At no point was I informed that simply answering their questions would trigger a completely separate charge of $404, even after insurance. Charging patients hundreds of dollars without transparent consent is not healthcare, it feels like a scam. Patients are already vulnerable enough when seeking medical care and turning a routine interaction into a surprise billing opportunity is unethical and predatory. To make matters worse, my original visit was on April 15, barely over a month ago, and when I called today again asking for updates and clarification, I was told that nothing can be done and if I did not pay as soon as possible, the balance would be sent to collections. I literally just had to set up a monthly payment plan because I felt like I had no choice. That is not patient care. That is financial intimidation. I would strongly caution anyone to not go here or if they do, ask EXACTLY what will be billed before saying yes to anything, because apparently even simply answering questions during your appointment can become an expensive surprise. He failed to send in the prior authorization to the insurance company. He didn't even chart the notes on my file. He failed to call in a prescription and didn't chart that request either. This incident caused all kinds of havoc with my chiropractor. Max Health gave them fake prior authorization numbers after the chiropractor called Max Health FOUR times trying to get the authorization: 2. The doctor who was listed as my primary care doctor (the screw up from #1) left Max Health yet Max Health still billed my insurance under his name even though he never saw me after that appointment listed in example #1 3. When I called the office manager trying to get the prior authorization back dated to cover my chiropractor appointments not only did they fail with the insurance company but didn't compensate the chiropractor for the services they gave because Max Health assured them there was a prior authorization when there wasn't. This office is a hot mess! From the bookkeeping to the patient care. I will never trust them with my healthcare. I would hate to imagine if I had a serious situation that needed a prior authorization that got screwed up! It could have costs me thousands of dollars! This office used to be very reliable in their care for patients but as of 2025, no more.

We scheduled a 3 month follow up. As we got closer, I had to reschedule due to my travel with work. After several, I do mean several (ie 4+) phone calls trying to reschedule, I was finally able to speak to the front office. The appointment was on a Monday and I did receive a confirmation phone call on Friday, reminding me to fast. I drove to the office Monday morning for my appointment only to find the doors locked and lights off. I called the office several times and knocked on all windows and doors. Clearly I was forgotten about. Granted, there could have been an emergency in which Dr. Pretniss was not able to come in that day, however, where was my phone call? Where was the staff??? Long story longer- don't come here unless you have lots of time and patience to waste on an unprofessional practice. Dr. Hall's approach is to advise and treat you to prevent illnesses and will allow you to improve and extend your life. Her process and care are probably something that you never experienced or knew existed. Her annual physicals include extensive blood analysis to identify hidden issues that can be corrected before they become a problem. Her specialty is heart health, but she is well versed, educated and certified in many areas of adult human physiology, and medicine. Her staff and office personnel are very pleasant, well trained, and efficiently organized. You will never wait longer than five minutes to see the doctor once you arrive for an appointment. Also, never once was I not able to book a same day appointment. This is one great benefit of having a Concierge Membership. Regarding results, I just completed my eighth year of her care and physicals. Due to her consultations and advice, my recent health report is the best it has ever been. It has been a journey, but well worth it.
