a Dual-Zone Mini-split A/C unit. Scheduled installation was for Feb 16th & 17th. Early on the morning of the 16th we were contacted that the technician would be arriving within 30 minutes. Upon arrival we were greeted by polite, professional gentlemen. They quickly assessed the job, and promptly began working. They carefully communicated what would be happening. The gentlemen were very considerate of our home, the pets, and worked efficiently. At the end of the day they tidied up and said they would return the next day. The next morning we received a call before the scheduled arrival time. The tech politely explained that due to an emergency he would not be able to be out, but would return on Friday to complete work. Friday morning we received a text that again the tech would be unable to to come out, and work would be completed the following Monday. We understand emergencies, and apparently the flu had gone through Sharon's and several employees were ill. But, we still had lost time at work as we had scheduled time off for the install. The planned 2 day install was now spanning 6 days, and required yet another work absence. We were disappointed that Sharon's was unable to schedule another technician to complete the work. Monday the technicians returned, completed the install. The workmanship is excellent. The install is clean, neat, and definitely professional. The unit was supposed to come with 2 remote controls. We only received one. We have packaging, batteries, and holders for 2, but one apparently escaped in the bottom of one of the shipping boxes. We contacted the office, and Sharon's quickly placed an order for a replacement unit, which should be arriving soon. So, from a technical standpoint, Sharon's did an excellent job. From a Customer Service standpoint, circumstances may have conspired against them, but the customer carried the consequences. Sharon's left us feeling that we were inconsequential. read more

I had them install an account unit in my home. For 2 years I called them and told them water was in my heat vents when I ran the ac. They would come out and do nothing. Finally last year I googled it and found out then put the coil in upside down and it was the wrong coil. This year I turned on the unit and it won't even cool the house. They left a leak in the system. So for 2800 I got one season of a cool house. They have done nothing to resolve this issue or even apologize for their original error. I had this company do a "heating comprehensive tune-up". They did an excellent job. Technician Dustin T did a good job in every way. He called when he was on his way. He got there on time. He patiently answered all of my questions. He seemed to have knowledge above and beyond what he needed to do his job. He did good careful work. I felt I could be confident in him, in the work performed, and in his company. I called more than 25 companies on Consumers Energy's list, and Sharon's was the least expensive. My furnace was over 60 years old, it was not efficient and parts were hard to find. We had Sharon's come out and give us a quote on a new furnace and A/C unit. The new furnace was installed in 1 day, and he next day they connected the A/C unit. Everything about the install was perfect, they cleaned and installed new ducting, sealed the ducts to prevent leaks, and installed a chimney liner for the hot water tank. They made sure it was clean before they left and they went over what they did with me before they were done. They left documents and instructions on warranty etc. What a difference compared to the old furnace, I cant even tell its running. We have had Sharon's service in the past and they were always honest and fair in price. Great job!! read more

We've used Sharon's for many years at several different houses and always had great experiences. They are easy to schedule and arrive on time. The technicians do a thorough job and work with us to understand the issues. Most of the time the service performed fixed our issue. If not, they've been happy to come back out and make it right for no additional service charge. The fan on my Central AC unit died. I called Sharon's and they sent a technician to my home and he did agree the fan motor had died. He replaced the fan motor and my AC works as normal! The replacement/work cost was less than I had researched online so that was a bonus! read more

HORRIBLE!!! Yes, they get there quick, maybe because more reputable companies are in demand. Sharon herself agreed to assist on our install, then NEVER MEASURED the duct work. We had to sue Sharon's when it did not fit, and deal with their hostile office manager who knew nothing about what had occurred in the process. We won the judgement, dishonorable Sharon still has not paid. Btw, when I called for a refund of the unused duct work, Sharon said through her receptionist that she did not measure because we did not give her the full install. Had Sharon's come out to service my ac unit. Charged me 120$ and only changed my fuses. The guy who came out was in a big hurry and barely looked at my unit. After 5 years of not getting air to my guest bedroom and having multiple companies look into it, Sharon's methodically investigated the issue and resolved it. They went above and beyond to fix this issue when other companies gave up or were not interested in dealing with it. I am super grateful to their team. I also really enjoyed working with a woman owned and operated company. Both Sharon and her team explained everything they were doing and talked to me with respect. So many times with other companies I have been talked down to and there is clear difference in the way a technician communicates with me and the way they communicate with my husband.
