I'm really happy with my decision to attend LearningFuze. I'm based in Seattle and like many others, I chose LearningFuze because it had consistently the best ratings across all boot camps. I was in the program from January to April 2020, so everyone was remote and I did not feel left out for being in a different state at all. Cody and Tim Davis were my main instructors and they were fantastic! Really kind and helpful, but at the same time, they provided realistic expectations as to what it's like to be a new developer. I thought the curriculum was well-curated and pretty easy to follow. After graduating, TJ and Cass were extremely supportive and always available, which was helpful for me in securing a job after the program. I read a review that mentioned racism towards Asian females - I just want to mention that in my personal experience, I did not feel any sort of racism towards me (and I am an Asian female). If you are a female, I highly encourage you to apply for a Women in Tech scholarship (if there is one available) because that can really bring down your tuition! One thing to keep in mind is that attending LearningFuze or (any other boot camp) does not guarantee that you will get a job after completion. I have seen many students graduate from the program and then lose motivation and stop coding permanently. The staff at LearningFuze can only do so much to help you and support you with your job search - you have to have the determination to continue practicing and be able to go through the interview process on your own. Making the decision to attend LearningFuze was honestly one of the best decisions I've made in my life. After researching 10+ bootcamps and much deliberation, I decided to apply for LearningFuze. After passing the technical assessment, I was accepted into the program. Please keep in mind: you will only get back what you put into the program. You'll be pushed and stretched beyond your limits. Get used to being uncomfortable and feeling lost, because that's the only constant you'll have during the 14 weeks of this program. It's not going to be easy, and you may doubt yourself throughout the whole program, but trust the process. The instructors have your best interests at heart and really want you to succeed. Make sure to ask as many questions as possible, study your flash cards, and really take the time to understand your JavaScript fundamentals. LearningFuze also has a great alumni and employer network, and they really go out of their way to help you prepare to find employment after graduating. TL;DR - You only get as much as you put into the program. They have great instructors and career services. Also, make sure to do some self studying of HTML/CSS/JavaScript prior to the program, so it's easier to pick up the concepts. read more

I would strongly recommend LearningFuze to anyone who is interested in attending a coding bootcamp. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science so I will be speaking to my experience, but I want to preface by saying you do not need a CS degree to attend learningfuze. In fact most of the best coders in my cohort did not have a CS degree. As a recent college graduate with a CS degree, I was feeling a little lost. Sure I had the theoretical knowledge, but I was lacking the experience needed to be a software engineer. I had no idea how to approach the job search, and I did not know what interviewing would entail. So I decided a coding bootcamp would be a good choice for me to get the experience I needed and help job searching. The reason I picked LearningFuze, was not only did they have the best reviews online, but they have a solid plan in helping you get a job after you graduate. I am so glad I made the choice that I did. The instructors really care about their students and are clearly passionate about what they are teaching. I learned so much more than I could have imagined. Not only did I learn a lot about coding, I learned a lot about the interviewing process and got lots of help on my resume. Having a CS degree coming into the program did help, but this program is a lot of work. You have to be dedicated to put the time in during the 3 months and after you graduate until you find a job. As a Recruiter I was a bit hesitant about bootcamps but when I saw my friend's resume, LinkedIn profile, and heard about how much prep they gave him for his job search I had to see for myself so I went for an Info Session. I had been looking at bootcamps for well over a year, with no clear indication as to what program would best suit my style of learning. More importantly, it wasn't clear which program was going to give me the best opportunity to find employment afterwards. When I attended an info session regarding LearningFuze, I had an inclination that this school was the right opportunity for me. I feel as though my exposure to the school was unique in that I participated in the part-time program prior to committing to the full immersion program. It gave me the perspective of learning at a different pace, more self study as opposed to in class drinking-from-the-fire-hydrant . If you are looking for a strong culture that supports a collaborative experience, this is certainly a school worthy of your consideration. Furthermore, the instruction and variety of supportive staff members was paramount in finding solutions when I felt stuck. The curriculum feels current and within the demands of the current industry in the Orange County area. Alongside that, they are constantly working with the tech community on projects, meetups and other networking related opportunities. This is my updated review post-graduation from LearningFuze and I will say with full confidence that LFZ is always my constantly exceeding expectations. You can learn to program wherever/however you want. But LearningFuze will always stand out being the most transparent and be totally real with you. LearningFuze doesn't just teach the programming languages. The most valuable experiences I had