Not just a little sticky on the floor, or dust on the shelves. I don't know what it is, but like, the air feels dirty. I've still shopped here but by doing curbside pick up. Walking around their store just makes me depressed. There have been a lot of mistakes when I order my groceries through their app. They usually either don't give me a few of my items, or I get random ones that must have been from someone else's order. I've overlooked it so far and tried not to let it stress me out completely. But last weekend when I ordered groceries, it was just the final straw. Their employees (most not all) are extremely rude and incompetent. I get there to pick up my order, and the guy loads the groceries before telling me that their "terminals" are broken and he will have to take my EBT card into the store to swipe it. I had two things that were not food items and wouldn't be covered by my EBT card, and told him they'd need paid for with my debit card. He said Okay, and asked for the PIN numbers. I didn't mind giving the one for my EBT card, because it's just the pandemic EBT card and really, no one is going to do much with that. But I never never give away my debit card PIN number, and it's a PIN I use for several different things. So I told him that. He said, Okay, then I'll run it as credit. I said okay. Throughout my wait, I dealt with 3, all very rude, employees. They continued to treat me like a "Karen," like I was making their minimum wage job so hard on them, by being difficult. YET. They wanted to run my debit card as credit, I said Okay. They said it wouldn't work, I offered cash. They said No, we can't accept cash. I offered to return the items, they didn't respond but walked away for more deliberation. They said I'd have to go into the store to pay, I said Okay. Then they asked if they could use the debit card that I had on file with the app from where I've ordered before, and I said Sure. Finally they come back out with my debit card and say, never mind, we got it to run as credit... So they did a lot wrong in my opinion on this trip. Asking for my personal identification number. Their terminals broken down. Rude staff. Wait time, made even longer by their indecisiveness. I was completely offended and annoyed. Especially at the fact that they acted like I was the one being difficult by not giving out my private info, when I was agreeable to anything else that they suggested! I'll do my shopping elsewhere to avoid this kind of aggravation again and recommend that others do as well. But to each their own.

It was Sunday so options were limited and, I HAD to replace the tire. All SEEMED well when I left, there was a bit of a shimmy but, it was my first road trip in this vehicle so I didn't think much of it. Made it to Atlanta and parked the car for the two weeks I was there. I had a rental for work and parked next to my truck every night. On the way back, the truck started shaking badly. I pulled over on the highway thinking I had a flat. Nothing. Checked the suspension, all looked fine. Tried to go a little bit and the truck just shook. I had it towed to Pep Boys. As the mechanic was pulling it into the garage, another guy came running out, waving his arms, yelling. My wheel, the one THIS WALMART replaced, was ready to fall off. It had two sheared lug posts and the remaining lugs were very ready to go. The wheel had been improperly seated by WALMART I had to pay for the repair AND a hotel for the two days I had to spend waiting on a new wheel. My wheel was ruined, the holes were bored out, making it useless. Not to mention the HUGE SAFETY RISK this put me in. Pep Boys got me all fixed up and back on the road. When I stopped at this location to see about them reimbursing me for the repairs, replacement wheel and lost days, they offered me $350. About a third of my total out of pocket. I told them that was unacceptable and we filled out the claim paperwork. Their claims guy called, I explained what had happened and he said he'd look into it. I have a job. A pretty good job. I was not looking to rip them off, I don't need to. I wasn't doing a "slip and fall" wanting them to buy me a house. I got REMARKABLY BAD SERVICE THAT COULD HAVE(luckily it didn't) KILLED ME!! I wanted them to make it right. That is all. I didn't ask for ANYTHING. I would have settled for just my out of pocket but, the video showed the guy torquing the lugs so, NOTHING. They claim NO FAULT AND I AM OUT ALMOST $1200!?! Needless to say, I am in the process of suing them now. If you mess up to the degree they did, SOMEBODY has to make it right. Especially when all that is being asked is what it cost me to repair YOUR BAD SERVICE!!

