I'm very disappointed with the workmanship from this roofing company. The issues had nothing to do with the shingles themselves -- the problem was the installation. The crew nailed the shingles far too low, which compromises the integrity of the roof and can significantly shorten its lifespan. Proper nail placement is basic roofing knowledge, so this was extremely concerning. In addition, they reused materials that should have been replaced, which raises further questions about their standards and attention to detail. We had AVI come out 3 separate times and all 3 times they kept stating the issues was NOT theirs but would not give us a straight answer on the real issues until we had to hire another roofing company to repair their work. To add insult to injury , AVI charged us each time they came out ($500). Quality installation is just as important as quality materials, and unfortunately, that standard was not met. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company carefully inspect the work and ask detailed questions before signing off on a project. *** 3/3/26 response to AVI about my review*** We purchased our home in December, and the roof was installed in October -- just two months before we took ownership. Within three months of living in the home, the shingles began lifting and coming off. That is not normal wear and tear, and it certainly raises concerns about workmanship. Regarding not being able to find our name -- that may be because we purchased the property after the roof was installed. The work would likely be listed under the previous homeowner's name, not ours. I would encourage you to review your October installations at that address rather than searching only by our name. Both my husband and myself have spoken to your company several times and had 4 different people on separate occasions come to our home. Not once did you mention the error with nailing the roof even though pictures show this poor workmanship. It is also concerning to hear you state that you do not warranty your work after only 2 months! A roof should last years, not months. Regardless of ownership changes, a recently installed roof failing within such a short timeframe speaks for itself. We are simply sharing our experience so others are aware. AVI Roofing is the ONLY roofing company you should trust to get the job done. As soon as I called them to report a leak, they were right over. It was discovered that the through a manufacturing defect, the shingles weren't wearing well, after a three year period. Denny Chadwick, VP of Production, was very kind, friendly and helpful, as he promised to do all the work to help us apply through our 30 year roofing warranty company. Denny was persistent with our warranty company, when they wouldn't pay for all of the shingles to be replaced, and in fact in the end, Denny made sure that my entire roof was replaced at no cost to us. Our 30 year warranty started over again from the day the new roof was installed. The workers were polite and courteous, as they cleaned up everything until the job was done. Their supervisor was vigilant to make sure the work was exceptional, and safety was his main concern. AVI brought a large crew to finish the 12 hour job in one day, and they were meticulous and hard working. I salute AVI for their excellent service and commitment to excellent standards! AVI roofing was chosen by my general contractor to replace a roof that was hail damaged in late 2019. I had nothing but troubles with AVI and cannot recommend them to anyone for anything. I hated every second of dealing with this company and they caused me so many problems. AVOID AVI ROOFING UNLESS YOU WANT LIKE THREE WEEKS OF YOUR LIFE RUINED. Quick recap of problems: - Removed/discarded 2 gutters that weren't to be removed - took over a week for them to replace, then another visit after those were leaking. - Destroyed a patio furniture cover from falling debris - they did reimburse me for this extremely promptly. - Didn't clean up very well - like at all. I found boxes of nails in my yard, my gutters were full of debris, my yard and trees were full of tar paper - Multiple shingles buckled, some sloppy work had to be corrected - Didn't paint roof jacks or vents - had to come back twice to do this - Put a crushed vent in - had to come back to replace - When reconnecting the furnace vent they tried 4 (FOUR!) different times and couldn't get it straight. They offered to come back a 5th time, I asked them what made them think they could do it the 5th time? No answer, I told them not to ever back. My company representative (Mike) was communicative, friendly, and willing to address the issues but when you pay $25k for a roof, you shouldn't be dealing with this nonsense. The job should be well done and cleaned up. Well it wasn't. Took 9, yes NINE, visits for AVI to remedy everything they broke or couldn't do correctly. And they couldn't even reattach the furnace vent straight (and claimed it was like that previously even though I showed them countless pictures). I also had a decking job going on at the same time (so 2 dumpsters on my property) and the roofers ran out of space in their dumpster. They asked the deck guys if they could put stuff in their dumpster on the last day of the roof job. The deck guys said "hell no" because the dump charges by the pound. Well GUESS WHAT, the roofers put the last day of debris into the DECK GUYS DUMPSTER. Holy crap were they pissed and I had to deal with that. AVI can go directly to hell for doing this to me and them. Lastly - and no one's fault - but my 3 day job (which lasted 5 days) was started the night before a unexpected freezing rain came in. I fully expected my roof to be tarped and everything protected but the crew left ~60% of my roof exposed with just tar paper covering it. Google what happens when it rains during a roof job and NO GOOD ROOFER WILL LEAVE A ROOF EXPOSED EVER. We have a nerve wracking evening and morning as about .75" of ice built up and took till lunch the next day to melt off. If anyone on the crew spoke English it would have been much easier to deal with these types of situations. I had to play phone tag with a rep at the office to understand anything going on at my house or to communicate with the workers that were trying to get on the roof the next morning - "careful! there's ice everywhere!" as they slipped and almost fell off and then waited in their truck for 5 hours for melt off. My uncle got his roof done by AVI. I was at the house while they were roofing it. The roof itself came out alright but the clean up was terrible. Nails were all over his yard trash ended up in his neighbor's yard. The roofers were very polite however they were all smoking weed through out the day. Not very safe to be getting high while your two stories high with no safety gear. I understand it's hard to get every last peice of trash but they clearly did not spend much time on it read more