were teamwork and learning how to learn to program (think like a programmer/problem solver). My advice for prospective students is: *Be 100% committed, you will have to make sacrifices. Especially with Netflix, friends/family/significant others. Just communicate well with who you need to keep in touch with. *Communication is KEY! If you have questions, don't stay quiet! Just ask if you don't understand or else you will fall behind. *Attitude. We are all here to learn, don't ruin it for others by being a jerk. *DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS! Choosing to attend LearningFuze was hands down one of the best decisions that I've made in my life. I graduated from the program in May 2019. I'd done a ton of research on accelerated web development programs beforehand, but what really sold me on LearningFuze in particular was the info session. The instructors were upfront and honest about how strenuous the program would be, and they made it clear that attending was no guarantee that you'd be successful in the field. After having gone through the full-immersion program, I now understand why they were so adamant about making sure that potential students really get what they're about to jump into. The program is hard. The hours alone will break you down. The work itself will break you down some more. You'll be juggling several things at once, and eventually you'll run into something that you just can't wrap your head around while facing down several deadlines and staring at your computer and wondering if you have it in you to claw yourself into some meager semblance of understanding. But even knowing just how utterly exhausting it is, I would do it all again in a heartbeat. The environment is incredibly supportive. *Every single person* in that building wants nothing more than to see you succeed, and it shows. The instructors bend over backwards to help their students, even after graduation, and are genuinely interested in helping you understand whatever you're learning regardless of whether they're teaching it or not. The program itself is top-notch, too. From day one you'll be working with git and github, and a lot of the program is structured around coding in groups, including two 48 hour hackathons. Anyone can learn to code on their own, but having actual experience working with other developers and reporting to senior level developers is priceless. I can't tell you how much easier their knowledge and expertise has made it to wade through the huge amount of info out there. Also, if you're a woman, huge shoutout to the culture of support and equality at LearningFuze. I can't tell you how much of a relief it was to be treated like a student instead of a fragile unicorn, and to have a great community of female students and alumni available for questions and support. (This was awhile ago, but I am still infuriated about how I was treated at this business.) TJ Kinion was very demeaning towards me during a info session. He started yelling down at me and threw a tantrum. He did not feel guilty and said I looked stupid. Later they tried to cover it up and tried to convince me it was not sexual harassment?? Also, Bill Cunningham and Cody Miller were the same way. I am a timid looking small Asian woman, and they all ordered me around, yelled and spoke down to me. They also told this lame story about someone who was African American, single mom, with three kids, who took a bus 3 hours away to take a class there. So if you are going to be one of those people who looks like they can't keep up or looks like a poor student, you have to be as good as this person, to look like a novice like me. Also, TJ Kinion was the only person who didn't feel a little guilty. He was very firm in his treatment of me. He said I looked stupid so I deserved this. Bill Cunningham also threatened that he would blacklist me, but he did say I was a "little" cute, so I guess that makes it okay. Even if they have all these positive reviews, they have some hidden racism that other people may not be aware of. I think if you look like a little, poor, Asian woman, with a stupid face you will be out of luck. They are going to yell at you and treat you like a slave, and not apologize. I recently graduated from LearningFuze's full immersion program (June 2019) and absolutely, 100% recommend making LearningFuze the place where you begin your journey into development. I had been working in non-profit for the past 9 years with no prior experience of coding and wanted to be sure that I'd be at a place that would help build a strong foundation. I did a lot of research through many review sites and saw so many alumni of LearningFuze consistently write about how passionate the instructors are and how they foster a positive (yet, challenging) environment for growth. I went to an evening info session to get a feel for the culture and made my decision to sign up when I saw just how much the staff really cares for each individual student. The instruction is fast-paced and challenging because there's a lot of content to go through, but the instructors always put a premium on understanding the content rather than just dumping information. I found it incredibly helpful that every time we received new content during lecture, that there was always a prototype/exercise that we would immediately work on to be sure that we understood what we learned. Plus, we had two, 48-hour hackathons where we would have to complete different projects that simulated a team-environment with an AGILE process and real-time Git/GitHub that really helped put into practice everything we had been learning. During the second half of the program, we dove deeper into server-side topics so that we could complete a 3-week, full stack final project. I can't say it enough, but the emphasis on project-based learning pushed me from just knowledge to practical understanding and execution of the myriad of concepts we learned. I love how LearningFuze fosters an environment for growth with driven