Not as advertised, if your home is subject to tree leaves, tree needles or debris they will not work. They claim ladders are to dangerous and you wont have to clean out you gutters is a lie. Once the leaves or debris builds up on top of the gutters the water flows right overtop and down the face of the gutter so you will have to climb those dangerous ladders and clean off the top of the gutter guard. read more

Be aware!! BE AWARE!! Take your business somewhere to a company that will actually care, do a good job, communicate, etc...... My wife and I were really excited for Leaf filter and new gutters. The day of installation they were late by 3 hours from when they said they were coming. The installers caused damage to my roof when they were removing my old gutters. The filter itself had gaps all over. They put black screws instead of the matching color as promised in the contract. The installers did most of the work in the dark. They had to come back the next day because my kids needed to go to bed for school the next day. They left about 10 feet of a 40-foot gutter hanging off the house when they left the first night. They didn't clean up afterwards and left a bunch of screws and trash around my property and the driveway.to include cigarette butts. I was told that after they install the new gutters they would clean out the down spouts to ensure they wouldn't ever clog... Well by no surprise with these installers, they didn't even do that. All I got when I first called was nothing but excuses on the "hired help" that they contracted with. It took leaf filter 5 times and different people to come out to my house from 12/5/23 to 1/25/24 to come get the problems fixed. I was told the "roofer" was so good he would be able to look at the color of my shingles and just know. He even came to the house and took a sample of the shingle and still came back to the house with the wrong color shingles. But of course, every time they came out, they were trying to get me to sign that the job was completed, to which it wasn't. Then we got some snow (which it just builds up on the filter and then water drips over the gutter) and after it melted, one gutter was leaking. I had to get a service request for that. Was told by Alex they were "working on something" to take care of me for all of the problems we had. Then I had Jimmy come to have me sign the completion paperwork. Now every time i contact Jimmy its more excuses like "sorry, we are moving offices, I am still waiting to hear back" or other BS excuses. Everyone I spoke with was adamant they were "going to take care of me" and I was worried that even after signing the COC it was going never going to happen. Every time I called for an update it has been nothing but excuses on why they won't just take care of me for how bad this has been. I have never been contacted to even give me an update of "how they are going to take care of me". It would just be nice for someone to have accountability with how bad this job was. Good thing I had my drone to inspect the horrible job done in the first place, otherwise I probably would not have known about all the gaps in the filter and the job being done incorrectly. Think twice before hiring Leaf Filter unless you enjoy having damage to your house and a headache to get to get it fixed. If I could give a -5 star, I would. Take your business elsewhere if you can. If I could, I'd have them give my money back and come take their gutters and filters off of my house and go with a different company. Leaf filter installed a single gutter (without leaf filter) on the back of the house but did not tuck the gutter under the drip edge and so it leaked through and did not solve the problem. Their technician fixed it when I complained. I recently called and asked for a quote to add the leaf filter to the gutter. Salesman said he would call me back - he never did. I called and he said it slipped his mind. He then provided a quote that I accepted. He scheduled a four hour installation window for which I had to make a special trip. Their installers didn't show as promised and didn't call informing of the delay. I called the salesman and he explained he didn't know anything about it. Had a sales representative named Bryan come by about 11am this morning. He said he would measure our home and give us an estimate. He waited for our daughter to arrive since she was picking up the tab. She came with her infant which was antsy and even though he could see she had her hands full, he would not get to the point and give an estimate. After talking non stop for 2 hours and frustrating her, he said $6,399.00 for very little work. We were appalled. My God, was he kidding? I am having work done on my foundation and thought it would be a good idea to have my gutters checked out as well since that can also affect foundations if you experience a lot of rain. I only wanted an estimate. I am going to try and not make this long and tedious for anyone reading this... Everything started out fine during the inspection of my gutters, but when it came to the presentation (which was rushed) and the actual estimate, things took a very bad turn. I was told that my existing gutters were actually fine, that I didn't need new ones, so they would only have to install the leaf filters. My first quote was $11,635.00! I live in a 1300 sq ft, one story home with a roof that is not pitched... I was given three other lesser discounted quotes, but I needed to act immediately to get it. The one specialist kept insisting that I finance even though I refused MULTIPLE times and was crystal clear that I would not even consider financing and that's when he started to lose patience with me and even begin to point out that I financed my car, etc... The price went from $11,635 to $2,928.00 as long as I called by 9pm to lock it in. I have never been so offended in my life! I don't like the way that I was talked to when I refused to finance, or how it was assumed that I would even trust this company to correctly install the filters after nearly being over charged for a project. I will say that the "new trainee technician" who came out to assist was very pleasant and professional. I get that they have employees to pay, slow seasons and all of that, but I am entering the senior status of my life with limited income as well. They claim to have