I would never use this company again. AVI charged me an arbitrary amount of interest on an old bill and would not explain why. Their receptionist hung up on me for asking to speak with the billing department numerous times and no one would call me back. No one at the company would explain the extra charges, even when I explicitly stated I was trying to pay my bill! If I could give them 0 out of 5 I would. I have been doing various forms of construction for over 15 years and this the WORST and messiest company I have ever seen actually get hired for a job. They leave their trash all over the job site, don't clean up debris and have ruined the parking lot cement and fencing at our apartment complex. Last week while tearing the shingles off our apartment they knocked a light fixture off our ceiling and put a hole through the ceiling and dry wall in another spot. The workers also stole the lightbulb from our balcony light and clipped a cactus plant we had sitting on our balcony. If you want a horrible roofing experience and hope it takes all year to finish these are your guys! read more

I need to give a big shout out to AVI for coming through using good business ethics and stand up customer service. Last year AVI did my new roof and subcontracted out my deck repairs. The roof was awesome but the deck was a disaster. I was out of town so the sub contractor picked the color (awful red) and jumped my fence to do the job with power washing and staining done the same day. I told them I would be out of town but it was done anyway causing lots of problems for my pet sitters. I complained to AVI and they promised in the Spring to redo the deck with no cost to me. It was done last week by Affordable Painting and Scott's guy did a wonderful job I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this company if you are big on customer service and good work performed like I am. read more

We selected AVI Roofing last summer. They were honest about not being the top rated but being a company that works to resolve issues. There have been some bumps in the road - the right hand doesn't always know what the left is doing. They started the process of placing a mechanic lien on our home after the project manager had signed off a lien waiver saying we had paid in full. The roof is under warrantee and they are honoring the warrantee, however, the roof continues to leak in one area and they have been out to fix that several times. So, there is good news and bad news. read more

problems from the beginning-no one spoke english on the project and the workers were taking off asbestos tile shingles on the dormer to fit the shingles up under-you cannot replace them-didn't understand english to stop!!#2 did not pass inspection-needed to come back and redo stuff. #3 leak in roof from skylight flashing-my husband spent 2hr of his time climbing in the attic to find the leak-they did repair it -but what about our time!! #4 punched whole in swamp cooler water pan-unable to use my husband again had to spend time and repair it-the mgr said that the owner won't believe that they did it so we just have to fix it ourselves- #5 multiple billing issues. I had my insurance company handle all the hail repair to my home from the May 2017 storm. USAA called in Delta Disaster to coordinate all the repairs. Delta Disaster hired AVI to handle all the repairs, roof, gutters, siding and windows, which lead to painting and electrical work. AVI was excellent. Easy to work with, responsive, and everyone they sent out to my home was pleasant and seemed intent on making me happy with the work they were doing for me. Aside from occasional contact from random people from AVI via phone calls to touch base with me on how the project was progressing, I felt very informed and Pete always returned my calls or emails. I am over the moon thrilled with the work they did at my home. And it is all done! I highly recommend and am so very glad I had the insurance company handle contracting the repairs. One of my neighbors showed me an accounting of all she has gone through to get her home repaired. She lists six contractors and the contact document is 6 pages long starting in May 2018 and her project is not completed. read more

AVI Roofing & Gutters assisted us with window replacement - what a great job! I would give 10 stars if available! The crew was knowledgeable, friendly and tidy. They went over and above to inform us about each step of the process - if you've ever had windows replaced in an entire house, you know what a huge job this is. The crew was there when they said they would be, worked long hard hours, cleaned up and communicated with us before they left to make sure we were happy with the site and work completed that day. They were hired by my home builder to install heat tape in a drain that runs under my driveway. The install job looks like something my 10 year old nephew would be proud of. Electrical wires were left dangling from my roof overhang. Zero effort was put in to hide the wiring. On another job regarding leaking gutters they thought it would be OK to just put a piece of wood up on the roof to divert water. This company is completely unprofessional. Do NOT hire this company for roofing. I was coming out of my apartment and was struck in the back by debris that was thrown from the roof. They missed the garbage pile by 6 feet at least and threw it directly in the entryway to my apartment. When I told the site manager for the roofers about this he said "kinda unavoidable". He then said it was probably just dirt that hit me. I know what hit me, it was not dirt. No apology given. read more