and motivated peers and many of us would regularly stay after hours to cement our learning together and instructors would be present to help us. On top of that, the staff are constantly up-to-date to be sure you're getting the most relevant content and tech that will prepare you best for the job search. Short answer: yes, most definitely recommend. Longer answer: Still yes. I can't praise LearningFuze enough for its *people* - the TAs, instructors, directors, and TJ + Cassandra job search support duo. Hands down its the team here that makes the difference (the tangible content and all the other pieces check out too - see further down). They are passionate not just about code, but about *teaching* code; they are passionate not just about equipping students with new skills but about getting professionals into a new career. Its this, and quite simply who the amazing people that they are that kept me going through the difficult stretches when I didn't think I could make the push. I worked full time while attending classes part time for a full year, plus the job search afterward. There were many many *many* days when I was nearly too tired to come to class or do the homework, except for that the people of LearningFuze became the highlight of my day and quite literally pulled me through the tough slog. I can unequivocally say that without them I would not have made it into my now, very loved, position. There's really two parts to any boot camp - 1. is the bootcamp itself, the classes and content. 2. is the search after. Not everywhere provides both parts, and not everywhere provides quality on whatever they do have. From day one however I was very impressed with both the professionalism and strong community that Learning Fuze brought to their camp, and loved the post-grad job search support. Regarding part 1: The team puts in the effort to create quality content, continually updating and improving materials. They make themselves easily available and do spend the extra time outside of class answering questions. They have a great system where each class has both an instructor and a TA so that if a student is stuck on a concept but the rest of the class is ready to move forward, the student can get they help they need and not get left behind, but the rest of the class isn't slowed down. As for the hard slog of the job search - you don't just 'graduate' and then are left hanging, on your own to figure out how to break into the industry - TJ and Cassandra bust their butts reviewing resumes, giving guidance on creating portfolios, helping navigate the search and the many different resources, tactics, approaches out there, tirelessly networking and creating opportunities to get in front of mentors and employers, holding weekly group check-ins to help keep the momentum up during the search so that you get traction rather than spin your wheels an burn out. Essentially, the tangible pieces are there. But what brings them over the top are the people. Its the small things, HOW they teach, HOW they encourage - real connections, real passion, real care, real people - in all of this that really makes LFZ stand out. Probably similar to many others out there looking at bootcamps, I was skeptical about the idea of a bootcamp. Do they work? Will this help me land a job as a developer? Before attending LearningFuze, I had been researching different bootcamps in the area. When I attended one of LearningFuze's info sessions, something immediately stood out to me compared to other bootcamps I had been researching previously -- the staff. Everyone at LearningFuze was super welcoming and is there to help you succeed, give you the tools you need to become a great developer, and ultimately, land a job. With that said, they are not there to do the work for you, and you will have to work your butt off to get the results you want. Scheduled class time was from 10 to about 6, but it wasn't unusual for people to stay until midnight working on projects or assignments especially during Final Project Mode. However, if you're willing to do that, then I have full confidence you'll land a gig in no time. The program is great for people who have never experienced coding before, but I definitely recommend going through basics before attending as I think you'll be able to get more out of the program that way, and be able to ask more thoughtful questions about things you don't quite understand. The team also does a great job at preparing you for the job search. I just graduated this past February and was able to land an offer in LA within a few months . They helped me negotiate my salary and land a nice bonus on top =) This program was one of the best experiences and decisions of my life, and I give credit to my cohort mates, and the folks at LFZ for that. read more

LearningFuze completely changed my life. The education I received there was the best experience of my life. All the instructors really nurture the students to be developers by the end of the boot camp. Furthermore, the team in career services dedicate so much for students to find jobs. If there are reviews that say "students don't get jobs" it's because students have to do their part as well and use all the resources given. I received my first job 3 months after the program and now moving onto a new job. Even though they already found me a job the first time, they did not hesitate to help me find me my second job. 100% recommend to anyone looking to become a programmer!!! read more

The five stars are fake. Most students don't get any job after the program. It takes a long time to find a job. Please do your research before entering this program. Ask former students on Slack if they find any job. Current students can't find any job. Some found jobs, but most of them don't. The statistics the owner gives you is fake. They said 96% or 90% will find a job within 6 months. This is fake. They don't study or interview the students afterward. Where did they get this statistics? The teachers are not trained to be teachers. They let you read the documentations. THAT IS NOT TEACHING. If you look at the instructors' credentials, they don't have a college degree. The instructors acted like we're there to beg for a job. They could be very disrespectful and rude. They forgot their job is to find us a job. Someone needs to report this program for lying and deceiving students. read more

