The place had a super gloomy environment. Went there to get my feet done. First and last time. Walked in, no one else was working. Out of ALL the ladies there available to service me they sent me a guy, from my impression that was "new" he was older and SUPER RUFF with scrubbing and massage. He used the scrub bar hard and went over the top of my foot with it for no reason because it doesn't even belong there. The massage chairs had terrible cracked leather. I had to literally coach him through my french tip because he kept making the lines super thick with no arch. He got it right after coaching. Then says "please come back, I want to keep you" after he chuckled I said huh? He repeated his self and I awkwardly chuckled. THEN when I took a shower the a whole gel polished pinky came off (that happens when lotion/oils aren't properly removed before painting) went back the next day and hit it fixed. We stopped here on a whim while running errands yesterday and I got a basic pedicure. Before I even left the pedicure chair I had to ask for another coat of polish and to clean up my nails. The older gentleman said he would, followed me to "the drier" and put a little more polish on one toe nail and left. The driers weren't working. You could still see the old color of regular pink toe nail polish on my toes and he missed large areas on more than half of my nails. They left me sitting for about twenty minutes while we waited for the wax lady to come back, she waxed areas on my face several times (luckily didn't lift skin) rather than pluck one or two hairs. At this point I had to ask someone to come and fix my toenails again. A different lady came and filed one down. Finally I asked that someone do it the right way--I'm no expert painting my nails but I could have done a better job. Finally then two different women got involved--who seemed to have some management? Role and they pretty much had to paint over all of it. Finally left and was home for over an hour and the toe nail polish sheered off my toenail. Went back and got it fixed. My boyfriend also got pedicure and his feet feel worse than before we went. I am fixing them today. On arriving back to the salon when I was getting my toenail fixed again, another lady had her eyebrows completely ruined and was trying to keep her cool. The lady who messed them up was not at all worried she messed up and was yelling. It was only when I was looking for the phone number I saw how bad the reviews are for this place otherwise I would have never have gone. Believe them. It seems like this state is more reliant on google than on yelp so I checked it out. I 100% regret it. I came to get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I started with getting a pedicure first. I uploaded a photo with the lady who did my feet. 10/10 do not recommend her. She tried to take the drill to my toe nails after I told her to stop TWICE. She was really rough throughout the entire pedicure and it was NOT relaxing. I was so stressed the entire time. My toenails didn't even come out consistent! The left side is all round shaped and the right side is straight. When it came to polishing the nails, she went straight with the color. I had to ASK if she was going to put the base coat on. I spent over an HOUR here getting JUST my toes done and was so over it. I left after paying for the pedicure. There was no way I was going to trust this place with my nails. read more

I haven't been to them in 15 years and have my own regular nail technician. My tech had an emergency and would be out of the country for a month and I needed to have my current gel nails removed before going to my secondary tech. I came here in the early evening and was in and out somewhat quickly. the manager is the same women that I used to go to many years ago, she set me up with a tech who worked pretty quickly, she was a little rough at moments but it wasn't too bad. I used to come here before but stopped coming because I had a not so great experience. I came here on 09/10 for a fill-in and a pedicure and to give them another chance. The only reason why I came here because my usual name tech is currently out of the country. I was in the chair at 9:50 and didn't leave until 12:25. The lady was attempting to pull up acrylic that didn't need to be pulled up (because my usual nail tech is amazing). I asked her not to do that and just do my fill in. She then proceeded to continue to do it saying water can get under and cut me 3 times. And what does she put over my cut that was bleeding....nail glue. She continues to say sorry, sorry but I didn't want to hear it. If I wasn't in the middle of my service and needed them done I would have walked out. Never ever had I cried when in a nail salon. I was beyond frustrated because I asked you not to do something and hurt me when you didn't listen. I just asked for a french which is white tips thinking who could mess that up. My nails looks atrocious, freaking horrible. Now my pedicure, I asked for a gel pedicure which I always get. My last gel pedicure lasted 2 months with no nails chipping. I had my pedicure done at let's say 12:20 because it was the last service by 7:30am the next morning I was missing polish off of 3 nails (less than 24hrs)! I was out of town so there was no way I could go back. I shouldn't have to go back hence the reason for getting gel polish. Another red flag is most times when a nail salon opens especially on a Saturday morning it gets packed quickly, not this place. It didn't get packed at all! This just solidified everything. I know most places can be hit or miss so I wanted to give this place a try; HUGE waste of money and time, plus I'm walking away in pain!!! Not only do they advertise false pricing, but they are apparently not all qualified to do what they claim! I got full legs and a Brazilian and in the beginning I let the lady know she's applying the wax in a way that it won't work. She wasted my time by not actually removing my leg hair and then actually hurt me when she started the Brazilian!! She has no idea what she's doing and took my feedback poorly then tried to charge me $160 total for taking up my time and hurting me!!!!!! So I've been trying this place out over the course of several years here and there...and