Future Generation is the cream of the crop when it comes to childcare. They do everything in their power to make sure children are healthy, happy, and safe. Future Generation has been the leading daycare in the area throughout the pandemic by ensuring the strictest guidelines are followed so that our kids are kept safe. As a first-time parent, this has been such a challenging time, but I know that my daughter is not just safe when she's at school, she is also supported and loved by an incredible staff. Future Generation hosts so many fun events for children each week, as well as twice a week local business lunches that you can opt-in to. FG also supplies wipes and diapers which is AMAZING and two less things to think about when you're packing your child's bag for school. I have only had incredible encounters with each staff member and I know that they are continuously improving and training so that they can keep up with state curriculum and requirements to best serve the young learners at the childcare center. I noticed a lot of reviews mention how the space is cramped for children, but we have not witnessed any problem with this - in fact, the space is perfectly suited to then keep such a small teacher-kid ratio and a better view on kids.

During the tour, I witnessed a teacher raising their voice at a 2-year-old, which immediately left me questioning the environment and the level of training provided to the staff. I know some teachers can give tough love I gave it the benefit of doubt. My biggest concern came after my 3-year-old attended. I was informed by a staff member that he had made a sexual gesture or comment. As his parent, I know the behavior they were referring to was simply him picking his nose and putting his finger in his mouth--a gross but very typical behavior for a 3-year-old the other teacher even came out as I was extremely concerned to say it was innocent. The teacher accusing my son attacked me none the less at pick up not even a hello. The situation was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner, and I was shocked that such a serious accusation was made instead of approaching it with appropriate understanding of normal toddler development.What was equally disappointing was the lack of communication afterward. After this incident was reported to management, neither the director nor anyone from administration reached out to check on my child, discuss the situation, or address my concerns. That level of follow-up and accountability was completely absent. In my opinion, the facility also appeared unclean, and the overall professionalism of the staff did not inspire confidence. After this experience, I chose not to send my son back and enrolled him elsewhere. The difference in professionalism, communication, and care has been night and day. I also encourage parents to review the daycare's inspection history and any licensing violations through the New Jersey child care licensing records before making a decision. It's important to do your research and make an informed choice about where you entrust your child. Every child deserves to be cared for by patient, well-trained professionals in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

My daughter went to TLE in Waldwick for a little over 3 years (from 15 months old until 4 years…read moreold). It was a rollercoaster of an experience for us so I wanted to share a very honest review and include both pros and cons for those of you looking for a daycare for your littles: PROS - Hours: Households with working parents will find the long hours at TLE extremely helpful - Food: Lunch is included with tuition and the quality/options are decent - Location: Very conveniently located in the heart of Waldwick with a large parking lot; interior space and playground are very roomy and well equipped - Cost: Very fairly priced compared to other daycares in the area - Ms Val (Toddlers) and Ms Claudia (Preppers): These 2 teachers happen to be exceptional there, and their care for and attention to the children is unmatched CONS - Staff: With the exception of Ms Val and Ms Claudia, the rest of the staff we encountered seemed unseasoned and unmotivated; pre-school in particular was a revolving door of teachers, one lazier than the next (MANY times my daughter came home saying she watched Curious George or other cartoons during the day for long periods of time) - Curriculum: As my daughter advanced there, it became increasingly clear that TLE is a daycare first and a learning center second; workbooks were repetitive and unstimulating, and again, screen time was waaaaaay overused (the TLE brand had a big marketing push over the last year, with a constant barrage of emails flooding my inbox to purchase gear or plushies for my child, and a branded cartoon called "Bubbles and Friends" quickly became a teacher substitute in the classrooms vs an occasional educational aid) - Communication: Many times, parents were notified at the last possible minute of things that were due to the daycare, what Learning Bag (ie, Show and Tell) items for the week were, etc; the app that they use was very rarely updated with important notifications in a timely manner, and sometimes entire days would go by without any photos posted - Nepotism: The 4 main leads/directors at this location are sisters, so if you ever need to escalate a situation, it's useless unless you dig and find out the names of folks at corporate (which I had to do a few times--the corporate people I spoke to though were always helpful once you could connect with them); additionally, I never once met/saw the owner, LynnAnn, in our 3 years there, which I found very odd So, all in all, decent daycare, but once your child requires more than a babysitter, I would not recommend TLE.

