The grounds were just really pretty and well kept. I had to interact with a several of the staff and they were all very nice and I loved how they treat all the students with a lot of respect and patience. Since I was rushing I left my car lights on and my car battery died. When I came back to my car and noticed that my car wouldn't turn on I walked to the security gate and told them about my dilemma. Right away they send someone to help me and give my car a boost. They were so nice and made sure my car was fine before they left. Although we haven't been able to access the inside of the location much at all since the pandemic started (only to ensure the most sanitary conditions for all the kids at the center), we know the center itself is super clean and well taken care of inside. The small class size allows for very individualized attention. He is (like many of the students) an uneven learner. He reads and does math way above grade level, but needs help with writing and expressive language (but some children have more typical learning difficulties). Each family is assigned a social worker to meet with on a regular basis, and the social workers also go into the classrooms to work on social skills through "friendship" and "games" groups. There is a "black & white" notebook that goes back and forth every day, providing a means of valuable communication between the teachers and parents. He has met some great friends here, and there is a warm parent community. We can speak freely with each other about our children's "issues" - we're all in this together!