I attended multiple info sessions before choosing LearningFuze, and am glad that I did, since I was able to compare them all to what I was experiencing throughout. I now know I made the right choice. Starting off with the facility, it offers a tech-startup type of environment which allows students to have access to the multiple instructors on-site at any given time of the day. There are 2 lecture rooms, 3 study rooms, and an alumni room for graduates to come back to the facility to work on any current projects. The instructors are some of the top in the industry. Starting off with Dan, the lead instructor. He had a unique way of teaching the most important fundamentals of Javascript to make sure we remembered it. I still remember his specific examples, no matter how extreme they were to this day. Andy was another very helpful instructor, showing students what they could become, being a previous graduate in the program. Andy was one of the reasons I joined LearningFuze, from his willingness to help students and ability to relate to any struggles they face throughout the bootcamp. Scott was the lead instructor for the React.JS portion of the program, who broke everything down in to pieces to help beginners learn a new framework from scratch. I chose the frontend route and highly recommend it, with the material that Scott put together. Lastly, TJ makes sure to put everything you learned to use, and prepares you for the job search. He provides all students with the necessary tools, interview prep, and resume building to make sure everyone is able to get interviews and eventually land offers. This was a huge piece of the program that differentiated it from others. At LFZ I was surrounded by like-minded, motivated people who want to learn to code as much as I did. I'm not only learning from the instructors but also from my classmates, seniors, alumni and guest speakers from various tech companies. The curriculum gave us many opportunities to work together as a group. You will be surprised at how different learning is with a group and in-person. We teamed up together, participated in multiple hackathons, and helped solve each others bugs. After getting my portfolio fully approved by the instructors, preparation with TJ's interview tips, and weeks of applying, I was able to land multiple offers in the OC and LA area within 2 months of graduating. Doing a complete career change and participating in a boot camp was one of the hardest decisions for me. I looked at a number of coding bootcamps in the area and chose LearningFuze because of the open and friendly environment. My decision was based on 1) I knew that I would put more time and effort into coding in an environment that I felt comfortable in and 2) After the program I would need my coding school's help to find a job and their mentorship thereafter. LearningFuze was a great fit for both of these reasons. Not only does the school have long hours - 9AM-ish to late - they are also open Monday-Saturday. As expected, I spent most of the daytime soaking up new information and the nights and weekends working on projects. The classrooms are comfortable. They have desks large monitors and couch space. I looked forward to going to LearningFuze and did not mind spending long hours there. LearningFuze has an alumni room where students can work on their portfolios and apply to jobs. After the course I was there everyday. The staff does a great job of prepping you for interviews and connecting you with potential employers. I got my first internship through a LearningFuze connection and am now onto my second job where I will be building out the front end for a fintech startup. I still keep in touch with the LearningFuze staff and alumni network. read more

Coming from a background as an elementary school teacher and no formal coding exposure or experience, I had plenty of apprehensions about learning any kind of web development in such a short period of time. I am in now in week 9 of the 12 week full immersion program. Looking back at the last 8 weeks of the program, I am in awe of what I have been able to learn and create. It has been quite a unique learning experience. Some of the exceptional aspects: 1)Instructors The instructors are what make Learning Fuze so exceptional. As a student who was struggling to understand some of the most foundational concepts in the beginning, I found immense support during class time, on the weekend (whether it be through a Google Hangout or during the open hours on Saturday), and after class time during the week. They are extremely knowledgeable and supportive and have been a vital resource in navigating my way into becoming a web developer. 2)Materials/Information/Access Prior to the program, Learning Fuze provides a comprehensive guide to materials you should reference, read, and/or utilize before beginning the program. Their prep courses are a great introduction to the foundational concepts needed for web development and also give a small glimpse into what the full time program will be like, as well. In retrospect, it is easy for me to see that they have thoughtfully designed this to help students prepare for the full immersion program (particularly those of us who have no previous coding background). Additionally, the curriculum during the program is extremely comprehensive considering the short timeline. Another great resource provided is job search support. Starting from the first week, we have been provided with tips on creating our resume, LinkedIn profiles, interviewing practice, and hearing guest speakers from the industry. This aspect has been extremely beneficial and educational as I pursue this career change. Some of the challenges: 1)Pace When I first began researching bootcamps, I kept reading about the fast pace associated with an accelerated web development program but didn't fully comprehend what that meant until I was a part of it. The pace of the Learning Fuze bootcamp is faster than any educational environment I have experienced. The same day that you learn about a topic (or multiple topics), you are also coding a project to apply those skills. This definitely could feel daunting and overwhelming at times but with the support of the instructors, it was manageable...still challenging, but manageable. 