This was my first time in this store ever. I thought the prices were VERY HIGH on used designer pieces. I have found much better deals at Clothes Mentor on Henderson Rd. I also didn't enjoy hearing another patron's conversation while I was shopping. I didn't really care to hear about how she is trying to sell her house yada yada yada. Personally, I think the owner should have told her to maybe step outside and finish conversation. I don't think I will be back. read more

My family and I were traveling. We are from California and stayed here in Dublin, ohio since our car broken down and I needed clothes since I didn't bring much for our trip. I found some great items. There was a good selection. The clothes were clean. Several of them were new with their original tags.

Meh, better deals at TJ Max, Gilt and Ebay. I walked in, no one greeted me although there was a woman up front. The prices on the high end bags are laughable. If you buy bags from here, you certainly are not a buyer of high end goods. The bags were very used, and they were asking for at least 2/3 of a newer style. If you are selling high end bags, use eBay. Use mypoupette.com to have it authenticated if you are buying on eBay. There are way too many tools online to buy designer bags at this price. They had a pair of used Celine sunglasses for $139 - yesterday Gilt.com was selling NEW sunglasses for $99, with a large selection. Gilt also had YSL, Cavelli, Gucci and many more designer brands to choose from. I have been shopping at the Kroger next door for years and never knew pink door existed. These ladies need to get real with their sale prices. read more

When I walked in I said hello to the older lady behind the counter not much of a response. She was busy dressing a mannequin. Three other ladies came in while I was there and she never acknowledged them either. Before leaving I said to her as she was now busy with bracelets." You are quite focused aren't you?" She answered getting everything done on the list. My suggestion for the owner would be have sales associate work with the customers in the store when you have them and do the busy work when they leave. Probably sell a lot more. read more

I dropped off 2 bags of designer clothing . Was told I would get a call which I didn't . Then I called and I guess it was the owner told me to come in and that they don't make phone calls ??? Ok. Anyway then I go there and for my 2 bags of designer clothing she only wanted 2 items and could only offer me 17 dollars????????? Ummmmmm no thank you . One was a pair of never worn Rachel Roy pants which were 90 dollars and another was a white dress from Neiman Marcus for 495 dollars . What a joke . And they don't even greet you hello when u walk in . Bad customer service . I was happy to take back all my clothes . She doesn't deserve them. read more

Just discovered this place thanks to another Yelper and so glad they hooked me up! It is in a strip mall in Dublin and you could whip right past it if you weren't looking (I mean how often do we stare at stores in strip malls while driving? Don't answer that, that's bad driving! ) but once you are in it is get your shopping fun on! They aren't a thrift store, they are a resale/consignment store. You can bring your stuff in to sell outright - they give you your money right then and there - or put them on consignment. I went in to investigate and left with some goodies (although I might try selling some stuff later). They have almost every brand you can think of in here! H&M, Talbots, Ralph Lauren, Express, Charter Club, Dana Buchman, and on and on. This is strictly a ladies shop so sorry guys. Jeans, coats, jackets, dresses, purses, jewelry, hats, shoes....you get my point. I scored two Charter Club cashmere turtleneck sweaters for $14.00 each! Sweet! Not everything is priced that low, some things were in the 20-30something dollar range and there was a leather jacket in there for 70$. It's up to you and your budget like any place else. There is a no refund but you can exchange w/in 7 days of purchase policy and shoes are always final sale. With women bringing in bags and boxes of stuff while I was there I can see me coming back here periodically. read more

This place is GREAT to buy stuff...not to sell. I was INSULTED at the prices they gave me for designer items- heard they were being trained on buying which I hope the staff takes. Clothes Mentor has more of a selection and experienced buyers- I would never take my stuff back in to sell. read more

I was very disappointed by the treatment I received when I brought items into to sell. She quickly went through my items, flopping each item on the counter saying "pass. Pass. Pass." She called one purse a "knock-off", which it wasn't. It wasn't a designer brand and I made no pretense that it was. They have every right to accept or refuse any item brought in, but there was absolutely no call for that kind of rude conduct. It made me sorry I set foot in the store. read more

I visited this and clothes mentor on the same day based on a friend's recommendation as a few items she wore that were just beautiful she purchased here and at clothes mentor. I really liked this store! It was clean and neat, easy to find what you're looking for (which is often rare when it comes to consignment stores), and beyond all else the customer service was phenomenal! The woman working there when I went in was very friendly and obliging. The only negative I saw was that some prices were a little more than I would have wanted to pay for used things. However, the items all seemed to be in great condition, most were "like new". I only wished I lived closer! read more

I took a giant basket of clothes to sell here, I was given no instructions on their protocol and I had to call a day later to figure it out. The woman was very rude and informed me they were not taking ANY of my things. I didnt expect them to take it all, but I had a lot of nice tops from The Limited and Loft. I had to have my mom go pick my things up since they donate them if you don't pick them up within 2 days and I live far away, when she showed up at the 10am which is what their hours online said, there was a sign on the door that said their new hours and that they dont open til 10:30. My mom went back at 10:30 and the woman wouldn't let her in and said she still had five more minutes til they opened and was very rude. Bad employees, bad business. They pick terrible used clothes and sell them for way too much. Sell your things on eBay. read more

