First of all I would like to thank for all teachers that work hard for this great school!! I have 2 boys (3yrs and 5yrs) in this school now and both of my kids just loves it so much! My oldest son was used to be in the different location of this school which he wasn't as much happy as he is now and he looks much happier after we transferred him into the current Hawthorn Walteria location. I personally want to thank Ms. Natasha and Ms. DeJahnae ~ thank you for understanding and being patient with my oldest son even when he was having a focus issue. Mr. Hunter~my son loves your STEAM program. This program offers a lot of fun activities or group work for kids to have a great experience in science, biology, engineering, and mathematics. My oldest son always talked about your class and he even drew the picture of how the weather system works or how plant is useful for photosynthesis to his parents at home. Your STEAM program is an excellent program and I highly recommend for other parents if your kids haven't been in his program. He is very passionate about teaching and cares about the progress of how your kids are performing. I also love the fact that this school offers the app to communicate with parents and post pictures of your kids that how they are spending their enjoyable time at school. It's always good to see your kids in the picture. Anyway, if you are looking for a place for your child, I do recommend Leap and Bound, Walteria! You won't be disappointed. Since my oldest son is graduating in this summer, he will miss you guys and your school a lot.

My son has been going to this school for 2 years. He loves his lessons and teachers. We see a big difference in all the stories he tells us with his interactions with other kids and the teachers. We want to especially thank Miss Mary and Miss Mitra who my son has grown to love and talk about after school. Their kindness and patience in teaching my son to potty and play nice has shown in how he handles himself at home. At times we find him singing school songs that he learned that day or reciting the alphabet numbers and colors. We are very impressed with how much he is learning and progressing. The best part is in the morning he wants to go to school so we feel good that he is happy, having fun and learning at the sametime. I recommend this school because of the teachers we have had the pleasure of working with who make this school worth my son attending.

First off I'd like to say yay me for being the 1st person to right a review on this Leap and Bound location. Okay okay, straight to the point. I decided to move my son from the P.V. Location to this one for numerous reasons. I really won't get into that but let's point out the Pro's and Con's of this Hawthorne location. Pro's: Clean Comfortable environment with AC (even though we don't need it with the lovely beach breeze) Academically challenged Well organized Affordable Great hours for working parents Fun Personal Chef (Jose) who makes healthy warm lunches Teachers who are wonderful, smart, caring, patient (yes every single one of them). Con's: I wish they had a Kindergarten program at this location :( I want to personally thank Ms. Kendra (director)~ you are on top of it all and so involved with the students and parents. Ms. Larissa (assistant)~ you are very attentive to my son and I at all times. Ms. Dinah (my son's TK teacher)~ you have no idea how much my son and I appreciate your teaching skills. My son can read, way advanced in his math (multiplications...cmon at 5 years old?!) Really!!! Amazing! And thank you for understanding him and being patient with him. We will miss you guys dearly when my son leaves for Kindergarten in August. *********** If you are looking for a place for your child, come to Leap and Bound, you won't be disappointed.

I was very disappointed with our short enrollment at this location. Once I got nickel and dimed by what seemed like a selective drop off policy, it soured me on keeping my little one here. I can understand the importance of an early drop off and late pick up policy, but being charged $15 for being 1 and 2 minutes early of our 8:30 drop off is beyond ridiculous?! 8:28 and 8:29 smh. Mind you, the drop off process includes a face scan to enter, washing of hands, making your way to the class area, putting food items into your kids cubby then coming to the front for a temperature scan before you leave well past 8:30. When I asked after being penalized I was told there's no leeway as in a +/-1 min tolerance and the indifferent "check the handbook". From then on it's drop off anxiety to be there waiting for 8:30. Meanwhile I'm standing in the lobby foolishly waiting while other parents stroll in early and you see the 8:25 type early drop offs throughout the sign in book. We held out because our child really looked forward to class even on her off days, but the advent of COVID19 made our decision easier. We signed up for 3 half days and lasted 2 months. For prospective parents, dont pay the janky supply fee outright. We paid the $250 outright thinking we'd be here long term. They wouldn't prorate it citing the handbook/contract(couldn't find it‍) unsympatheticlly. We now have a few expensive pieces of recycled paper with macaroni now.

JoJo and his favorite Teacher Ms. Dinah!

Over the past 2 and half years, we have seen significant growth in her emotional and mental well being. We do not have any close family near by so initially she had a hard time warming up to the teachers/support she did not see on a normal basis. The teachers, directors and the Montessori approach made it easier for her to become the little confident person she is today in which I thank them for their care and support. Additional Notes: The school itself is located on PCH so it is a busy during rush hour. There are times that getting in and out of the school can be troublesome. However, the school itself feels secure and I didn't worry too much about her safety as there are a lot of gates. Since we have been there for a while, we have seen a few changes in staff and was questionable at times. However, the current director does her best to manage the changes and notifies the parents as soon as possible. The director and teachers are very caring and do their best to accommodate the changes as well. The school uses an app for communication about your child and it is very convenient as they update throughout the day such as meals and if they took a nap, etc. It made me feel less anxious. I do feel that they are aligning well with the academics while fully embracing the Montessori guidance. My daughter does well with independent play and loves to learn. She shows an interest in many subjects. Thank you PCMA for the good memories and we will miss you guys!

