After the storm we had where there was flooding (thankfully my home did not have flooding) we had some roof/gutter damage that lead to leaking inside the home. When I called out to several contractors Roof Iowa was the first to respond and promptly come out to look at what needed to be done. They worked with the report that my home owners insurance created and generated their estimate. Once that was hammered out they got me scheduled in, (literally squeezing me in what I can only assume was an already full schedule since I had active leaking). Their crew came out and started working at 7:30am and they were done and cleaned up by 4:00pm the same day. I called Roof Iowa to have them take a look at my roof above the bathroom and received a call back right away. I greatly appreciate the quick call back. They we're able to check it quickly. The owner got on the roof and found most likely the problem and was able to apply caulking around the two vent pipes where deterioration had occurred. This was done at no charge! Unheard of in today's world. He took pictures of the problem and explained in layman terms and the status of the current condition of the roof. Very honest assessment. My experience with them was infinitely better than two other companies we had attempted to work with previously that basically told us for the amount of money it would not be worth their time or just simply never showed up or returned our calls. Jon showed up when he said he would, went out of his way to explain in layman's terms what our necessary repairs were and why, and documented via photo the areas of concern and repair. He accommodated my son's nap time by getting the work done before or after. Not only that, but he found and repaired things that our home inspector never saw - things that were done poorly at the time the house was built over a decade ago. Roof Iowa is the best! I just had my roof and gutters replaced. After pulling off the old shingles the guys saw that I needed many boards and decking boards replaced, they had to practically rebuild the roof over my front porch which entailed Jon having to run to get lumber 3 times. They worked so hard - from 7:30 AM - 9:30 PM. They finished the roof in one day! Clean up was amazing as well. My new gutters went on a few days later (because of rain) and they are awesome!