2)Workload/Time While the technical class hours are Monday -Friday from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., the studying time, practice exercises, and projects that need to be completed will easily require your focus and a time commitment of 7 days a week and about 12-14 hours a day (including the 10-6 time on Monday-Friday). Overall, I am extremely pleased with my decision to choose Learning Fuze bootcamp as my school of choice to pursue a career in web development. As challenging as it has been, I have seen my abilities improve more than I could've imagined and I have grown even more passionate about building my coding abilities than before starting the program. I attended LearningFuze starting at the end of April in 2018. It was the most exhausting, but the most rewarding and fulfilling 12 weeks of my life, and has completely transformed the direction of my professional life, and by that factor, everything else as well. I came into LearningFuze with no real coding background, but from a strong understanding of web as a whole(I was previously a Project Manager at a web agency). I'd been super interested in transitioning to coding for a while, and decided to find out more. I went in to attend one of their info sessions and was really impressed by their honesty about what it takes to succeed in the program, and that it's all about how much it matters to you. A lot of places like to try and sell their programs as "No matter what, we will get you a job with lots of money!" But that is just simply not true, and the LearningFuze team is very upfront about the fact that you get out what you put in. I appreciated that to no end. I was also a big fan of the environment. The students were all really friendly when I stopped to ask them how they liked the program, the instructors were happy to answer any questions I had, and it was pretty clear a lot of people there shared a lot of my more geeky interests, so that made me feel really comfortable. I was really impressed and decided to pursue the 12 week full stack bootcamp option. Even though for most of the 12 weeks you feel like you are drowning in information, the entire staff is focused on helping you juggle that and making sure you are able to process through everything that you are learning, be it through additional tutoring sessions, or answering questions that you know they have been asked a million times, without ever making you feel bad about asking them for help. Despite a lot of previous not so great experiences in tech as a female, I was very happily surprised that the atmosphere was one where I felt very comfortable. I didn't feel like I was being treated with less respect, and I didn't feel like anyone thought I was less capable because I was female. The instructors cared about each student's success, not about gender or race, which was a very refreshing change. It allowed me to focus on learning, instead of having to watch every little thing I did so people wouldn't judge me for being female. After graduation, they were incredibly helpful with career placement. They helped me with building out a solid portfolio and gave great advice about resume adjustments, how to network, and how to handle interviewing for jobs with my new skills. They were also fantastic about helping promote alumni as well, which ended up being how I found my current position. I've been with that company for 6 months now, have gotten the opportunity to work with a lot of great new technologies and great clients, and I just got promoted to an Assistant Lead position. My experience at LearningFuze is what made all of this possible. Because of the dedication and focus from the entire staff to help me maximize what I was capable of, I was able to learn a huge number of new skills in a very accelerated time and build a solid base for understanding how to continue learning quickly. All of those things combined with my previous work experience have made it possible for me to have a great career trajectory so far, and it's given me something to pursue as a career that I actually love. If you're really serious about pursuing a web development career, I would strongly recommend LearningFuze. So many places just want your money. I did an extensive amount of research into coding boot camps before ultimately going all in on LearningFuze. It wasn't that the other boot camps I visited were bad, it was that LearningFuze was just that good. I can't recommend their full-immersion program enough. The culture they've built with their insanely knowledgeable instructors really makes the 12-14 hour days enjoyable. Dan, the lead instructor, is able to break everything down to a very learnable level and makes sure everyone has full understanding of difficult concepts before proceeding. But be warned, the program is extremely rigorous and will push you to your limits. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend taking their two introductory root courses to get a feel for development. If you're serious about starting a career in development, I always recommend doing your own research but LearningFuze's reputation as the best boot camp in California is real and they deserve to be at the top of your list. read more

