Clean location, but the owner is extremely disrespectful. I ordered a salad, but didn't eat it because it was unpleasant. The waiter was someone I knew in high school who was very nice and said he would take the food back. The owner (older female) wasn't happy about that. She came to the table and asked me why I didn't like it, but it was hard to get past her attitude. She charged the meal along with my boyfriend's meal, which he ate. She called me a bitch while she was printing out the bill..classy! Didn't end there, her daughter knew my boyfriend and Facebook messaged him and myself. She went off about how classless & unprofessional I was. She even went as far to talk about my looks and said racial slurs. I wouldn't go back, I've never been treated like that before. Firstly I love Ledo's pizza. It is the style of pizza I grew up on. My family refers to this style as "Maryland style" pizza. In the same sense as there is a New York style & Chicago style. Maryland style is typically thin flaky crust w/ a sort of sweet flavored sauce. It's a love or hate for most. Ledo's is the founder for my knowledge of this style. I prefer the meatball topping. On to the larger review. This particular Ledo's is always consistently great, pizza, pastas, salad, apps etc. Their waitstaff / management is always friendly and concerned about the quality of the food and how the pizzas are cooked. The establishment is cozy and always super clean! Their soda and beer selections are great! Hats off for having Devil's Backbone and Cheerwine! Highly recommend this place! This is one of the best Franchises in the Liberia Shopping Center! They were able to accommodate and seat my party of 16 and were able to keep up with all of the drinks. The food was excellent, even though the pizza was a bit greasy. If you are the type of person who hates grease, I recommend eating the crust side of the pizza or ordering an entree. Other than that the waitress was very nice and was able to remember all of the 16 drinks! The other staff is very nice and very loyal to the franchise. Patrons beware!! I ordered a pizza to go, got all the way home only to find a freakishly long hair in my pizza (see photo). I immediately call the store and ask for a manager. Brenda comes on the line and, after explaining my situation, am told by her that she only has guys working in her kitchen tonight. She offers to make another of which I have to come all the way back for. I get to the store and this lady has the audacity to tell me I'm going to have to wait another 15 minutes because she's processing another order that came in before mine! That's it. We continue to get take out here but never, ever do we will dine in - the service is TERRIBLE and the owner is NASTY acting - and the staff reflects the attitude of the owners, I suspect. We love Ledo's Pizza - but we just cannot bring ourselves to eat in the restaurant... the ambiance (there is none!) is awful (bright lights and I mean BRIGHT) and the employees congregate in a corner table (a bunch of teenagers) paying far more attention to each other than the customers. It is obvious that the staff and the owners have little or no hospitality training - I'd say almost zero. What restaurant expects return business when they act like this toward their in-house customers? Trust me, it's only the quality of the pizza that keeps people coming back. Because we have complained on them with Corporate in the past, we now order under a fictitious name for take out (we fully believe they might "spice" up our food, if you know what I mean!) We cannot say enough about how good the pizza is here - the crust is to die for and the toppings are fresh, the sauce is incredible - but all that dies when all you can think about is how hateful the owners are to their paying customers - I mean just read these reviews for plenty of examples. If Corporate would send in some secret diners they would quickly learn about the experience in this one store and how lousy these owners treat their customers - I mean does that not ultimately damage the brand after a while? I'm shocked at some of the reviews on here. Ledo is a chain that at best reaches the level of average on a good day. The last time I ate there (near my home and convenient) I left so pissed that I wrote corporate and let them have it. Eventually a manager from this store called and she sounded all of 18 years old. I told her that with the lousy service I received I wouldn't return. Her barely apology fell short of sincere. The employees (on and off duty) were more interested in converging in a corner table and BS'in rather than taking care of customers. I finally had to yell across the room to ask my server for a refill. The pizza here is ok but nothing to brag about. Horrible hot wings and decent garlic bread. 