Do not consign here. I dropped a couple of BOXES of designer handbags to be consigned. The owner accepted all of them but said it could take a while for them to sell. A couple of months later I stopped in to see if any had sold. The owner said I could have a check for the few that did sell, but that I should leave the unsold items longer and give them more time. I didn't see them out for sale at that point and when I questioned her, she replied they were seasonal and stored in her back storeroom. Another month or two goes by and I stop in again to see the status. Even though I never received a phone call to pick up a check - most all of my bags sold! As we tally up the inventory I realize not all bags are accounted for plus I was being paid a fraction of the already low consignment fee. When questioned why my commission was so low, I was told in a snarky way, by the owner, that they have been there so long they were reduced in price to sell. That was never the agreement. I offered to take the unsold bags home the first time I checked in. SHE insisted I leave them because it could take a while for all of them to sell based on seasons. She essentially stole a fortune worth of bags from me and kept the profit. The prices she quoted me to sell them to begin with, she said were based on ebay prices, which are notoriously low to begin with. I should have made close to a thousand dollars even with the low commission and selling price, but ended up with under $200.00 for everything. I asked for the remaining items back at that point and received 2-3 small things that weren't worth as much. This is not a place to sell anything of value. You are way better off with eBay and take your chances of being ripped off with one bag instead of your whole collection with no recourse. read more

I was in Dublin, Ohio for the Fourth of July weekend 2014 for the first time for a family reunion. We stayed in the Embassy Hotel right across the street from the "Pink Door". This is how I found this little gem of a consignment shop; I needed some Wool-lite to wash a silk JCrew dress I brought from my home town of Rochester, New York. I walked passed on my way to CVS and when I looked in through the window I knew July 5th when they were open for business I was going to make it my business to get in and find a thing or maybe even two. The following day I was in; I found an Eddie Bauer tunic $8, a pair of black suede kitten heel sling backs $13 (Talbots) and a pair of pewter leather Coach and Four loafers $12 (never before worn). What a great place and the decor is the absolute cutest as is the name. When I went back to the hotel and bragged on my finds my cousin asked if I would go w/her and perhaps buy her a little something, something. Of course I went back and indeed she found something; a little multicolored halter dress$16. AWESOME! The owner is a complete joy and the sales clerk that assisted us the second go 'round was just as friednly and helpful. If I'm ever in Dublin, Ohio again rest assured I'll be going to the "Pink Door' again if they are still there. Thanks for supplying us women who want to dress and look great and not spend a fortune such a gem of a boutique and thanks for being such a complete people person who cares about the customer YOUR customer. It is hard to understand how and what they will buy from you. Was surprised that Old Navy was purchased but other name brands were not.

First let me say, I am a believer in consignment shops. I've never felt I was too good to shop second hand as long it's authentic and in good condition. I purchased a authentic LV Alma from the pink door last year. It is a beautiful bag and was in superb condition. After carrying the bag only a handful of times I decided to resell the bag this past winter. Because of the color of the bag Melanie (the owner) told me to bring the bag b in the spring/summer and they would gladly sell the bag. Also during that visit Melanie and one of her workers mentioned that the original owner of the bag questioned the authenticity of the bag. They kept saying "yeah that's the bag we thought was fake". After they said a couple of time, I inquired as to what they meant. Melanie assured me that the bag had been authenticated and to remember to bring the bag to resell in the spring/summer. Of course, the fact that there was a question on authenticity stayed in the back of my mind. It frankly bother me, because I generally go to LV or Saks to purchase my bag. I'm simply saying authenticity means a lot to me. No that spring/summer is here, I decided to take my bag to another consignment store. Let me say, this store has been in business for over 20 years and has a very good reputation. The owner is very particular on the items she takes in, and will only take authentic bags. I was told there was a question of authenticity of my bag, and basically, she would not be able to sell it. That didn't really sit right with. There were several reasons this bother me, 1. being it was fake, 2. I paid over $600 for the bag, and 3. I would never carry it again. I decided to reach out to the owner of The Pink Door. I spoke with Melanie, and once I told her who I was, she quickly remembered the bag and our conversation. I explained to her that the bag was not authentic and reminded her of her and her workers past concern on the authenticity. Melanie told me that the owner of the bag, authenticated the bag. I asked Melanie how does a consignment store allow the owner of an item authenticate anything. It is the store responsibility to make sure that they are selling authentic items, especially when on their website it state "Do you guarantee authenticity of brands? 100% Authenticity Guaranteed on all Designer items we sell at PINK DOOR." I told Melanie that I was going to file a complaint against the Pink Door for portraying items as authentic. I was giving her the courtesy to hopefully correct the situation. I didn't ask for anything, just wanted to how she was going to respond. Melanie said she was not the owner at the time, but any employee when I purchased the bag. I explained, that I understood, however it is the same business with same employees. I was very nice to her never raising my voice, I just told my position. I told her to have a nice day, and as we were hanging up she called me a "BITCH". I was shocked and appalled by this. I decided to call back to the store and make her aware that I heard the name she chose to call me. She didn't much to say and was shocked that I heard her. I want consumers to be aware of the unprofessionalism of the owner at the PINK DOOR. I also wan customers to be cautious when purchasing designer handbags from the PINK DOOR, when they claim authenticity. Melanie, I want you to know how very disrespectful you were, and I didn't deserve it. For that I will complain and review the PINK DOOR on the BBB and any other online review outlet. I am also going to contact NARTS and any other consignment associations and let them know how you operate your business. read more

I was in the area from out of town for a conference at a nearby hotel where the conference rooms were FREEZING. A collegue let me know about this cute consignment shop in the strip mall near our hotel. I went over on my lunch break and within 15 minutes found two sweaters that were perfect for my needs. The store is very well organized by style and size and had a great selection for all shapes and sizes. Definitely wish I had one of these in my area. read more
