The group we had were very professional and polite. It was 4 persons to pack at first home and 2 when they got to our second. I'm sure if I didn't help them they would have been here a lot more hours. We have heard a lot of horror stories about movers. Just make sure you look at the list you gave them before you sign. Its a shitty business practice many of these guys have. Tell you one price and and leave off some heavy shit off the list on purpose so they can say well you signed the contract. These guys were kind and did not do that to me. Just buyer beware. They are out there and a common practice by this type of service. Moved us from Fl to VA. These guys just moved my parents. Their move has been incredibly challenging with the banks. Bill was accommodating and kind with every interaction with my parents. He had solutions when my parents had issues and didn't know how to proceed. These guys moved my mothers precious items like it belonged to their mother. If giving '0' Stars was an option I ABSOLUTELY would! Lee (the owner) is impossible to get a hold! If you don't ask all your questions at the beginning, then you better just forget it! We were told the movers would handle certain things--which they did not--and would be arriving around noon. They were six hours late! We didn't know they were going to be this late until we called several times to get the information ourselves from Lee and Tom. When the movers did finally arrive, one was beyond rude and extremely unprofessional! We made no comments at the time because the gentlemen would then have possession of our items. I then needed an invoice, since my job funded our move, and it must have taken at least 5 phone calls (with no return calls) and an email to both Lee and Tom. Only to get the invoice from a totally different person who doesn't even work for the moving company. When we finally did receive the invoice it was OVER $1,000 what we were originally quoted--without any explanation! Of course several emails and phone calls were made to inquire about the $1,000+ up charges, but to no avail. Drop off several weeks later, was not nearly as bad as the pick up. The two gentlemen were much more professional and helpful. But the unpacking process has been HORRIFIC! We are about 75% done and so far have accumulated $300 worth of broken, damaged, or missing items. We have called and emailed several to discuss with Lee and of course have gotten absolutely NO response! If you can help it go with ANYONE ELSE!!! What an absolutely terrible experience. read more

We filed a claim with your insurance carrier and they denied it with the lame explanation that the items were stollen from the house and were not in "your custody" but you were the only people who had access to the house. Our property did not walk out of the house on its own. Just more lies and excuses. read more

I have used Lee's several times. The last time was January 20, 2016 to move a new 850# Spa from the driveway to inside a screened lanai at the back of house; and carefully lay it into position. Lee was quick to respond to my initial call. The Lee Team was right on schedule and did an excellent job with a very heavy and clumsy item. The Spa was laid down exactly where I wanted it and nary a scratch. read more

Did not show up to pick up my load, I lost almost two grand in furniture because he did not come when he said he would (my brother waited for almost four hours after he was supposed to be there). Lee's Moving and Sons moved the contents of my father's home into storage. It was quite complex as some items were going into storage and other items had to be retrievable to put into a motor home, and some items were to be left as he was taking them in his van up north. They padded and arranged all of the furniture carefully to avoid scratching the finishes. They were very efficient, fast, friendly, and respectful. They also secured a piano into a U-Haul trailer I brought at no extra charge. Moving is stressful but Lee's Moving and Sons made it a good experience. I would highly recommend them. read more