9/27/2011.. Gave it one more shot and never again. Workers still spending more time talking with each other and off duty employees instead of taking care of customers at the tables. The Good: OMG! Why don't we have a Ledo Pizza out on the West coast? Oh yeah, it's a family owned company and they are only in the DC area. We ordered a large half meat lovers /half mushroom pizza. We had an hour long wait from our order being lost? They use canned mushrooms instead of fresh. gross. Their sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The worst part was when we finally found a manager she acted as if our order had just been put in 15 minutes ago. My "Favorite pizza place", with great salads and wings too! I like mine wings eXtra WELL done. No problem, they're happy to accommodate. The pizza is what I crave here and for me, it's all about their "Ledo's sauce"! It's sweet and savory with a rich tomato flavor. One of my new favorite weekend spots. From the moment we walk in, we are greeted with a warm welcome. It's like being at home and having your best friends take care of you. Their staff is super friendly. They know the menu. I never had to ask for refills, napkins, or anything else because their staff is on top of it. Ledo ... woahhohhhaaohhhhh .... OK, sorry, I had to get that out of my system. Every time I think of Ledo's, Boz Scaggs pops into my head. (And yes, I know it's spelled "Lido" in the song ... don't disturb my groove!) Ledo's has been serving their unique brand of pizza in the DMV for almost 60 years, My first introduction to them was about 10 years ago when living in Gaithersburg. One of my roommates grew up in Silver Spring, and was raised on Ledo's. He would crave it so much that he would frequently drive out way out to their Montgomery Village location for a pick-up order. But he never shared his Ledo's! So my first taste was with a friend a few years ago in Pasadena MD. Shortly after, this Manassas location opened up, and my wife went there a couple of times but we stopped because they took a couple of the unique pizza toppings I really liked - namely crab and chorizo - off the menu. A few weeks back the wife and I were looking for something different and decided to drop in for the first time in a while, and we were glad we did! While those toppings I liked are still off the menu, they do have some interesting options. We started with their Chicken Chop Crostini - chicken, veggies, basil, and parm tossed in balsamic vinaigrette and served on garlic bread. Tasty and a great value for a $6 app. For dinner I went with their "Rockstar" craft pizza - which has their unique, slightly sweet house-brand "Ledo Sauce", prosciutto, and goat cheese. I inhaled a 14 inch - YUMMY! My wife wasn't feeling pizza so decided to roll the dice and try their pasta, and really enjoyed their four cheese ravioli, topped with (of course) Ledo sauce. Beer lovers - they do have beer on tap, and while it is mostly a pedestrian selection, they do typically keep one Starr Hill brew on tap, and sneak in another craft beer from time to time. Plus they have good draft specials and a few nice TVs to watch games. It's not a beer destination by any means, but you're more likely to find a good beer on tap here than other nearby chains (i.e. Red Robin, Longhorn, Ruby Tuesday) And the best thing about Ledo's is their value - 2 entrees (one of them being a 14 inch pizza) appetizers, and beverages for less than $30. Ledo's is not only good quality, but tremendous value for the dollar. And the consistency along the chain is high - expect the same food quality and value across their nearly 100 locations. This is our NUMBER ONE favorite pizza place. We are never disappointed with LEDO, no matter where you go. Since they grew from their original location in Hyattsville MD to several dozen locations along the East Coast, they have not lost their unique magic touch. OMG times a bazillion! I have been eating at Ledos FOREVER and this is by far, hands down the BEST LEDO PIZZA RESTAURANT I have ever been to. To start, the staff is amaaaaaaaazing! You come in and feel like family and they take care of you as if you are the only one that matters. Second...the food. The food is the best I have ever had in my many years eating at Ledos & i have eaten at many...thank God for elastic waste bands. While I have not had the pizza or the subs, I did have the spaghetti with meatballs this evening and my friend had the spaghetti with mushrooms and peppers. The noodles were cooked properly and the meatballs were not bad, however the sauce left a lot to be desired. I am not positive but the sauce tasted as if it had WAY too much oregano in it? I am a big man, with Italian heritage, that is really not very picky about spaghetti, however I will not be