So I'm sure they will now get some positive reviews from their friends & to be honest it doesn't faze me .. as long as PARENTS know the TRUTH on where they are sending their child*** I have been unsure of writing this review for well over a year. Years ago this school was great (I sent both of my children there) But this year I had to pull my youngest child out of that school. I had a problem there with a teacher who was on drugs (and STILL works there) .. she watched my children at our shore home (which is on the bay/water) while we were out she got HIGH on either heroin or prescription drugs (I STILL have videos and photos to prove this if this school DARES to argue).. we came home early thank GOD and my daughter who had access to our filled hot tub on our deck and the open bay ... my daughter could had fell in and died if we didn't get home when we did.. I noticed with this "teacher" when she feel off the chair holding my child I told her to go lay down (I didn't realize yet) then she put my daughter in the tub with her clothes ON with the water RUNNING... I stopped it quickly as I was getting her out of the tub she went to my little one who had a donut. She took the donut from her & began to smear it on her face. My little one began screaming & I ran to her. I asked her what did she take she began to slur her words and said "I just did a teaspoon" (so I'm believe it was heroin .. I even looked up videos on how people act and it was EXACT). then said her ex-boyfriend stopped by (but we checked our outside and inside cameras and no one showed up) then she quickly she passed out.. (again thank god we got home or my kids would be alone and her passed out) My oldest saw it all and scared the hell out of her. The girl told me the next day she was sorry that she had 8 shots of tequila (I don't even have tequila in the house & she did not smell of any alcohol) ANYWAY the school was aware of this and did NOTHING. Now ACADEMICALLY ... I just recently had my daughters new school teacher conference & she has made SUCH a progress in just 3 short months .. I was worried she might have had a learning disability it wasn't that at all it was because that school was a place to just play NOT LEARN. She did not learn ONE thing the last year she was there. The books they sent home of the children's work was never complete.. because they never did work with them. And the teachers are always swapping or getting pulled there & the classrooms have ZERO constancy or classroom management which makes the children out of control. Parents this place is a disaster .. so sad because they use to be so wonderful... & pulling my daughter was the BEST decision I could have made for her... please watch your children for their safety & learning... and most importantly NEVER let them watch ur children in your home! ***RESPONDING TO COMMENT BELOW*** ... this is beyond untrue ... when this incident happened the front desk WAS notified (the girl at the desk even told me how that teacher got similar at their past holiday party) .. they promised me they would keep her away from my daughter ... so we stayed stayed in the school because my daughter was comfortable & we've been going there for 7 years between both my kids ... there were 3 times I found her in the room with her and flipped out.. then one day my daughter was sitting in the front by the sick room when I picked her up bc this PERSON took her class outside to play (when it wasn't this teachers time to be in the playground) so my daughter was removed from playing with her friends & had to sit alone at the front desk. This teacher was then promoted to more responsibility in the school and I said I was not comfortable because she would see my daughter everyday and when I told Lynnann about it many months after she had NO IDEA of what happened ...... then Lynnann didn't return my calls or text messages but instead she pushed the responsibility of handling it to the girls in the front! Again, best decision because my daughter is now SAFE without me worrying and actually LEARNING