Learning Fuze does a great job at sparking interest in new comers while also giving veterans the challenge they want and need. The Full Immersion program at LearningFuze is no joke. It will test your determination and cram so much information into you that you will slowly begin to feel like you're drowning in it. While that may sound like a terrible time, I'd like to say how much I actually enjoyed this program and how much knowledge I actually gained out of it. The instructors here are top notch and they are available all day (which I felt was very important) to help you with all things coding related. If you truly feel like you require help, they are always here for you, but most importantly, they will never give you freebies. Instructors will make you work for your answers and want you to come to a solution yourself. I believe this helps you to become a better programmer and problem-solver in general. I'm not going to lie, you will be frustrated. You will feel overwhelmed and stressed at times, but you should realize that struggling means you're learning. I'm a week and a half away from graduating here and the people I've connected with, and the abilities I've gained exceeded my expectations. I came into the bootcamp starting to code only a month prior to the full-immersion program starting and I feel like I've learned so in the past 3 months. More importantly, I feel like I can learn other languages that weren't covered in the program because this program has built such a strong foundation of coding knowledge within me. If you're looking for a bootcamp that'll allow you to leave with the skills of a junior developer and the ability to learn new languages to better yourself as a developer, look no further. When I first decided to go to a bootcamp I was very very skeptical of how anyone would be able to find a developer job after such a short period of time. I was about to spend a lot of money on something that might be hit or miss which was a big risk for me especially because I have a family with 2 young kids. After reading tons of reviews and visiting a few campuses, I decided to enroll at LearningFuze. The main reason I chose LearningFuze was because I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me something. They didn't have the flashiest campus or as many cool amenities as some other bootcamps but they were honest and real with me. They didn't try to wow me on how I'm going to make so much money after finishing. They showed me real stats (about the job market and their alumni) and were honest about starting salaries for developers in OC and what it was really like trying to find a job after graduating. Another reason I chose LearningFuze was that they have one campus in Irvine and they have many connections and alumni in that area. I wanted to work in OC and I wanted to go to a bootcamp that gave me the best chances of staying there. The instructors and staff at LearningFuze are great and really try to be there for you. Not only did I learn a lot during the program but after I graduated they were always just a quick slack message away while I was building my portfolio and looking for a job. They have a great culture at LearningFuze and they do a good job of finding other students who are motivated and want to learn so that we can elevate each other. So for anyone who wants to go to LearningFuze, you'll be making a great investment but be prepared to put in the work. For me, doing EVERYTHING the instructors wanted me to do was a MINIMUM. I would come to class early, code all day, make time to eat dinner with my family, say goodnight to my kids and code until at least midnight EVERY SINGLE DAY. Just writing an update on my experience with LearningFuze as a member of the 3rd cohort almost 2 years ago. With Bill's help i was able to land a paid internship within a month of finishing the program which after 3 months led to a full time job. While there i received multiple promotions which i credit to my ability to learn fast and work hard, traits that i picked up while going through the program. Currently i am working for AutoGravity, my second job since finishing the program, which happens to be the best company i've ever worked for. A real startup which moves fast and takes real good care of their employees. LearningFuze has opened up many doors for me that i can't imagine being able to do on my own. Taking this course was the best decision of my life. I now have a career in the industry i love. Just know that the hard work doesn't stop once you finish the program if you want to continue moving up and getting promotions/raises. Keep up the grind after you finish and you'll move up quickly. Since cohort 3 i've been back many times to visit the school and i have seen the program improve by 10x! I'm glad I went to LearningFuze instead of one of other bigger bootcamps around OC/LA area because I had a very special experience meeting amazing instructors, staff, and classmates who truly cared. Yes, it is possible to teach yourself how to code at home but it will proabably take much more efforts and time to do so. I didn't have enough self-discipline to teach myself at home so I received some help from LFZ and I'm so glad I did. They support you but you gotta do the work yourself and learn to sell yourself to potential employers. I graduated from LearningFuze 6 weeks ago. I enrolled in the full-immersion course. Please let me share you with you what I think is special about this Bootcamp. Career service: LearningFuze has a magical event called demo-day. After your portfolios get approved, you are qualified to it. It is an event that Lfz helps you connect directly to employers. As the oldest and the most successful Bootcamp in SoCal, lfz has a very strong connection to local tech companies. At demo day, local companies come to you, talk to you, and check out your projects. You can see it as an express line to an offer, which is much better than applying online. TJ Kinion puts so much effort to keep demo-day ongoing. Many many students, include me, got their first offer through this event. Post-graduation