I never write reviews, but this time i had too. My wife and I stopped Saturday to buy her a new helmet and some boots for me. We arrived and went to where the helmets were. The owner came over and said to wait for him to try on a helmet-so we did. When he came over I said so "we're shopping for a new helmet for my wife". He told us to "come back when you're ready to buy". He also said he doesn't want people trying on the helmets. We were shocked by what he said. I have been riding since 1987 and everybody should know-You always must try a new helmet to see if it is the correct fit! It is protecting your head!!! I would suggest to all, to stay clear of this shop. I drove from Philly to buy, and left with nothing and glad we did. read more

Store has a lot of inventory for all ages. Jackets, shoes, clothing, accessories, patches, etc. I went a few months ago to look for a leather jacket and not once did anyone ask if I needed help. I was there for a while as I tried on at least 4 jackets. At the time, no one was allowed to try on helmets (due to Covid), at least that's what we were told but then we saw other people with them on. Went again recently, we were at least greeted this time and the older gentleman whom I assume is the owner, recognized my husband (who has been going there off and on since this store was at the Pennsauken Mart!). We asked if they had certain things in stock and the older lady seemed bothered to help. We got what we needed elsewhere. read more

Don't understand the Bad reviews. I shop at Leather Bound about once every 3 months or so and the customer service has always been fine. The owner (Not sure of his name, older gentlemen) always greets my wife and I with a hello and asks if we need help finding anything. We were just there today (12/31/22 New Years) for a new leather riding jacket. He asked right away if I needed help finding anything then showed me to the particular riding jacket. The owner has personally outfitted me with everything from my boots, riding jacket, chaps, and gloves. He is always patient with our questions whenever we came in looking for something! He definitely knows his inventory well, and could size me dead on! He made sure to offer a variety of sizes and wouldn't let me leave without being 100% sure it was what I wanted and was comfortable with! No hard pressure on anything! My husband and I have been going here for years for our riding a essentials. They have an awesome selection of facemasks, gloves, patches, and other riding accessories. We stopped by Friday evening for a couple of random items, and this is the first time I we had the pleasure of meeting the owner. We chatted a little bit and I showed him my yelp check in for free fingerless gloves, which he gladly honored. Hands-down the shop has the largest selection of well priced leather in the area! We literally stop every time we pass it so if you're in the area definitely check it out and if you're further away it's definitely worth a ride.! read more

Ordered a leather jacket for my 9 year old that didn't even last one day before it ripped in the sleeve. Contacted their customer service and they just passed the buck onto the manufacturer. From my dealings with them they do not stand behind the products they sell. After I sent another email telling them I was dissatisfied their response was they were going to withdraw their claim with manufacturer and I could get a hold of manufacturer on my own since I was unhappy and left a bad review. If you can save yourself the trip. I've been coming here since they opened and the customer service has gotten terrible. Almost offensive. I had a Badass helmet strap fall apart a half hour after buying it and the owner all but called me a liar. (I've been buying stuff there for years). I go out of my way and spend more to support these types of places. Typically it comes with some customer support and a little pride but it's apparent they just want your money. It's all smiles at first but the tone changes real fast with any type of issue. I've made three trips there this season for the same products I could have easily sourced online. They are far from having 'the customer is always right' attitude and it's a shame. They do have a large inventory of mediocre imported leather goods and poor fitting t-shirts. Ordered and paid for a helmet online on a Sunday knowing it would not get shipped until Monday. Went online Monday to check my account. Saw no order and emailed them and called them and no one picks up or in a few cases there were pickups, no person saying anything then a hangup. Then saw after a few minutes I was refunded my money. I know this is a hard to find helmet, but some communication would have been great. In their online store it still shows the helmet on sale! Here is my experience. On Nov. 3, I called the store and gave my measurements for sizing. I was told that a size 44 would fit me. So, I ordered the jacket. I received it on Nov. 11, but the jacket was a WHOLE SIZE too large (sleeves 2 inches too long!). I called the store. Since I loved the jacket and wanted it ASAP, I agreed to place a second order for the size that would fit me, a 42. On Nov. 18, I received the jacket, but it was NOT the same jacket! It was made of an inferior leather, the pockets had sticky leather interiors, whereas the first one had cloth interiors. Also the internal pockets were half the size of the first jacket and DID NOT have buttons to hold them shut, making them useless. I called the store and they were very rude, offering NO EXPLANATION for the different jacket and just told me to return them both. Stupidly I did. It cost me $70 to do so. A week later, they PARTIALLY refunded me for one of the jackets, yet the other jacket is STILL not refunded, over two weeks later. When I called the store again, then simply hung up on me. I will never recuperate my return shipping costs, and now I have to go through a process to get the rest of my money back. Mind boggling. read more

Was in Sunday with my fiance and spent $500 between the two of us. She bought a pair of boots that she wore for four hours and ended up being too tight. I called and asked if I could exchange or return, and said they were worn and was told yes. Got there today and was told with an attitude "I CAN'T TAKE THEM BACK. THERE'S STAINS ALL OVER AND THE SOLES ARE WORN" which is total bullshit. They were worn for FOUR HOURS!!!!! Their loss. I ordered a helmet from these guys and I am only 35-40 minutes away from them. They shipped it and the package has been sitting in limbo at the pennsauken post office for over 10 days not going anywhere. So I notified them and I get the "oh, we will check into it" and then a few days go by and I call them again and get the same answer! So I called them again and they put a claim into the post office and now i have to wait on the post office. Now mind you, they have insurance on the package and they could send another item too me but I am the one who has to suffer! I told them just to send me another helmet or give me my money back on my card. The girl hangs up on me! Their communication sucks and poor customer service. I have been in this store on more than one occasion. Today was my last time. I went to buy a helmet. Their helmets are comparably priced, so it was not at all about the price. My mate's shopping experience was excellent the first time we went in that store. Today, was horrible. When I asked for the helmet i wanted, she came back with a box. She then proceeded to say that they only keep one of each size in the store. Ewwww. For me, that's a no. I don't pay full price for display items. She started to explain in a very nasty tone how she can't take mo ey off of every helmet blah blah blah. Ok. Still not going to buy it. I start tking to my mate and another "salesgirl" comes from the storage area trying to intimidate me into shutting up. Lol. Negative. Yes, i said the first woman was rude, amd her little "bodyguard" wasn't going to change that nor was she going to shut me up. Smh. The man that my mate dealt with on our first visit, excellent. After meeting those two women, never again will we spend money there. And by the way sir, or whoever owns that store, do something with those women.
