We've had a wonderful experience with the Leapstart after-school program over the past year. The pickup process is seamless and stress-free, and we truly appreciated the added courtesy of having our daughter dropped off at her on-campus art class--it saved us a great deal of time. The program offers a thoughtfully structured daily schedule with a nice balance of activities, along with home-cooked meals and snacks. Our daughter especially enjoyed the Bollywood dance classes and benefited from learning both Hindi and Spanish as part of the extracurricular offerings. To start with, this is the third consecutive year my daughter Manaswini was going to Leapstart. this is my third review as well. year after year I feel more and more closer to Leapstart staff and the administration. they treat everyone like a family and take utmost care. it's not just a afterschool care to manage kids, it's like an extended school where they teach the kids with their own curriculum to help groom the kids in all aspect. besides t helping with the school activitie, they also involve the kids with other learning activities ranging from education, language, fine arts, chess, life skills. what we want to teach at home like good manners and behavior and social responsibilities, they cover quite nicely. they communicate every week what topics they will be covering and give heads up. my daughter likes a lot and kudos for all the teachers and support staff. When we transitioned our daughter from Vidyarambh to a public school, our biggest worry was about food and personal care. Leapstart has been amazing in taking care of our daughter's needs, she is always happy to go there. Many days when public schools are closed, they keep their center open from 8.30 am until full day. This is a big benefit when both parents are working. Myra also is learning new skills, and skills are varied ranging from dance, and STEM. They also have yearly two events where kids get to perform too. Highly recommend this center and kudos to Ms Indu and other teachers in taking superb care of all kids.. Teachers and especially owner Ms Chitra is extremely responsive on chat. We were worried about pickup from school by someone new to our daughter and that aspect was taken care so well. Kid enjoyed the various camps. Art camp was her favorite. Staff are so kind and caring. The food is fresh and kid enjoyed it. The one thing that could be better is the Pickup experience after the end-of-camp-performance. All the parents leaving together after the show and kids running around was quite chaotic given the small space. Other than that, we had a great experience. read more

We've tried several different after-school programs in the Cupertino area over the years, and Leapstart After School has been by far the best experience for our child. The food is excellent--fresh, hot homemade meals and snacks every day that our kid actually enjoys eating. The activities are so diverse and engaging, from different languages lesson, yoga, arts, and more, keeping things fun and varied. My 7 year old has been going to Leastart since past several months and absolutely loves it there. The food provided is healthy and tasty. The teachers are kind and friendly. The homework help reduces our burden and the worksheets they give helps my son get that extra practice. My son has been learning many new things like bollywood dance and Yoga. The center is open during school breaks like Spring break and other breaks including staff learning day that is a life saver for working parents. LeapStart has very good management, reachable and supportive. The kids go there after school. The pickup is flawless. They get snacks and late lunch as well. The kids do spend time doing creative work including languages such as Hindi. They also have robotics and math and English sessions to keep kids excited. It is an overall very good place for kids afterschool day care. They also do cultural events a couple of time every year which are super hit and lot of fun, mostly kids participation , dance etc. The cost is very reasonable too I would highly recommend. My 9 y.o. has been going to this afterschool for the last 1 year or so and we have had a good experience here with the staff. Here is a summary: 1. School Pick up : They pick her up from school on time and log it in an app, which notifies me of the event, providing re-assurance. 2. After school meal: They publish their meal plan for a month in advance and my daughter looks forward to eating some of their meals! 3. Freedom to mingle with kids: I understand kids are grouped by age group and given freedom to mingle and play and my daughter has made some good friends in the after school. 4. Friendly staff: The staff are known to adequately supervise the kids and are very responsive on the app to messages that I send. I am looking forward to my daughter continuing to attend the afterschool throughout her elementary schooling. read more

Our son had an incredible time at the Outdoor Exploration and Nature Summer Camp at LeapStart! Already a fan of their after-school program, we were excited to try their summer camp -- and it did not disappoint. He learned about habitats like the rainforest and arctic, explored farmers markets, nurseries, parks, and water parks, and did hands-on activities like planting seeds, painting birdhouses, and making tie-dye t-shirts. We are very pleased with Leapstart. One of the best part is the freshly cooked afternoon lunch they provide. Kids don't eat well during the school lunch and so having some food right after reaching Leapstart really helps them from being very hungry by the end of the day. Another thing thats great about Leapstart is its open for the full day during the days where school is off like Spring break, Thanksgiving and even for minimum days there is early pickup. The kids really enjoy the dance classes, language classes such as Hindi, Spanish and homework and sheets they get to do. Hassle free pickup from school is really an added benefit. read more

My 6 year old daughter has been going to leap start after school for a few months now and we are continuing her for the next school year. Things I really like about leapstart : * Ms Chitra is very responsive. She communicates very clearly and responds to your texts/calls/messages on Brightwheel as quickly as possible * Their entire care team is super professional and kind! * Their transport service is predictable and good. The cars are clean, same drivers and prompt check in notifications give me the peace of mind. * They have hot lunch that is served when the kids arrive. The menu varies between roti, dhal, rajma to pastas and noodles. I wouldn't say its the healthiest but is geared towards kids eating and not staying hungry which I greatly appreciate. * Their payments, communication is all streamlined via the Brightwheels app which is very convenient Review from my 6 year old :) * Classrooms are big and beautiful * Teachers are nice and kind * Food is good I am not sure about the effectiveness of the extra curricular classes they have but the kids have a fun time in a safe and caring environment and form good friends and habits. My 5 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son - both go to De Anza location. They both love it there. They don't want to come home early from Leapstart. This just makes us happy to see our kids happy and content. Ms. Chitra has built a team of all loving and caring teachers. I have experienced that many teachers (like Ms. Indu, Ms. Jyotsna) go above and beyond to care for the kids. The teachers keep us well-informed about any incidents/issues if they occur and encourage open talks with parents to resolve them. The kids finish their homework and get to play their favorite games. My kids like the food they serve - dal, rice, curry, pasta, noodles, fruits, etc. The pick-up service staff - Ms. Lily and Mr. Angel are punctual, reliable and caring. We had enrolled our daughter in Leapstart's summer camp for dance this year. She enjoyed going to the camp and had super fun performing at the end of the camp, thanks to Ms. Rochita and her team. My daughter loves the regular dance class as well (the one that occurs once a week as part of after-care program). Ms. Rochita puts great efforts on all the kids for their super dance performances for any event. Both my kids are learning Hindi, Spanish and Yoga.