Lorrelie, Mr. J, Miss Jolina and the entire staff are just absolutely wonderful. They love and care about every child in their school and are constantly providing new fun ways to learn and engage. I am blown away when my toddlers come home and know not just their colors but their colors in English and spanish, or when they learn all about the food pyramid and healthy nutrition, or how to paint laying down like Michelangelo, or all of the fun things they learn through their "science experiments".... I could obviously go on and on. This school focuses on letting kids be kids and loving them for who they are. If you care about your child having a well rounded PreK experience that is family oriented, communicative, caring, trustworthy and truly cares about community this is hands down your best option in Lyndhurst...we tried other schools and looked at other options and I feel so blessed that this is where we ended up. I will never be able to thank Ms. Lore and Mr. J enough for what they have done for my kids. My son was developmentally behind when starting here two years ago and this staff has been so inclusive, understanding and his biggest cheerleaders in all the progress he has made. Jill, Gabby, all the teachers and staff are amazing people running the facility. So friendly and flexible, understanding the needs of the kids and the parents. The location is excellent for NYC commuters, as the 166X bus stop is couple minutes walk away. They are also very generous allowing parents to park their cars in the parking lot for the whole day. The TLE app is a convenient way of staying up to date with daily activities, updates, billing and communication from teacher. Photos of kids daily activities are posted every on the app. TLE has great curriculum to teach kids letters, numbers, colors, shapes, vocabulary. Our daughter was so much ahead and academically prepared for K, thanks to TLE. For different age groups they also have special events like field trips for Pre K and K students, water activities during summer. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for daycare facility.

The only reason we stopped going is because my travel schedule picked up at work so a full time nanny made more sense. I credit TLE for helping my son develop and learn as quickly as he did. During our initial tour, we were told they taught the kids sign language. I was skeptical, but was proven wrong when at 6 months he was signing "more" and "eat" to communicate his needs. I will also be forever grateful for Miss Pam, the teacher in the infant room that helped me get the hang of being a first time working mom. I remember seeing my son roll for the first time and was so excited about it. When I asked Miss Pam how long he'd been doing it, she told me "the first time he does it is when you see it." They do a great job of arranging fun events for the kids; coming up with all sorts of themes and art projects to keep them engaged. They even have an annual petting zoo and water games in the summer. My son loved it there and still remembers all his teachers that took great care of him and his friends that he grew up with. We definitely miss it there and I highly recommend TLE to anyone that is considering them for childcare. The curriculum and environment are top notch and the teachers and the administrative staff truly care not just about the children but for the parents as well.

I originally was going to TLE in Waldwick (which is wonderful by the way) but decided to transfer to Ramsey since it was closer to my new home. This daycare was much older looking than the one in Waldwick but I assumed it was clean and my son was being cared for which is all that really mattered to me. Well from day 1 my son came home filthy, white socks were BLACK, food stuck to his clothes, hair and face everyday. I let it go for a week because I didn't want to seem "annoying" which I had every right to be but I figured I'd let it slide temporarily. Until week 2 when he came home with full blown pink eye! Green junk flowing out of his eyes when I picked him up and no one mentioned a thing to me! When I mentioned it, no one had noticed anything wrong with him apparently. My son has had pink eye before but never to this extreme, to the point that his eyes were almost sealed shut and it lasted over 2 weeks. I asked the teacher why I was not called and she said she did tell Tara, one of the directors but apparently she FORGOT to call me. So all day long apparently no one realized that a 10 month old with visible pink eye was still in the class and no parent had yet to pick him up? Absolutely unacceptable. I received no apology or acknowledgement from Tara for neglecting to call me. I waited about another week to see if there was any improvement of cleanliness but every single day my son came home looking like he was rolling around in dirt. I pulled him out within 3 weeks of attending this daycare. I complained to Neelam, the other director - she was very understanding and apologized for the negligence. After complaining, I was refunded one week of tuition. Truthfully, I should've fought for the entire month of reimbursement but I just wanted to cut ties immediately. Flash forward about 6 weeks, I finally get a reimbursement check after following up 3 times. I show up at the daycare to pick of the check that was handed to me by Tara, yet again no acknowledgement or apology for my horrible experience. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!! If you love and care for your children's well-being, please please please do your research before committing to this daycare. It was by no means cheap but you could never expect to find this in a Ramsey, NJ daycare.
