(There were many workers in the store but not many customers). We left the store. My friend encouraged me to try again. Once again my husband and I went back and tried again. The service was better but not great. I bought a few scrub bottoms and a pair of Klogs (recommendation of the salesperson). She assured me that I would like these shoes as much as I do my Danskos. When I got home I realized the salesperson had charged me $130.00 and had not given me the hospital discount. When I called back they told me that the shoes were on sale for $130.00 so I couldn't get both discounts. When I told them the box said $120.00 she told me I had an old box. She was not going to honor it but reluctantly credited my account $10 but still did not give me the hospital discount. After about 6 months of daily wear, the shoes creased at the bend on top of the shoe. I was no longer able to wear them. After paying $120.00 I expected to get more wear out of them than 6 months. A year later, my coworker had on a really nice work jacket. She said she could order one for me but in navy. She did and I also got it embroidered with our company name and my name. When it arrived it was not navy at all. It was a gray-blue. I called the store and spoke with Steve the owner. He was very mattered of fact and basically told me it was my fault for ordering it expecting it to be navy blue when the color is specifically called urban navy and that the manufacturers have different colors. I explained my friend had ordered a black one for herself and when ordering she just asked for navy thinking it was navy blue like the colors of the scrubs in his store. He said I could not return it. He did not offer me a store credit or try to fix the situation at all. I explained I wouldn't be able to wear it and would be out $96.00. His response was Oh WELL. I would have thought that with all that healthcare workers are experiencing today, a little kindness and understanding especially from a store that services healthcare workers. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this store and hopefully, my experience will help someone else not have to have the same awful experience.

They cannot sell Nike, Adidas and some other brands due to local competition, but they can get you the next best thing. Also great to use when outfitting coaches, school faculty and staff, or providing warm-up options for sports teams. We used a different company for cheerleading uniforms. We found out the week of our first game that we were not going to have our uniforms in time for the first game. I called Steve on Monday, the uniform alternative was ready by Friday. Custom fitted men's formal wear is the main order of the day at this retailer. And they do an excellent job fitting. Items are available for purchase as well as rental. Recently a group of my colleagues and I needed specialized formal wear with tails, known as morning coats, for purchase. while online options are of course available, it is easier to get a quality custom fit in person. And this is the place that was recommended to us. I couldn't have been happier. Within the past couple of years, I also purchased a formal white dinner jacket from Romanoffs, and I have been very pleased with that selection too. Fittings are normally by appointment, and there is of course some turnaround time to prepare alterations, once fitted. It is important to think about and build this into your event schedule if you are purchasing or renting something for an event. If you do need a fitting, or would like to visit, just give them a call. This is a very helpful, friendly place. I have always been pleased with my experiences here.

This consignment shop is varied and chock full. Seriously... we're talking constant clothing…read moredensity here. (Pardon while I take a little bit of geeky pride in that phrasing.......... Okay. Done. Back to business.) Deja Vu is one of those stores where you will find something.... if you look long enough. There doesn't seem to be a consistent style of clothing here, so be prepared to find examples of every era. This is the kind of place I would go if I were looking for something for a period costume and didn't have all that much time to shop. There's a ton of things here, although there is a lot of variation in quality. My biggest qualm was with the jewelry, which felt way too overexcited-about-the-holidays-and-missed-when-big-brooches-went-out-of-style-ey for me. I honestly enjoy any opportunity to point at something and giggle, but this was too easy. The coat section has some honestly gorgeous finds. I am personally not a big fan of the fur coats, but I ran in to a couple of wool ones that I would love to add to my closet. I'm going to go with the coral reef metaphor for this place: there's tons of variation and something for every animal to eat if it spends enough focused time hunting.
