So well taken care of by all the nurses! Only problem I had was that they still have double rooms , which is NOT acceptable.

I write this review conveying my sole opinions based on factual events that transpired…read more My father, a heart patient with diagnosed congestive heart failure ventured into Florida Heart Associates to see Dr. Catherine Law, MD---a former employee of Lee Health and Lee Physician Group. This was in April 2019. For five years, my father was on the same diuretic medication being Lasix 40mg once per day. My father also has chronic kidney disease and between this and his CHF, there has to be a delicate balance with medications. Now, with that said, being a doctor or not, why would you change something if everything is working as it should for years? This should be common sense, a dying element in today's healthcare. In April 2019, Dr. Law changed my father's diuretic from Lasix 40mg to Torsemide 10mg in order to better preserve the kidneys. This was her explanation and recommendation. My father spent the entire summer of 2019 in and out of Cape Coral Hospital and HealthPark as a result of fluid retention due to improper diuretic management all due to Dr. Law's prescription of Torsemide. You have no idea what it's like to watch your father, your best friend, gasping for air every, single day, unable to help him and watch helplessly as doctors, like Dr. Law goad over him as if they've done nothing wrong. I witnessed this when my mother and I drafted a letter to the nurse stating that we do not want Dr. Law coming in to see my father during his SECOND hospital visit in TWO WEEKS because WE DON'T TRUST HER. Dr. Law then became indignant, wanting to come in and argue with my mother and father over PATIENT'S RIGHTS to choose who presides over them in a hospital. She went against the first virtue of medicine: Do No Harm. My father was in the hospital THREE TIMES in SEVEN WEEKS. His last visit rendered him unable to breathe correctly for the rest of his life. As his son, I have to watch in tears as my father, a man who loved the outdoors, now confined to a chair, cries, wanting it all to end and I have to lie to him, saying it will get better with the 14 pills he has to take everyday just so he can survive. His quality of life is all but gone and I blame Dr. Law. Dr. Law, you should have practiced common sense and instead, doctors like you, full of pride and blatant disregard, feel the need to constantly change and prescribe a battery of tests and scripts when sometimes, the status quo, if it works, should be left alone. What you have done to my father and my family is unforgivable. You have robbed my family of peace and my father of his quality of life.

I have noticed that a lot of these reviews are old... but I've noticed a HUGE shift in the past 6…read moreyears we've been with them. At first support staff was fantastic but office admin was rough. Now office admin has completely changed, and have become some of the most helpful people in my day. They've added tech like the website portal and the text line that have made it much easier to communicate with them when I can't (or don't want to - let's face it I'm a millenial) to pick up a phone. We have appts often since my kids are neurodivergent and require check-ins every quarter, and they are always on top of it. While not all doctors are my favorite, Dr. Seitz (who recently retired) was incredible and Dr. Quinn has been my favorite yet. Not only does she listen to us parents, but she listens to the kids and interracts with them in a genuine and authentic way. She offers so many resources to help us along the way, and she also offers telemed when we're oding medicine updates and may not need to be in person (which we love because it helps us not catch something from anyone visiting a doctor for sickness!) Thanks Island Coast staff and Dr. Quinn - we appreciate you!