time: You signed the contract with them that you will be a student there for 3 months. But after you graduate, you are more than welcomed staying in. LearningFuze set up an alumni room for graduates, where you can continue work on your portfolio and projects. You can still access all the instructors. They will help you just like they always did during the course. Cohort: After 3 months, friendship among cohort mates developed deeply. More than that, I get close with my previous, next cohort and even some alumni graduated a long time ago. I have to say, students in lfz just have class. Learning code is hard. But it is fun when you are with persons that have the same passion and goal as you. You won't feel lonely or lost when intelligent students are around you and grow together with you. You will make some life-long friends in this school. Course curriculum: they know what local tech company needs, and they design the course adapting that requirements. You learn what the industry is looking for. Besides that, they take feedback and update in each cohort. For example, my previous cohort didn't have enough time to dive deep into Redux, so they didn't cover that in my cohort, instead, they focus more on core React. For my cohort, students showed great interest in Node.js, so my next cohort, they support students to build the final project in Node. They do listen to students and change their content to make us happier. Tim.D, one of the lead instructors there, he creates his own materials, which is pure awesome. He knows what you know, you don't know and your think pattern. He doesn't only deliver knowledge but teach you competency to think like a programmer. My overall experience is amazing. I just completed my front end developer course here at learningfuze. I enjoyed every minute of it. Coding was very new to me and I was completely lost when first starting. But they will go out of thier way to help you out as they are very involved with thier students. They even let me come in on my lunches from work to get extra tutoring. That's how great of a staff they have. If I can do it all over again I definitely would. That's how much I enjoyed this course at learningfuze. I look forward to other courses they might offer in the future. I definitely recommend this cohort if you are looking for a career change or just looking to get into Web Development. I recently finished up LFZ's 12 week full time immersion program and would like to share my thoughts. Before attending the program, I was looking at other boot camps and to be honest the others had wowed me a little more at first. One boot camp was next to the Chargers training facility, had sport Wednesday and had cool rooms. But when I went into the orientations and did more research I noticed that I was looking at boot camps wrong. I wasn't planning on spending all that money and time just to have fun. This was about my future and about a career change. I knew as soon as i completed the program I needed to be job ready to land my first job without any prior coding experience. So I made pro's and con's list, I looked over reviews, instructors, and I asked current and past students for their feedback. I found some mixed reviews but a majority of it was positive. I went with LFZ because of Dan's (Lead Instructors) experience and his honesty in the info session. He wasn't trying to sell you on getting rich but was honest that not everyone makes a ton of money right out of the gate. It is all about those who put in what they want to get back. To me, it was an absolutely amazing program. Not only do they teach current tech, have passionate and inspiring instructors, they also truly care about each student. Currently in week 5 as part of cohort 8 and feel confident that I have experienced enough to leave a highly positive review. I entered into this program having only briefly explored the world of programming, eager and confident. What a cakewalk, I thought, what a cinch, why doesn't everyone do this? I enrolled with LearningFuze, proudly showing off my HTML and CSS knowledge. The first couple weeks were on topics I was at least familiar with, expanding on the use of positioning, on when to use what elements, on classes and ids, on prettying my page. They challenged us with new ways to use our tools, and introduced cool new ones like Bootstrap and Flexbox. As a group we persevered, learning together and bonding with our cohort mates and instructors. Then came JavaScript. JavaScript has become the focus of our class, now that the basics are behind us. Suddenly mindboggling logic problems are a daily challenge. Where HTML and CSS would always show you the direct result of your labor, often JS lurks behind the curtains, working in the shadows, throwing all sorts of errors. You bash your head against the screen until one or the other of you breaks. That said, the support has been abundant in the extreme. Without holding your hand, the instructors guide you towards solutions, encourage your explorations into the unknown, and theorize alongside your many queries. Fellow students grind against the machine all around, sharing insight and nuggets of relevant knowledge. To summarize. Is this an easy program? Absolutely not. Signing up to learn web development in any form is the action of a madman, as failure is around every corner. Try this, it fails. Try that, it fails. 