And if you have had a bad experience, file a complaint with Better Business Bureau so they will get bad ratings there as well. I had asked them for a quote to replace a hot water Tank and I was given a quote of $2,200. They installed the hot water tank and they charged me $3,900. I sent in a complaint to Better Business Bureau (BBB) to help resolve the issue. I wanted Spearhead to send BBB some documentation of the quote, or a tape recording of the original conversation on the quote (on one of the bad reviews from Connor 5 months ago, the Owner replied that they recorded all calls and that he/she had rechecked the recording of Connor's call- Was that a lie about the recording?). BUT they did NOT respond to BBB at all, after repeated attempts to reach them, ignored BBB completely. How ARROGANT!! They don't care about the customer, they charge whatever they want, they don't respect their own quotes, and they don't respect the Better Business Bureau. BEWARE of Quotes from them.

The day after I see that they have made a charge on our credit card for $1000 - I have not received any appointment confirmation from them nor received any information that they would charge me without doing the job. I called them - pretty upset - they unlocked the charge - their excuse was that too many customers were not paying them which was why they had to charge in advance!!!! I am still chocked about this and I will investigate further into whether this is legal!

The representative who took our call was very professional and friendly and understanding of our need to confirm an appointment on one day, given the reservation system on the ski hill and us not wanting to cancel two days in a row for a 'tentative' appointment, thus we were given a guaranteed appointment time. The service representative arrived on time and was very friendly, appropriately dressed in PPE (as were we), took his boots off without us asking, and got right down to business. We had a relatively simple issue with a kitchen sink drain, which he fixed within a reasonable amount of time. We are very pleased with the professionalism, competence, and friendly service we received.

That is close to $200 to book me another visit, and a week's wait, to order the part for the shower faucet (I sent detailed pictures before so they could possibly have the parts on their truck) and to offer to supply a kitchen faucet with a $100 mark up ( 'I must understand they need to make something'). I was ready to pull the plug and absorb a half job at the cost of $200, but we decided to complete the job with me supplying the faucet (an instant savings of $100). They were late for the second visit. I was waiting by the front entry of our building with the large kitchen faucet box on the table in front of me. The plumber came in the building (the door was open for other construction workers on site that day). He was wearing a black jacket with no logo of his company, and a tool belt. He did not acknowledge me, so I assumed he was on the construction crews. Shortly he left the building. Then a number of minutes later, the plumbing company called, wondering why I was not there waiting for the plumber. So, he had walked in my unit, without making contact with me, replaced the shower handle and left. He just shrugged at the fact that he did not notice someone waiting right at the front door with a large kitchen faucet box, either on his way in or on his way out. He did come back and replace the faucet, but guess who pays for the all the wasted time. Hint: not them. Save yourself from the frustration. Don't call Wedgeview.

The technician Pierre parked in our common roundabout and when he took the tank out, a large spill of thick rust residue, looking like paint, was left. When I asked him to clean it up before he left, he was rude to a woman and defensive - saying that it happens every time and eventually the rain would take it away. There is no rain in the middle of summer. He had no intention of cleaning it up and was offended that I asked. I called the office and they were also abrupt and rude making excuses for Pierre. I was shocked that potential customers and neighbours could be treated this way for calling out Whistler Mechanical's mess and oversight. Whistler Mechanical needs to be more careful with the environmental spills they leave behind on our properties - and how they manage the clean-up.

The lady I dealt with was rude, curt, unhelpful and wanting to charge $95 just to come out to generate a quote AND also asking us to provide a credit card up front because they thought we were going to cheat them. One of our managers had contacted them, to inquire about a quote before I called and unfortunately he didn't have all of the information needed which is why I called and the same lady I got, went on and on and on of how difficult he was etc. Obviously if I'm calling you I have a problem, I don't want to hear YOU complain and nag about what YOU think is difficult. If customer service is too hard for you then don't do it. I just want an answer if you can help me or not. At the end they decided the job was too difficult.