outstanding customer service from beginning to end, but dealing with their service department after a tree fell on my garage has been an extremely frustrating experience. A tree fell on my garage on 8/19/2024, 3 weeks after I had Leaf Filter guards installed. It is now 10/30/2024 and all the repairs to the roof and siding have been completed but not the gutter. Numerous attempts to contact anyone at the Boston office by phone or email have been ignored. Contacting the main office service department prompts them to react but communication between the two offices is shoddy at best. You can't count on them to help you out, and this is something I have to pay for as it's not covered under the warranty. I'd hate to see how they handle service requests under warranty. We had LeafFilter installed on our house and barn years ago. The only problem we had was that the water pressure was so high coming off the south side of the barn, it blew out part of the downspout that needed tightening. No clogging with sticks and leaves that blow right off it, and wasps can't get through it to build their homes. We NEED clear gutters and no luck with other gutter guards in the past. Our water system consists of three cisterns without which there would be no showers, no laundry, no toilet flushing. When the disastrous lake effect storms took down our house gutters in December, I didn't shop around. Called LeafFilter and though we had sub-zero wind chills and some miscommunication that held up installation, the job got finished today. Chris Jackson, our installer, was cordial, efficient and professional; AND he did the installation in freezing wind chills, saying he really didn't mind the weather. LeafFilter is more expensive but well worth the money. And if you get a fellow named Chris Jackson to do the installation, you're REALLY lucky! read more

I had my gutters put in in March of 2023. I was told I had a lifetime warranty which would even carry over to the new owner of my house if I ever sold my home. So I call on March 14th of this year to have them have someone come out and fix the gutter that is pulling away from my house. The guy tells me because I didn't decide to get the filters put on my gutters I have no warranty on them. Tells me a representative from their Mobile Alabama office will call me on Monday. We'll it's Tuesday no call. This company is a rip off. They do not back their work and apparently not their lifetime warranty. I am reporting them to the BBB and going to talk to my attorney about suing for out right lying to their customer. I knew there were issues from the first time they came out. They sent two men that looked like they just got out of prison they couldn't even do the job because they didn't have all the equipment to do the job. Then asked me for gas money. This is also the second time I have had to call about the gutters giving way from the house. The first time they didn't charge me. Awful experience with the LeafFilter North team. We were supposed to have wedges installed so my gutters sit flat with my roof. They were on the contract as well as the order form. However, there were no wedges installed. The man stated they were not on the order. We did not pay the crew as the job was not complete. After looking at the installation the next day, we see there are more problems than just the lack of wedges. The downspouts don't come down to the ground. Matter of fact, two of them sit ON TOP of my foundation with nothing to pull the water away from it. I'm no expert, but that seems as though it defeats the purpose of gutters. Next, we were insured that this install would not touch our roof or shingles as that voids the roof warranty. My shingles are lifted in SEVERAL places as well as straps nailed into my roof. We NEVER gave permission to have anything nailed into our roof. I had seven downspouts installed. Two of them work. Unfortunately, it's the two that sit on top my my foundation. The others don't collect any water because they sit flush with the roof. The others leak where the downspout bends. So much for that "50-year leak-resistant silicone." The inspector who came to my home laughed all the way through the inspection and repeatedly said "this is not our work" and he was embarrassed to be wearing a LeafFilter shirt. He was very nice and attentive. He took several pictures and assured me there would be a new crew who "knew what they were doing" coming to do the install the next week. A very nice two-person crew came Monday morning and they were not thrilled with the work they saw. They fixed the problems we had and discovered our downspouts were NEVER SEALED. They didn't have the downspout extenders we were supposed to have so they went to Home Depot to purchase them and came back and installed them. After that, the job looked significantly better and the crew was paid. However, the next time it rained, I discovered that TWO of the downspouts weren't sealed. Again. Not only that, but there is a hole in the back of the gutter that goes across my front porch that was never sealed so it leaks right in front of my walkway. A tech is scheduled to come out on 9/27. Let's hope this is the last time I need to interact with this company. I do not recommend, nor will I EVER recommend this company to anyone. My Leaf Filter screens plug up with debris from trees. The rainwater flows over the debris without falling into the gutters. It's the same as having plugged up gutters. When the salesman examined my house for a quote and saw that I had trees in my yard, he should have told me that Leaf Filter would not work for me. I had a LeafFilter sales person come to my home, and he sold me their gutter system, along with gutters for my shed, and some new downspouts. I was pleased with that interaction. We signed a contract on the spot, and had a loan approved and ready for the work to be done. Fast forward to the install date. No one showed up. I tried calling support and was told someone would call me back that day or the next. No one did. I called support again. I was told the same thing, and finally someone called back. He apologized and said that the price had increased, and that they couldn't honor the contract. I challenged that, since the contract stated that either party had only three days to back out, otherwise the contract was binding. Since