back for this dish anytime soon! I hate ledos pizza for the sole fact that when I get it I eat way to much of it! It is seriously that good. We regularly pick up from this location. I have one closer to my house but I feel this location makes a better pizza. The staff are friendly and except for one employee we never had a problem with them. The one problem we did have was with a woman employee that would not take our take out order over the phone with a credit card number. She said it was store policy. This deserves like half a star. Now lemme tell you why. My husband and I been trying to find a decent pizza deal around and sadly Domino's doesn't have what we normally order. So I came across this restaurant and I said why don't we get this. It was a family bundle deal. For like 376.99. It brings a 18" 2 Topping pizza. 1/2 pound of wings. Breadstick and the sauce that comes with it. No drink. Perfect. So far already starting off semi suspicious. Now, we NEVER ordered from here. So when we got our food (we did pick up) what we saw really had us baffled. For one the wings in the tub-a-ware was shocking. There were like maybe if most 4 pieces of like boneless chicken. More like small popcorn chicken pieces. The pizza was also not hot & We like like not even 5 mins away. The pizza sauce was also too sweet it wasn't good. They also only gave us like 4 very small celery sticks. I was very upset when I got my order. Went here for a treat for my children after a hard day of sports activity. We sat down and a male waiter said what do want. Really ? After placing our orders we received our cheese fries and during eating them we found a plastic / metal bread tie in our food. Which by the way was beyond hot like microwave tempature. After telling the waiter about what we found he said " yep that's a bread tie and walked away". We received our main courses one of which was a small cheese pizza. The whole entire pizza was burnt on top. Not to mention the bbq chicken pizza we asked for had onions on it. Awful. Just got home from lunch out with our sons and their families. 8 of us. First of all it was too warm inside. I asked if the A/C was broken, he checked and said thermo was set at 76. Ugh. He did get manager to turn it cooler, which took most of the meal to adjust. Next, no baby changing station in any of the bathrooms. Had to take 1 year old back to hot car to change diaper. Next...not one tray in sight, and the waiter had to make 4 trips back and forth to the table to deliver the drinks. We asked for half/water half/apple juice for the baby, as they had no whole milk. We realized half way though the meal, they had given us their sugary fruit punch in the cup. White plastic cup was opaque. The apple slices for the baby were rotting in the sealed bag. We ordered 2 Mozzarella sticks which were ok, and a very skimpy plate of fries, as it seemed a bit slow in there. There were 4 total other people in the entire restaurant. One waiter. Our meals were pizza, gluten-free pizza, 3 calzones, one sub. The sub roll was black on half of one top. Not watched in the oven. 2 buffalo chicken calzones were gloppy on the bottom, and the cracker like crust broke up into small pcs. No picking this up off the plate. Missed the usual yeast style dough you see every where else. One son asked if he could order the veggie calzone, and add sausage. He was told no more than 3 toppings. If you add sausage, you need to take away one of the mush., gr.pepper, or onion. Really? Couldn't you just add a little less of the veg? but keep all three? Bizarre. Calzones came with a cup of sauce, but there was no way to dip this broken up gloppy mess into another sauce. These really missed the mark. My other son really enjoyed the gluten free pizza, and husband like the Rock Star pizza. The bill for us was over $100. and I added $15. for the tip. I was hoping the waiter would buy him self a tray. The hand delivery of only 2 items to the table at a time was weird. Drinks, plates, everything...no other employee assisted to service the table at one time. Seemed no real restaurant training, and the food was sub par. I wished we had eaten at McDonald's and I still had $70. in my pocket. Very unsatisfying experience. I will never go there again. I like Ledo pizza. Better said, I like their food. The service here, however, is awful. We get the same server every time and she is extremely rude and has to be reminded about requests for lemons, things like that. She acts like she doesn't want to be bothered and she is doing us a big favor for small things like more salad dressing, which also costs extra. I don't think they have a large serving staff, because we have had this same server every time. The manager seems to overlook her behavior, because they are friends or something.
