Great sense of humor and knowledgeable when it came to scheduling future appointments. My actual physical therapy was with Niki Kelley who spent a lot of time getting my history and how it related to my concerns. Niki was able to ask for details which helped in her assessment. The physical run through of bending stretching etc. gave her an idea of my negatives and positives. The exercises she ran me through were fully explained not only in how to do them but how and why they were helpful. Nikki gave me paperwork to show me how to do the exercises at home. I have appointments set up and look forward to returning.

She figured out the problem in one session and gave me a series of stretches to do at home. They are still getting up to speed since the move so there is virtually no waiting and I got the whole staff all to myself. They are not trying to sell anything nor push for extra visits. I got fixed in one visit (yea, a record!) had the full attention of the doctor who stretched me and pushed and pulled, showed me how one leg being longer than the other was twisting my pelvis, got me back in alignment and showed me a couple of quick exercises to keep from pinching my sciatic nerve. Would they accept my insurance. Had claims been made against them for inept performance. You get the idea. I narrowed my candidates to two places. I called Nassau Physical Therapy.. The person who answered the phone gave me some information and suggested that I come in and have a look. Jim Marino, the owner, welcomed my and explained how their practice worked. I learned that he had owned and run the practice for 26 years. I have had two appointments with Jim so far -- although I am sure the other therapists are equally competent. They have been great -- he has a wonderful sense of humor and somehow I have completed my exercises laughing. I will be back there in two day -- will post how it is going.

I had been to two podiatrists, acupuncturist, had Active Release Therapy, custom orthotics and strong antiinflammatory medicine with little improvement. Since my neck and shoulders didn't hurt before pt, I have to assume that AR caused it by rough treatment of my upper back. After I cancelled all future app, AR staffed called me 2x to resume my therapy with them This is not a rehab facility I would ever recommend to any one. No one goes to Pt to get new injuries. And there is great chance that a patient can be newly injured. Chose this facility at your own risk!