no one had communicated to me, and the job was not actually cancelled, I felt they were bound to their agreement. He agreed, and said he had to get some approvals and would call me back the following day. He never did. I called him back, and it went to a voicemail with no name, and said the voicemail box was full. I called support again. They are escalating this up to management, and will have them call me back. This is probably the worst customer support I've received from a company. First, they mess up and underbid a job. Then they fail to cancel the job. Then they fail to follow-up with the customer after being reached out to. Just awful! Terrible experience with LeafFilter. I would absolutely avoid this company as they are not trustworthy. They will create a media disinformation on how good the company and their products are. It's a scam at the market level. Their price is outrageous, but you can play game with them and they will drop their price by nearly 80%. Remember, this is a gutter protection product and can't be more expensive than the gutter itself. They are a lot of people paying excessively where what they pay could install the entire gutter system twice over. The google search would tell you the average cost of LeafFilter which is outrageously high. For a similar stainless steel mesh guard, you wouldn't even pay $500 for 200 linear foot. I admit that I was a sucker to install LeafFilter and got a 75% discount from their initial price. But the installers didn't show up on the day they promised. It was a pretty windy day. LeafFilter claimed that they had their crew at my house and the roof was too tall and their ladder wasn't long enough. I have a video camera in front of the house and we wouldn't have missed them. I had removed them and simply needed new seamless gutters. He told me they also installed gutters. So I provided my contact info to discuss it. MISTAKE. They called and called and called. I couldn't take their call because I was cooking at the time. When I finally did take their call, it was all a pressure cooker. I couldn't even describe what I was interested in. Each time I tried to explain what is I was interested in, he would just interrupt and insist on an appointment. I was excited to get the filters on our gutters and the salesperson was very persuasive. As our home really needed this service - we had a leak in our gutter in our living room which sometimes leaked inside - we were happy they could come out so soon. BUT, the workmanship was shoddy, they didn't deliver on their promises, especially the one to clean out the gutters before applying the filters. After they were done, the gutters were still dirty, they didn't match up any of the trim and our leak is still there. I had an appointment twice for someone to come out and both times they were no shows. They have been completely unresponsive to me after I sent them videos. Sold a bill of goods by the pushy salesman, Clark. Bought the product, along with new gutters. We're getting close to retirement and want to fix/upgrade all we can. First, we couldn't communicate with the installation crew due to language barrier - very poor customer service. Then, when they 'finished', they had to show us a leaking elbow, stating it was manufacturing defect. FINALLY, got them to replace with one that didn't leak. THEN, the long run on the front of the house was bellied and the gutter was a little warped. THEN, we found a roofer a installed drip edge incorrectly, and the gutters should not have even been installed due to this issue. In other words, if my car wheel rim is cracked, you don't just put a new tire on it and hope for the best. Communication sucks, at best! They are more interested in getting a couple hundred bucks from us, after we paid them over 8K, to remove the gutters so the roofers can come back and do their repairs....again, the gutters should not have been installed on top of damaged or incorrectly installed infrastructure. They're very good about calling for that money, but Sean will not return a call after he left a voice mail for us. He originally quoted us $6,000 dollars for the entire house of gutters, when we stated that the price was out of our budget, he quickly gave a " sign contract today" price of a little less then $4,240.. This was still more then we expected to pay, so he called his boss and he came back with a price of $1800.00.. Of course that was more like what we were thinking considering Lowes sells their gutters at about this lower price and they have private installers... The Salt Lake City sales agent Tim Pelca came to our house while I was gone and used repeated false pricing information and manipulative high pressure sales to pressure my partner into signing a $1,000 buyers agreement to install gutter protection on our house before he would leave. Worse then a sleezy used car salesman these guys will bait you into coming inside your home for a "10 min" appraisal review and then will not leave until they wear you down to signing something. The only way to cancel this agreement is to mail them a written notice of cancellation of service within 72hrs. There is no way to cancel online and the website is not working. I called Leaf Filter Denver office for a free quote of Gutter Guards on my new existing gutters. The salesman tried shaking me out of as much money as he could. He started at near 6000.00 then dropped to about 4600.00 then 3400.00. All too expensive for me. My existing gutters only cost 1400.00 to install. Finally I said I would not pay more than 2000.00 and he said he could do that. (As long as I didn't tell any neighbors what I paid... give me a break) What a shyster! Later after installation I was handed a copy of the warranty and Hail and Storms are NOT covered. Warranty is void! So he flat lied to me. If you are in Southern Colorado beware of Leaf Filter. My experience with LeafFilter could have been better from the high-pressure sales to the fact that they sent the local contractor to do the job. When the contractor showed up, he told me I should replace the front gutter, which I did for an additional $400 cash, on top fo the $5600 the company charged. At the end of the job, considering the clause, I expected to see well-graded chute on my house. This was not the case; the channels are not adequately angled for drainage.