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! I have had nothing but problems....my "estimate" ?! Not even close! They scratched my $4000 Ashley Furniture bedroom set & also took a nice chunk out of the wood....which has never been taken care of because the only time you will see Lee is when his smiling face is giving you his low-ball to get your business estimate! They broke my 50" television....told me that I did it, even tho Lee's 2nd in command--TOM--picked it up & told us they would take it to be fixed. That was over 6 weeks ago & I have never seen my tv again! The only way I can get either of them to answer my phone calls is to call from a number they do not know....and then they hang up on me. I think that my so-called "BROKEN" television is either hanging on the wall-- WITH MY WALL MOUNT STILL ATTACHED TO IT--- I might add, at either Lee's home in Hernando Beach or Tom's home. I am currently in the process of filing a police report for the theft of my television. Lee (the owner came to my house) and assured me that he was onsite during moves to ensure that all went smoothly. I took the time to go by their carbon copy list of what items were being moved and in THEIR order, typed what room EACH item went into - where it to be placed - all detailed out and made 6 copies, stapled. Three movers showed up 3 hrs. later than when scheduled. Tom called me at 8 am (after I woke up at 4 am to prepare for this to happen at LEE's appointed time) and told me that they had NOT finished up a job the night before and he had just learned that they needed to finish that job first; and then would be over to my house afterwards (however, I learned from the workers that at the END of EVERY day they MUST call into Tom or Lee and let them know the status of their day - so they were AWARE the night before). Now, I'm disabled; so to get up at 4 am was with GREAT EFFORT. The furniture was shrink wrapped (and the majority of it is still today; I guess they wrap but in their fee - they don't count UNWRAPPING-as I volunteered to pick up the balls of wrapping as they were throwing them all over the floors and I didn't want to trip) but I didn't mean they didn't have to unwrap them. But I still have office furniture in my garage. Their large truck had a problem; so these three movers (Andrew, his brother John and Keith?) had to rent a SMALL U-Haul truck to do my job and it took 3 trips - a LONG nightmare of a day because we had to continue to drive back & forth and apparently they could NOT follow TYPED instructions as to WHERE each item went (I had the room/which wall/facing what direction, etc). I was charged for items that were not moved, etc. The movers did not have tools with them (since they did not have their "normal truck" and BORROWED two pliers from me to disconnect the Washer - however, they took BOTH pliers with them. So I was DRASTICALLY overcharged for items NOT moved (Lee was to purchase a gas dryer from me -yet charged me to move it-and then did NOT come to the move at all); so items were NOT moved -yet I was charged for them; I STILL have items in my garage that were NOT moved into the house. I bent over backwards to help these guys, folded their blankets, got cold water for them and did a ton of work WITH them getting their dollies (as they left them every where -wrong house, etc) - we had to use MY personal equipment. The day was LONG and a total debacle. Would I use them again, when they did NOT complete the job, I still have to hire people to FINISH items that were on their list, I was charged for a King Size Mattress cover (which they stated they had) and yet I had THREE Brand New (still in package) sofa covers on the sofa's for the guys to use -and they did NOT - overall, very pleasant movers but I would NOT recommend. It didn't matter HOW organized I had it, how self explanatory I had it typed out where EVERY single item went - I never sat down ALL day long and am 100% disabled because all I heard was "Where does this go" - my house has furniture 8" away from the wall, furniture THEY took apart not put together; mattress they were to move (per Tom) NOT MOVED - it was a long, hot, miserable NIGHTMARE of a day - from starting late, to Tom LYING to me 100%; for them showing up with an undersized truck; apparently they CANNOT read instructions and instead have to badger the homeowner the ENTIRE 6+ hrs - I would NEVER recommend. Perhaps I got them on a bad day; but from being promised that the owner of the company was present on the job site when he came to do the walk-thru to the very end of the day when the workers left with my PERSONAL BELONGINGS (pliersof mine) - I am NOT a satisfied customer - not at all! I need to hire others to fix what Lee's Moving Company was paid to do; go purchase two more pliers (as you would think they would have noticed and returned within the past 5 days I waited before writing this) but failed to do AND but was "overcharged" to complete this disastrous day - overall a total FAILURE! Look elsewhere - there are SO many other options. I certainly learned a lot about the movers life, brothers working together, how many kids each had, where each lived, what they made per hour (very pleasant workers);but what it comes to DETAILS and READING the LIST of WHERE exactly the items are to go & the job getting done even 90% - didn't happen at all; maybe 75% and overcharged for items/things that were NOT provided to me and items that they NEVER moved. I believe I am OWED a REFUND from Lee's Moving Service without any hesitation on their part. read more
