I've been to other vets with my older Dane before I found this place and Sun City Vet is far better than any others in the area I have visited..

It is not "personal character assassination" to reference the public tone and wording that YOU, as the business owner, chose to post publicly under multiple client concerns. Clients are allowed to discuss their experiences and reactions to public interactions from management, especially when those responses come across as hostile, combative, or dismissive. I already acknowledged the written policy in my original review. My concern was the conflicting verbal information provided when I proactively called in an attempt to responsibly reschedule the appointment, as well as the professionalism displayed afterward. Feedback and criticism are part of accountability within any business, especially within healthcare and veterinary settings. Responding defensively to criticism instead of professionally only further reinforces the concerns being raised. I did not simply "miss" an appointment or fail to communicate. I proactively called ahead because I was unable to make the scheduled appointment time and was attempting to responsibly reschedule the appointment. During that conversation, I specifically asked what the fee would be and was verbally told it would be $20. (Please train YOUR staff accordingly if this does not reflect YOUR current policy.) Instead, I was later charged the full $78.97 deposit. What concerned me most was not even the money itself, but the way the situation was handled afterward. The communication from staff felt inconsistent, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile despite my attempt to communicate responsibly ahead of time. After this experience, I began reading through owner responses to other client concerns online and was honestly shocked by the aggressive tone and public hostility displayed by management. Businesses absolutely have the right to respond to reviews, but professionalism, compassion, and respectful communication should still be maintained, especially in a veterinary setting where clients are already stressed and emotional. The "Dr." ego is very real here. Instead of accountability or professionalism, many of the public responses from ownership come across as combative, defensive, and focused on publicly arguing with clients rather than resolving concerns respectfully. The overall experience left me extremely uncomfortable and lacking confidence in the professionalism of the practice. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully read both the reviews and the owner responses before making a decision. Feedback is what keeps checks and balances within an organization. Public criticism should not be met with hostility, defensiveness, or condescension from ownership. It should be handled with professionalism, accountability, and respect.

Dr. Dickson has always been honest, and that's what we have appreciated, but unfortunately, her receptionists have never been professional. They are always rude and act like you're bothering them. I wish she would find someone who wants to be there so more people would feel comfortable and welcomed into the office. I dread calling and making appointments because of the receptionist. I also wish they updated their technology so we could email, leave messages on the phone, and pay with debit.

I hate how because of my days off and my income I have to work with her for the sake of my fur baby. And while in the past she has seemed to properly care for my pet the last visit might be the last straw for me. In my last visit Dr Dixon refused to listen to my pets past medical history of having a spinal aneurysm in her youth contributing to limb weakness. I was upset but trying to maintain my composure during the visit to which Dr Dixon decided to confront me during the visit about my emotions. When I stated to her that I was feeling dismissed and not listened to she quickly brushed it off while running out the door "sorry that's not my specialty". Like she couldn't have stated that before. The final kicker is that she did a UA during a recheck after a round of antibiotics and stated "no bacteria but presence of nitrates". I trusted her because I am not a vet and she did not prescribe any medication just a joint supplement to my dog. This was Monday 5/19/2025. Cut to today and my dog is now peeing blood with another UTI because apparently according to internet searched nitrates can indicate presence of a UTI. As a Veterinarian she should have known this and treated my pet appropriately but because she did not prescribe any antibiotics now my dog potentially has to deal with an antibiotic resistant infection due to the length of time she let the infection go untreated. So now because it is Memorial Day and her office is closed I have to go to a more expensive vet but honestly I'm probably going to get better care there. I'm so disappointed.

I initially found them when Banfield suggested a procedure for my Westie that didn't sound right to me and the vet refused to provide appropriate details or even answer my questions. So I sought a second opinion. Dr. Telles actually did x-rays and her diagnosis was that the procedure recommended by Banfield was not necessary and she saved me approximately $800. Thus started our relationship. Years later, now with an additional dog, I had a terrible diagnosis of my Westie (16 yrs at the time) of kidney failure. Dr. Post was thorough, patient and while I was trying to come to terms with the news and possible euthanasia, Dr. Post pleaded with me to let him try flushing the kidneys first. Not only did that work, he put him on a prescription diet and I got to spend another year with my Mac before his kidneys ultimately failed him. Six months prior to that, I lost my 11.5 yr old to cancer. Dr. Post wasn't there, however, the vet standing in for him was just as empathetic. Both times I received sympathy cards from the vet and staff. I love how this staff loved my dogs for so many years. Both Doctors always provided me multiple options for whatever treatments they recommended. Let me just say that I NEVER felt like this business was trying to upsell me on anything! That has not been my experience.

I visited three different veterinary clinics in Wildomar and Murrieta because it was important to me to meet the veterinarians and ensure my baby would be truly cared for. Dr. Post is amazing and clearly a true animal lover, which makes all the difference. You can barely see Peppers' spay scar, so he is clearly a talented surgeon as well. Thank you again for everything!

We took her to a conventional vet to rule out UTI/kidney issues and had X rays done to ensure there was nothing grossly abnormal structurally with her bones. Everything checked out and I knew I didn't want to start her on a medication with significant side effects or have her on pain meds indefinitely, so I searched for holistic vets who did acupuncture and was so happy to see Dr. Rose was local to us! . On our first visit, Dr. Rose did a thorough exam of Nikka and informed us that Nikka had an unusual heart murmur. A different vet at a conventional clinic that had seen Nikka just a few weeks earlier also mentioned the heart murmur but said it was very mild/quiet and didn't seem concerned about it all and didn't give us any indication that it needed to be investigated. I thought that the murmur must be no big deal based on how the first vet handled the finding. Dr. Rose immediately told us that Nikka's heart murmur was quite pronounced and unusual sounding and she gave us a lot of info and recommendations on next steps. . Well, today we took Nikka to a cardiologist where she had an ECHO and it turns out she has dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which, thankfully, has been caught early and might be able to be improved with medication and dietary changes. . Dr. Rose literally saved Nikka's life with her attention to detail, her excellent clinical skills, and her prompt and informative follow up and recommendations. I will be eternally and forever grateful to her competence and expertise. . Nikka has also had 2 sessions of acupuncture and cold laser/photobiomodulation and she definitely has more pep in her step. Nikka also loves coming to Serenity Holistic Vet, she isn't anxious or nervous and just settles right down and relaxes when the acupuncture needles are in. Dr. Rose is a gem and we are so lucky to have her here in Murrieta.
