My wife is always able to find special discounts via her Kohls credit card or other promotional items which leave her with the feeling that she was able to get the clothing for almost nothing. I personally haven't been inside a Kohls in at least 5 years so I'm not the best reference for the store vibe or layout. I was surprised at the checkout process. It seemed to go very quickly, but I could also see that it could be an issue during the holidays. Maybe? Maybe not! The self checkout is somewhat automated where it lets you know when the next kiosk is open. Self checkout is the way to go. It was quick and painless.

The store takes up a fairly massive plot in Hamilton Marketplace, but the space is poorly arranged. It is always simultaneously understocked and disorganized. Aisles have merchandise strewn about and are crammed together with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Customer Service is at the very front of the store, customer Self-Pick-Up is all the way in the back, yet sometimes online orders are split between the two locations? There are a few really helpful employees, but the majority are at best disinterested and at worst outright rude. Even accounting for the rude ones, this location is perpetually understaffed. On top of all of these issues, prices just generally aren't that great. As such, Kohl's seems to take up a retail space even it isn't sure about. Too expensive and not comprehensive enough to compete with Walmart or Target, not high enough quality to be considered along side Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus, it seems like Kohl's may be well on their way to emulating Sears and KMart.

I spoke to District manager by the name of Kristen Metoyer. She contacted me after I have filed a…read morecomplaint with the BBB regarding a very unpleasant , and traumatizing incident that took place at the Famous Footwear in Elizabeth, NJ (The Mills). I was waiting for someone from Caleres, Inc. to contact me to inform me what steps have they taken to make sure this horrific and racist incident does not happen again. Unfortunately, Kristen was not helpful or was she receptive of the situation I had to explain again. She was combative when I asked her, " how would you feel if someone called you a racial slur" , she then said to me, " Don't come at me, you don't know me", very aggressively. I asked her what resolution have you come up with, she said " I was just told to call you to let you know that we are aware of this", this compliant went to the BBB on 10/16/2021, she calls me today 11/10/2021 and says she doesn't know what I want. She told me in a very threatening manner to not yell, I told this woman, This is how I speak, If I wanted to scream or yell she would have known it. I don't like that immediately she makes the assumption because I am a woman of color I am causing drama, yelling like an animal!, her superiority complex showed so very clearly.