Both teachers, Ms. Angie and Ms. Marizol, are truly wonderful with our son. They are encouraging, engaging, patient, and fun. We were told that it can take some children 1-3 months to stop crying after drop-off, but our son stopped crying after just the first week, which speaks volumes about the kindness and care they show him. What impressed us even more is how quickly we began to see growth. After just his first week, our son learned to sneeze into his arm, and we've noticed him forming his sentences more and more each day. The school provides weekly curriculum updates, which we love, and they also focus on a monthly book, reinforcing learning in a thoughtful, intentional way. It truly reflects an authentic Montessori learning style. The campus itself is adorable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for children. The activities offered are precious and intentional, from the Thanksgiving kiddie potluck to Spirit Week and the Christmas recital. Another huge plus is that the school offers lunch and snacks for an additional $100 per month, which is very reasonable and takes a lot of daily stress off parents. The only con I would note is the number of days off throughout the year while still requiring full monthly tuition. This can be challenging, as it requires parents to take multiple days--and even weeks--off work. That said, it is the only downside we've experienced. We initially gave this school 5 stars, and while we still love and appreciate the teachers, it's important to note that a rating reflects the entire experience--including management. Since we don't deal with administration daily, it hasn't impacted us as much, but our confidence in upper management isn't what it once was. It's still a good option overall, especially because of the teachers--but don't expect the same level of excellence across the board.

She had been with Ms. Patty and her team at BBIC since roughly 5/6 months old. The care she received here truly felt like an extension of how her father and I care for her at home. As a first time mom, I was so nervous to leave my tiny baby with someone outside of the home but after our first meeting with Ms. Patty, my husband and I knew we had found the perfect match. Baby Bubbles specifically offers infant care, so only a small group of babies/children will be enrolled at any given time. The ratio of caregiver to child is often 1:1, with each child receiving lots of love & care tailored to their specific needs. Our daughter had to go through the helmet process (IYKYK!) and everyone at BBIC was more than willing to work with us through the process. Our daughter definitely developed some really special bonds while here and was quite attached to everyone who cares for her at BBIC. She arrived every morning excited to be greeted at the front door, and couldn't wait to jump in with her playmates. She even cried at times when I would arrive to pick her up at the end of the day! By the time she "graduated" at two years old, she had learned all the basic sign language, could sing her ABCs and could even count to 10 in both English, and Spanish! She actually still says "mas" when she wants more lol Her caregivers, and the little friends she made here, were really the only thing she'd known outside of her dad and I so we were truly sad to leave - I cried after we picked her up on the last day! This really is such a special place and you definitely get the sense that you're part of a little family.

Choosing South Bay Montessori was one of the best decisions we made as parents, and we feel incredibly grateful for the loving, clean and nurturing environment created by the teachers, staff, and director ( Ms. Evien ). From day one, we knew she was in exceptional hands. All the teachers ( special thanks to Ms. Luna, Ms. Heidy, and Ms. Angie ) at South Bay Montessori are truly priceless. Their love, dedication, and individualized attention helped our daughter grow not only academically but also emotionally. She gained knowledge, confidence, and independence while being surrounded by warmth and genuine care every day. As working parents, there was nothing more reassuring than knowing she was safe, happy, and well cared for every day. That peace of mind meant the world to us. The school is wonderfully organized and guided by a thoughtful educational approach that balances strong academics with kindness and support. The teachers, staff, and director go above and beyond to create a community that truly feels like an extension of family. Though relatively short notice, we had about 3 months to look at our options. As most parents do, we have asked around for recommendations from our friends and my own independent research. Unfortunately, all of those locations were either a capacity or were not accepting children until the following year. We were almost about to give up and just hire a temporary nanny to care for our daughter during work hours when we stumbled upon Little Stars Learn & Play Center. Curious, I called the number listed on yelp/google and the administrator, Ms. Asma, answered. We told her about our situation and that we were looking for a daycare to watch our then 22 month old daughter. She recommended we schedule a tour for just my wife and I to get a feel of the facilities and teachers. The building is very inconspicuous which you kind of hope for obvious reasons, the exterior clean and presentable. Upon entering inside, we were greeted by Ms Asma and introduced us to the facility. We immediately had a positive gut feeling and decided to schedule a day to drop our daughter off for a few hours to get her acclimated. There are two main rooms, one for toddlers (younger kids) and another for older kids (pre-school). We did this for about a week and decided to extend the stay out a few more hours 3 days a week. Ms Asma, Ms Tina and Ms Angel were awesome from the start, they were more than willing to work with our daughter who is very advanced for her age but has a lot of anxiety, particularly struggling with separation anxiety. They were patient with her and helped her transition smoothly to the day to day. Though she still has some anxiety during drop off, our daughter has fun all day and pick-up is night and day, almost no more tears! She eats better at school, plays nicely her friends (classmates) and comes home every day with a new word or phrase. We are eternally grateful for the teachers and staff at Little Stars and our own anxiety has also improved. Finding daycares is very stressful for both parents and kids, and it is a relief we found an awesome one!
