Zero bedside manner. All business. No personality. Breezed in and out. If you're looking for a sympathetic ear, look elsewhere.

I called the office and was told I would have to fill out the same forms that we have filled out before they would even schedule an emergency appointment. This is a set of 4 documents that we had previously filled out with no changes. I asked the staff to have Dr Woodward call me. He did not. I sent a written complaint to Dr Woodward. He responded 2 weeks later defending his duplicate documents before appointment policy, accused me of being rude and said he refused to speak with me anymore as it was "his legal right". My mother in law speaks no English, I am the primary on the insurance and 100% support her. She is my dependant. We called another oral surgeon who was more concerned about my mother in laws health than paperwork and he got us right in called our dentist and had us fill out the paperwork at the appointment. We had used Dr Woodward exclusively for oral surgery so I guess we were used to poor treatment. It was refreshing to see a provider that cares. My family lives under constant despair due to the war and relatives fighting and dying. It was nice that the new oral surgeon showed compassion instead of insulting us and adding stress

After having six children, I had significant abdominal muscle separation (diastasis recti) that left me feeling defeated even after working out consistently at the gym. Dr. Kochuba repaired it beautifully, along with addressing the capsular contracture in one of my breasts. The results are truly amazing. I look like a new person. My abdomen is flat and strong again, something I thought I'd never have again! I feel confident in ways I haven't in years. From the very first consultation to the most recent post op appointment, Dr. Kochuba provided expert care. He took the time to listen to all my concerns, answered questions, and made me feel at ease. His attention to detail and surgical skill are outstanding. Recovery was great compared to most experiences I read about and I credit this to Dr. Kochuba's excellent surgical skill. He truly cares about delivering the best possible outcome, both visually and physically, and it shows in the results. The entire team at Austen-Weston was fantastic as well. Simone was wonderful (and patient, as I had many questions!) during my consultation, Katrina made sure I was comfortable and prepared the morning of surgery, and Anastasia provided caring support during my overnight stay, which I highly recommend adding on if you can. Even the Anesthesiologist did a perfect job and I wasn't even nauseas when waking up after surgery, which has happened every other time I've been put under. Every single staff member was professional, kind, and attentive. If you are considering restorative surgery, especially anything involving the abdomen or breast revision, Dr. Kochuba is the surgeon you want. He exceeded all my expectations and I am forever grateful for the transformation he gave me. Highly, highly recommend!

Recently, I went back for a second procedure, but this time after donating a kidney. The pre-op was a mess, including: - The practice contacting my transplant surgeon for clearance, even after I asked them not to. (At this point, she has no obligation to me except for routine monitoring. Plus, I haven't seen her as a patient since I donated four months ago.) - My "patient advisor" telling me, inaccurately, that they are concerned about my "liver" function. I pointed out that my liver function is just fine. - My "patient advisor" telling me that my (bad) kidney numbers "keep going up, up, up." That's simply not accurate. - The "patient advisor" telling me that they would give me Celebrex post-op. My response: "Um, no. As I told you earlier, as a kidney donor, I cannot take NSAIDs." - My "patient advisor" falsely telling me, apropos a possible discount, "As I told you earlier...." Again, that simply didn't happen. - The practice ignoring my PCP's clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months. - The practice ignoring my nephrologist's verbal clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months due to a minor blip in my kidney numbers. To be clear, they should have asked my nephrologist about a pre-op evaluation, not my surgeon. I'm pretty disappointed, as this was going to be my present to myself after kidney donation. To be clear: I appreciate their being careful. But when we are talking about my health, accuracy is key. And I am just not seeing it. Plus, while these inaccuracies may not be a big deal when individually considered, taken as a whole, they are deeply concerning. And I don't know how a patient can give informed consent when they are getting bad information about being given NSAIDs, etc. In fact, I don't know why you would give an NSAID to a patient post-surgery, but perhaps I'm missing something. I should also state, in fairness, that my patient advisor is very new, so that may be part of the issue. She also is not an RN, which is okay, but then she should have a high level of basic medical knowledge-like knowing that you cannot give kidney donors NSAIDs. I've asked for my deposit to be refunded and plan to go elsewhere. I'd love to recommend this practice, but I can't.

I may be a bit late to this review. Hell, I don't know if Yelp was around in 2007? Either way,…read morelet's go back a few years. In the spring of 2007 my dentist in the Fredneck area recommended I have my remaining wisdom teeth removed and recommended Dr. Michael Will, who just so happen to have his office 3 miles from home. Bonus. I made my appointment and went for the consult. I don't remember this consult very much as having teeth pulled was pretty common for me. (Before I had braces I needed 10 [yes, ten] baby teeth pulled.) It was when I was lying in the chair and he finished discussing the teeth removal that my memory really kicks in. At the very end he asks me, "do you often wake up in the middle of the night and you're not breathing?" What?! Yes! How'd he know?? He goes on to tell me he has much more education than just oral surgery and goes into how looking in my nose he can tell I likely sleep poorly. Bingo. Nailed it on the head. Dr. Will could have told me about the procedure he'd like to do to improve my sleep, but he doesn't. That's the easy move and that's not him. To ensure my apnea is mechanical, versus neurological or some other version, he sends me to do a sleep study and and have more tests which take about 2-3 weeks. I don't mind this because one, I've never had surgery; it scares me and two, he's being thorough ensuring that his procedure will correct my problematic sleep. I eventually have the procedure and was thrilled. I remember laying down on the surgical table, then I have a vague memory of goofing off in a wheelchair, then I'm sitting on my neighbors couch and their kids are putting stickers all over my sweatshirt. Zero pain. None, only mild discomfort for about 4 days. On day 4 I go back to his office and Dr. Will proceeds to remove roughly 325 feet of gauze from my nostrils. (I may be exaggerating.) While it didn't hurt, it was certainly a VERY strange sensation having that much packed gauze pulled from your nose like a clown pulls scarfs from his sleeve. It's now 2019 and as he told me back in 2007, I may need the same surgery once again. I'm here leaving a note as I prep for the same surgery far away from Maryland. If I were still in the USA I'd 100% go back to Dr. Will for the work he performed.