1000 times you might fail. But through perseverance, the eventual success is made all the sweeter. If you want an easy ride to a career, look elsewhere. This has been the best learning experience I have ever had. I had always wanted to be able to create websites, and I decided to take it to the next level by signing up for a coding bootcamp. I had messed around with WordPress before, but the things I made were never very good. After 3 months I had made multiple websites, some games, a blog, a chat application and had the ability to create so many more things than I had thought possible. Now I have a job as a web developer. I finished the program at LearningFuze in March. It was a great and challenging experience. The staff here are very friendly, encouraging, and treat everyone with respect. They made me feel very comfortable and if there was a concept that I was struggling with they would take their time to help me understand. They like it when we ask questions and promote us to do so. I went to one of their info sessions prior to registering and they were also very friendly. I had a bunch of questions afterwards and they answered them. They also said to stop by any time during the day so that I can talk to students and see what the classroom structure was like. I did a lot or research before picking this place. They still continue to help even after you finish the program. I am currently working on my portfolio and if I get stuck I just need to ask one of the instructors for help. They also help you with mock interviews and building up your resume. The staff is very knowledgeable and if don't know the answer to a question they point you to another person or help you figure it out together. They really care about their students and want to see them succeed. The 12 week program is intense and they do expect you to be up to the challenge. They are open M-F from like 8:30 till 6:30, but they are usually open till later than that because they know that sometimes we need a space to work without distractions. read more

Making the decision to attend LearningFuze was one that didn't come easy but looking back was definitely the right move. With so many different bootcamps out there, a wide variety of language stacks to choose from, and the different pricing models I had a lot to factor in. My decision to attend LearningFuze came down to a combination of 3 things; the extremely high level of knowledge from the instructors, the development stack, and finally the pace at which you learn. To say that LearningFuze has a quality of instructors that is second to none would be an understatement. After comparing the total experience of the LFZ team to other bootcamps in the area the decision seemed easy on paper, they simply had more experience than almost everyone else. But what really set LFZ apart in my process was the love of teaching that their team brings. To give you an idea of how invested the instructors are in each and every student there were times when we asked them to give us extra help in the morning, sometimes as early as 7am, and they were willing. Oh and of course I can't forget that they are available online into the wee hours of the night to help with anything that may come up outside of class time. The development stack taught at LearningFuze dives into one of the most versatile languages out there, Javascript, while also introducing technologies such as; HTML, CSS, React, PHP, MySQL, Node, and Jquery. While this full-stack of technologies would be impossible to master in 3 months, LearningFuze did a great job of preparing me as a front-end developer with a strong understanding of how everything needs to connect to the back as well. With that being said I had many classmates that went the back-end route and also left with a strong grasp of the front-end technologies as well. Finally the pace and expectations that LearningFuze laid out not only created a roadmap for success but also a work ethic that would translate to any technical environment. Not only were we in class 8 hours a day but in addition to that we spent at least 4 hours working outside of class to stay ahead of the curve. This pace put me in a position to not only be a web developer after 3 months, but more importantly someone that would be able to make an impact on any team from day 1. My journey after LearningFuze has been atypical to most of the other developers. While I wanted to find a role that allowed for continued coding I was also interested in continuing to utilize my business development background. Since graduating I have actually come back to join LearningFuze as a Program Manager as we look to expand our course offerings to include Online Marketing and ReactJS in the evenings. I am fortunate to have not only found a school that gave me the tools to propel my career, but now an employer that I whole-heartedly believe offers an education that will allow anyone to make the career change they may have been thinking about. read more

I was impressed with LearningFuze bootcamp before I even started my first day of the program. They wanted to see if I was serious and ready because they didn't want me to feel unprepared for a course that packs a ton of information into a 14-week period. I had a zoom interview with a career counselor and a phone call with the Director of Operations before joining the program. Having talked to them, I could tell that they wanted me to succeed in this program and way after the completion of the course. That gave me a great first impression and I could tell they really cared. An amazing aspect about the program is their career services. Throughout my time here, we have had more than a handful of sessions talking about what we need to do to land that job we're pursuing. The staff here is really doing their best to prepare us for interviews and the job search. They really want me to succeed in my career in coding and it shows. I have just finished up the 9th week of the program and I can say that I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. So far we have learned HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Flexbox, Node.js, Express.js, RESTful APIs, and even more. Next week I'll be learning React and I'm pumped for it. This program genuinely has me excited about learning new programs and languages. It's in part due to the great instructors at LearningFuze. They make the learning experience fun and exciting. Whenever stuck, they are always there to help out. They also don't just give you the answer to make it easy. They really make me think about what is going on in the code so that I understand it.