Jungle Jim's International Market is truly unlike any store I have ever been. It is hard to describe, but it is a grocery store, international market, restaurant, bar, and more, but all on steroids. They even have their own podcast! There are so many sections and areas in this store, that if you truly took your time to shop, it would probably take an entire day to see and experience it all. It is a must-stop if you are visiting Cincinnati, or are local to the area and have never been. There are two locations of this business, but we visited the Eastgate one this time. It specifically is located on Eastgate S Drive, in a strip with a few other businesses on each end. This is in the heart of the business district for the area, so it is not hard to locate and navigate to. The signage on the front facade is huge, colorful, and distinct. There is even a tram-type vehicle suspended above the street, so you will not miss it. Since this is in a business-heavy area, there is a ton of parking all around. We visited on a Saturday, and the parking lot out front was quite busy, but we still had no issue finding a spot just a minute or two walk away from the entrance. Once you walk in, that is when the fun begins. There is so much going on throughout the entire store, but in a good way. Similarly to a typical grocery store, there are different departments and areas for different items. However, the size of everything here is so much more grand. Each section could truly be its own store, given both the footprint and the variety of items available for purchase. This goes for both the "normal" grocery areas, as well as the international and specialty items. Not only is the variety of items available impressive, but the manner in which they are displayed is also very appealing. Each area is decorated with large displays and signage that hang from the ceiling, giving the whole place a whimsical and fun atmosphere. It is fun to not only shop the products, but see what kind of decor and sculptures will find you in the next area. I loved the beehive with rotating bees in the honey section! In addition to grocery and other food items, there are sections with cookwares, beer/wine/alcohol, cigars, clothing, pet items, seasonal items, and much more. I am sure you could do your regular grocery trip here, but it might take you a little longer due to both the size of the store and desire to peruse all of the different items they have! Another fun aspect of Jungle Jim's is the variety of dining options. There are several places to purchase prepared foods, most of them being around the bar area. There is also a Sushi section near the main entrance. The full-service bar offers different tastings, weekly specials, alcoholic slushies, and much more. We took some time to enjoy a brew during our visit. It was fun to walk around and shop while enjoying some beer. The store has different areas and stations for tastings, samples, demos, and events. They have an entire calendar on the website that outlines some of the various tastings and events they have monthly. Some of my favorite sections in the store were the Bakery and the Sauce/Spice area. The Bakery has many different fun and unique items that they make themselves. There are also different vendors and other local businesses featured not only in the bakery, but throughout the store. As far as the Sauce section, I truly have never seen so much hot sauce variety in my life. It is really fun to look around here and find something that you did not even know existed. The service here was very good overall. There are a lot of employees, and everyone we interacted with was helpful. Tons of checkout lines were open, and we did not have to wait super long to make our purchases. The bar had a slightly long line, but it was not terrible. There are some good values to be found here, if you look in the right places. I would definitely look at both the weekly ad and signage around to find some good deals. On our visit, I found some energy drinks for about $1 a can, which is a very good price. Some things will be more expensive, given that it is an international market, but overall I thought the pricing was fair for most items. This is a must if you are in Cincinnati for any length of time. Definitely budget a few hours if you want to look around and see all the store has to offer. I would advise grabbing a cart and your walking shoes, because the store is very large. I always love coming here and checking out the selection, even if I am not necessarily hunting for anything specific. The first experience shopping is almost overwhelming - it doesn't feel that big at first but it just keeps going and going and going. You can find some crazy deals scattered around. The rear entrance takes you directly to the (huge) liquor section, with a full bar where you can grab a drink while you shop. I recently heard about the story of Jungle Jim's starting as just a humble food stand in the 70s, which over time expanded to the attraction that it is today. It's not every day you see a store this size that's not owned by a billion-dollar international corporation. They're Cincinnati locals, family owned, made their success, and continue to provide value and entertainment to the families that visit. It's great to see. In the back are a couple tables and up front you can order pizza! They serve Hunt Brothers pizza, which seems popular at the local 'groceries'.
