We have had leaf filter installed on our home twice! Crazy hu? The Iowa Deracho damaged our roof and long story short we had to have our Leaf Filter gutters Re-installed. Total spend in 5 years approximately $20K. We have been in contact with the Grimes branch since our second installation. We have an area at the back of our home that needs a miter or different solution because even when cleaned weekly, we have a 3 story waterfall that is washing our yard out. They have sometimes ignored us or said they were sending someone and then they sent someone to our home about a month ago. I was home but working and didn't get to see the finished solution until after the technician left. Besides wanting to charge us $95 for a visit that was an unresolved problem from installation - the tech put 3 random pieces of metal together with screws - and placed it in the corner of the roof line where we had the issue. So this is what you get once your system is installed. Poor service and even worse (and ugly) solution to our problem. Oh their "solution" doesn't work. We would NOT recommend LeafFilter because of the lack of customer service once your system is installed. read more

I like the product the most. The product works and we have not had to clean our gutters. The debris that collects on top of the gutter blows away. The sales person and sales tactic suck. They came over and said it would be $10,000, then said if I signed with them today it would only be $7000. I didn't give them a dime and they still came in a month to do the work at the lower price. The works that came were fast and efficient. They made a mess with the leaves on the ground. They left dirty hand prints on my white gutters and house. I asked the sales guy if he was coming to check the workers, he said no. I had the workers come back and pick up all the leaves and clean the dirty hands prints off the house. read more

I had a great experience. Colton showed up right on time and took measurements and then we sat down and he was very easy to talk to. I had made up my mind to get Leaf Blaster Pro. Colton explained to me the differences between the two products and it was clear that LeafFilter was the better product for my needs. The next day, they were installed by noon. Called them to get a quote on gutters, one of the 1st things they ask is when will my husband be there...I am not into men so no husband, that's ok it was a blanket questions so what ever. The guy came out, kinda an arrogant attitude, but he played with my dog so I let it go. He asked me multiple questions that had nothing to do with my gutters, which was annoying because I was doing this before work. Finally time for a quote...I'm trying to keep cost down due to the fact that I'm remodeling my home, he basically mocked me for that even being a thought I had. Product looked good but I don't do business with companies who make you feel like you are beneath them. Decided to go with another company based on this guy's approach of mock and laugh at the customer, then act mildly annoyed you didn't close the deal. read more

This company just wants to take your money and lie to you! After Derecho, house needed new gutters. Got a quote from LeafFilter and they quoted several hundred dollars more than what the insurance had estimated. So we went to our insurance agent and the insurance company said they would cover the additional amount per the quote, about $700. When we informed LeafFilter that the insurance would cover the full cost, they wanted half down payment, which was fine. HOWEVER, got a call a few hours later and the LeafFilter guy we talked to suddenly said, "Oh, well, by the way, I made a mistake on the quote and didn't add all this..." And proceeded to say he it'd cost double now. Look, people make mistakes on quotes. I get it, I do. But the way he was acting and then trying to tell us that he wanted more money and not really get into what the extra cost was about, it's like when he found out our insurance would play, he thought he might try to squeeze more out of the insurance or us. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! At this point--we knew LeafFilter was trying to fleece us and thought we'd be stupid enough to say yes. We said we weren't interested and called his boss, stating that his employee's tactics we're unprofessional and clearly trying to take advantage of us and the situation. The boss launched was a jerk and launched into this big ole speech about how this employee was his top-rated sales guy and blah-blah-blah and basically defended these very shady tactics and was just plain unpleasant to deal with. THIS COMPANY IS CROOKED. Awful customer service, no professionalism. They'll fleece you if you can and will try to steal your money. Go with someone else. read more

We went to the CeleBrasian Festival in downtown Des Moines Saturday evening and the guy you had working at the booth called me over with all the charm of a "carnival barker". He went into his sales spiel and then wanted to send me information. My wife told him we don't own a home. He got mad and rudely told us we had wasted 3 minutes of his time! We didn't get a chance to tell him we were interested in the technology, as we are in the process of buying multiple residential properties in the Des Moines area, and installing leafless gutters is a viable consideration. But not with your company thanks to this guy. read more

If this systems works for your house, great. However, if it doesn't, there are two things to know based on my own experience with LeafFilter. 1. LeafFilter will not return to your house to remove the system. 2. LeafFilter does NOT give refunds, full or partial. Ask about these two items before you purchase. read more

Leaf Filter installed a mesh covering for my gutters and put up some soffit and fascia They did a very sloppy job. Screws were not cleaned up after the job and I got 2 flat tires which were directly caused by the screws used to install. After a year I am still picking up screw left in my garden and driveway. The mesh drains the water but unlike leaf gutter or other products, the leafs remain on the mesh coverings and I still had to hire someone to remove the leafs off the mesh. I called to complain and was told the "fine print" says the Leafs will not clog the gutter. Well they don't clog the gutter they just clog the top of the mesh on the gutters. WORTHLESS!! You still need to clean the leaves off your gutters. I called Wells Fargo who financed it and no help from them. The facia they installed was warped when they installed it and it is still warped. They said it was because of "old wood" under the fascia. If I had known it would look like this, I would not have proceeded. Also there is a leak in the gutter that only leaked after in installation. Calling customer service, I am only berated and told to read the contract better. There are great companies-reputable companies-good service companies. Leaf Filter is not one of them!! You get what you pay for. In this case what I got was not close to what I paid for! read more