really this is the same as anywhere else regarding the hit or miss aspect of the shop...when you first try a new place it often takes trial and error to find the tech the is right for you. That being said, this place has 1 maybe 2 techs that I've found I really like. Gigi is wonderful and pays attention to detail. Ana is quick and is responsive if you point out things you want touched up. Other than this I have had 3-4 other techs work on my feet/nails and I have either been disappointed or just barely satisfied. On my most recent visit several weeks ago (prior to all the Rona mayhem) I was disappointed. I went in for a fill. My preferred techs were unavailable so I was directed to a tech if never worked with before. She was to do an ombré (nude and white powder) fill. The fill was disappointing because she did not use nude powder to fill it at the cuticle. She used clear powder. So the end result left me still looking like I needed a fill!! Not cool at all. But I will say, there are several techs at this establishment that I have not worked with so quite possibly these individuals could be a great fit to meet my needs. I guess it will be a while before I find out though...since I plan on removing these and not returning to ANY nail shop for a new set until COVID19 is under control. read more

Avoid Avoid at all cost!!!!!!!! Went in for quick gel nail polish change and the lady literally destroyed my nails scraping it. This place didn't have the tech to remove it with minimum damage. The tool box she was using looked beaten up and I am pretty sure was not disinfected as she put it right back in her drawer after using them on me !!! She put on a dried up old nail polish and when I let her know it wasn't a good polish she kept insisting it was brand new while adding polish thinner to the bottle!!! Cut few places around my fingers as she was cleaning up the "extra flesh". I was on the hunt for a decent nail salon in the Norfolk area & was pleasantly surprised by Lee's. I've been to several & it always seem like space is limited & you always have to wait but Lee's was HUGE. It's really the most spacious nail salon I've been in. They seemed more than adequately staffed so that along with all the booths & pedicure stations; I'm sure they should never have a wait ... & if they do, it wouldn't be too long. They're fairly new so everything was still clean so they have been maintaining the store really well. Everyone was friendly & welcoming. Service my Thomas was top notch ... his free spirit really made my day lol. I left beyond satisfied, being that I could get in & out quickly & receive good quality nail treatments for a beyond reasonable price. The only thing I wished they had was a wider variety of O.P.I., Essie, or China Glaze polishes ... honestly, the rest just chips off after a couple days so I prefer those brands; but I'll just bring my own polish next time :) Overall a great nail salon that you could consider being a regular there. The owner was going to do my nails finally, sat in her chair and then asked me if she could do someone else's nails told me no more than 20mins. She tried removing my lashes but just pulling them out causing me to lose my real lashes. They are not clean in terms of hygiene during COVID. I watched her take money from a customer and attempt to start my lashes without washing her hands. I asked if she could make them fuller and she literally added one lash. I never will go here again or let my daughter go by herself. Their nail tech Jasmine did my 12 year old daughter's nails about a week ago. My daughter and her friend were dropped off by her friends mother while she ran some errands. My daughter sent me a picture of her nails they looked cute. I asked her how much were her nails she said $75. I'm like $75?Nothing about her nails was worth $75 they're short and a regular shape. Maybe because they were ombre with different colors on each nail idk still not work $75 to me. For all of that she could have gotten a pedicure as well. Anyways the next day one of her nails came off and one was cracked. Two days after that another nail broke off so we called the shop they told us to come back on the weekend when Jasmine is working but we weren't able to make it up there. I called all day yesterday they gave me the run around and when I finally spoke to the manager today she said they can fix it for a fee. No ma'am her nails should not have been breaking within the same week, they took advantage because she is a child, and overall the nails were not worth $75. I have been patronizing this nail shop for over ten years off and on since they were in Military Circle. Back then things were different and the owner Ann seemed to care about her clients and the business she had gained throughout the years. Well, I stopped coming once before because one of her nail techs who I had enjoyed coming to for years started becoming rude and unprofessional so I spent my money elsewhere. Years later I seen Ann in the community and she asked me where I have gone and I explained to her the situation which she already knew about. I told her that I would try again, which I did. I would normally only go to Ann but she would act as if she had so much to do and push me off on someone else when I fact I refused because I do not allow just anyone on my nails. She pisses me off one day and I stopped coming again. Well one day about one year later I decided to come back but this time I tried a nail tech with whom I had become fond of and she did an excellent job on my nails every time. Her name is MiMi!! Ann appeared to be jealous about all of the business that MiMi had and stopped her from taking appointments. Ann is unprofessional because MiMi having so much business increases her revenue. Anyway, I again stopped coming because I'd rather do appointments due to my job. I don't even speak to Ann anymore because she's rude, unprofessional, and very phone. I remember her daughter when she was a little girl and she has grown to be just like her mother so I don't speak to her either because I don't want to have to our her in her place talking sideways to me. The staff here is so professional and friendly that I spent 1.5 hours looking for her new place. I finally found her number (thanks to good ole Google) and called for her address. When I walked in she greeted me with a warm smile and said "..you found me". Yes...I'm home again!!!! Mrs Lilly did an awesome job on my pedicure!!! She was very through, knowledgeable and very personable! She gave me "new feet"...lol!!! She was so entertaining and had me laughing so hard. Thank you Mrs Lilly!!! I've visited this salon a few times. It's definitely a hit or MISS. I've noticed recently they don't have a pricing chart up, which I don't care for too much( my prices have changed for the same service a few times, but I have nothing to go off of. THEY LITERALLY make up prices. The over pricing is insane. I visited the salon a couple of days ago for a polish change and I had a small "nic" on the side of one nail that needed fixing.