It is not "personal character assassination" to reference the public tone and wording that YOU, as the business owner, chose to post publicly under multiple client concerns. Clients are allowed to discuss their experiences and reactions to public interactions from management, especially when those responses come across as hostile, combative, or dismissive. I already acknowledged the written policy in my original review. My concern was the conflicting verbal information provided when I proactively called in an attempt to responsibly reschedule the appointment, as well as the professionalism displayed afterward. Feedback and criticism are part of accountability within any business, especially within healthcare and veterinary settings. Responding defensively to criticism instead of professionally only further reinforces the concerns being raised. I did not simply "miss" an appointment or fail to communicate. I proactively called ahead because I was unable to make the scheduled appointment time and was attempting to responsibly reschedule the appointment. During that conversation, I specifically asked what the fee would be and was verbally told it would be $20. (Please train YOUR staff accordingly if this does not reflect YOUR current policy.) Instead, I was later charged the full $78.97 deposit. What concerned me most was not even the money itself, but the way the situation was handled afterward. The communication from staff felt inconsistent, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile despite my attempt to communicate responsibly ahead of time. After this experience, I began reading through owner responses to other client concerns online and was honestly shocked by the aggressive tone and public hostility displayed by management. Businesses absolutely have the right to respond to reviews, but professionalism, compassion, and respectful communication should still be maintained, especially in a veterinary setting where clients are already stressed and emotional. The "Dr." ego is very real here. Instead of accountability or professionalism, many of the public responses from ownership come across as combative, defensive, and focused on publicly arguing with clients rather than resolving concerns respectfully. The overall experience left me extremely uncomfortable and lacking confidence in the professionalism of the practice. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully read both the reviews and the owner responses before making a decision. Feedback is what keeps checks and balances within an organization. Public criticism should not be met with hostility, defensiveness, or condescension from ownership. It should be handled with professionalism, accountability, and respect.

I was extremely emotional, felt so guilty, and honestly felt like a bad dog mom. I called ahead, and they told me to come right in and assured me they would help us right away. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind. A special thank you to Summer, who was so compassionate, personable, and wonderful with my dog. She really helped put me at ease during a stressful situation. The team communicated my dog's results clearly and professionally, gave me a detailed recovery plan, and answered all of my questions. The pricing was fair, and we were in and out within an hour. I'm so grateful for the care we received today and will definitely be coming back for my pup's routine checkups. Thank you to everyone at Murrieta Oaks Veterinary Hospital for taking such great care of us!

Nobody has called or emailed results. My second complaint is that when I asked them to show me how to visually put in medication in ear and how to use the ear flush, they were no help. They didn't show me how, they only read me the instructions. I had to go home and watch a YouTube video to figure it out. Which was really hard to try to put in medication in my dogs ear and my dog doesn't let me. They should have gave me oral medication or gave me my best option based on my dog or at least gave me tips or tricks on how to put in medication.

I am so very grateful to Dr. Rose and the team at Serenity Holistic Vet. Our girl, Nikka, is a 12…read moreyear old Husky/Shepherd mix and she recently developed some hind leg soreness/stiffness and urinary incontinence. We took her to a conventional vet to rule out UTI/kidney issues and had X rays done to ensure there was nothing grossly abnormal structurally with her bones. Everything checked out and I knew I didn't want to start her on a medication with significant side effects or have her on pain meds indefinitely, so I searched for holistic vets who did acupuncture and was so happy to see Dr. Rose was local to us! . On our first visit, Dr. Rose did a thorough exam of Nikka and informed us that Nikka had an unusual heart murmur. A different vet at a conventional clinic that had seen Nikka just a few weeks earlier also mentioned the heart murmur but said it was very mild/quiet and didn't seem concerned about it all and didn't give us any indication that it needed to be investigated. I thought that the murmur must be no big deal based on how the first vet handled the finding. Dr. Rose immediately told us that Nikka's heart murmur was quite pronounced and unusual sounding and she gave us a lot of info and recommendations on next steps. . Well, today we took Nikka to a cardiologist where she had an ECHO and it turns out she has dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which, thankfully, has been caught early and might be able to be improved with medication and dietary changes. . Dr. Rose literally saved Nikka's life with her attention to detail, her excellent clinical skills, and her prompt and informative follow up and recommendations. I will be eternally and forever grateful to her competence and expertise. . Nikka has also had 2 sessions of acupuncture and cold laser/photobiomodulation and she definitely has more pep in her step. Nikka also loves coming to Serenity Holistic Vet, she isn't anxious or nervous and just settles right down and relaxes when the acupuncture needles are in. Dr. Rose is a gem and we are so lucky to have her here in Murrieta.

After bringing him home, his condition worsened, his tongue turned blue, and unfortunately he passed away. I understand that anesthesia and surgery can carry risks, but this was devastating and unexpected. He was a healthy dog. I strongly recommend that pet owners choosing a shelter for spay or neuter procedures consider having blood work done before surgery to check for any underlying conditions that may not be obvious beforehand. I'm sharing this so other pet owners feel comfortable asking detailed questions about post-operative recovery, discharge criteria, monitoring, and what signs should prompt emergency care after surgery.