(i was charged $3 for that. I had gotten a fill a few days ago and wanted to just switch up the color. The tech whos booth I was seated at, didn't speak English. The tech sitting next to him had to explain what I was saying each time I referenced my nails. The tech who was translating, looked over while my polish was being drilled off and said I needed a fill, which I knew was false because again I JUST GOT ONE 3 DAYS AGO. But I said " no thank you!" Don't try and get over on me.... Anyways my nail tech goes to apply acrylic to the "nic" on my nail and puts a glob. So my nail looks deformed. Even after drilling over it... it looks like I have a lump on the side of my nail. Then I asked for black polish, I have a short set. He started painting my nails but put multiple layers on, before switching hands and putting my nails under the light. As a result my polish has small air bubbles on EVERY fingernail, the nail polish is lumpy and in the sunlight you can see EVERY light spot. I wanted my nails cut shorter but the tech translating wasn't around, so I didn't bother. I love my nails and have no problem paying for amazing, clean work, but this was far from amazing. I have missed spots at my cuticle, my nails have air bubbles, they are lumpy and misshaped due to the many coats of black gel polish applied I'm guessing trying to avoid light spots..... but I have those too. I usually don't leave reviews good or bad, but if I pay well over what the service was worth a review is indefinite. Where are the nail techs that take pride in CLEAN, well shaped, fully cover nail polish, and satisfied customers. I have been going to nail salons with my mother as a child and I have been getting my nails done since high school, I'm 26 yrs old... so we're talking a while, I know what my nails SHOULD look like and it's not this. I called and let them know it may have been the polish but my nails have air bubbles...etc. they said I could come back and get them fixed.... but I didn't bother. I know it may have just been the nail tech and not the salon as a whole you shouldn't have someone doing nails JUST because they can... it takes a certain pride in what your doing. They wouldn't have sent me to him if I was getting a full set or ombré, because I was getting a "simple" color change they sent me to him. If I have to pay YOUR requested price for your services ALL nail techs should have equal talent. I have been to a nail tech here who has done a great job, but the fact that I trusted the salon to choose a nail tech them knowing this person wasn't the best, but because I was getting a simple color change they sent me to him. maybe he shouldn't be working there. My sister and I went here about two weeks ago on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy, they lady asked if she could help us when we walked in and I said we need two full sets. She told us pick out a color and told us where to sit. The owner named Anne did my nails and I think it is her daughter who did my sisters nails. The lady doing my nails got up three different times and went in the back. Not to get supplies but because she was eating!! It took her about 49 minutes total to do my nails including the time she spent in the back. She did a crappy job like she was in a hurry. I took the nails off about two days later because they were so bad !! The young girl that did my sisters nails cut her, several of her nails were cut slanted and two of her nails were crooked! We will never go back here again !! The shop is very big and is nicely decorated!! That is the only reason why I gave it two stars. read more

So disappointed with this spa. I got my nails done chrome back home and loved them so much I was on the search to get a new color and a fill. I called ahead of time to make sure that they did them. First of all when he was using the machine to shave off the old color he got my real nail back by my nail bed and it rubbed so hard it was burning. Did that about 3 times, then he let go of my finer and it rubbed all on my thumb while still rotating. Then my fill wasn't even all the way to the cuticle, so it looks like I've had it done for two weeks and need another fill already and then the chrome turned out so so bad. I honestly didn't even want to pay for the service. He was using the tool to put the gold chrome on and his own nail was scratching the chrome off and he just put top coat on it and sent me on my way. Worst nail experience! One nail tech handed the clippers she used on me to the tech next to her! It was busy and the techs sister from another salon came in and did my daughters nails. She did not work there and had no license to practice displayed. This appeared to be an issue as the male in charge and the tech doing my nails began to argue. The tech doing my nails was distracted speaking to her sister, watching the front arguing with the male. My nails are all crooked and have jagged edges. She empty the water and sprayed down the tub. Because of her inattentiveness she sprayed me down with water. Tried to hang in there hoping for improvement. The the basin began to leak. Pointed that out to the tech who cleaned it up. Then returned to finish my nails. I asked her to wash her hands as she had just mopped up the floor using those same hands. That seemed to be as issue as the chatter between he and the sister become heated. Needless to say this was the end of my pedi. Was expected to pay for the less than stellar service.
