I initially reached out for a moving quote and was provided a price of $261 by Alamardo. Wanting to confirm the details, I called the store and spoke with another representative who advised that he would need to review the quote with his manager and would call me back. Unfortunately, I never received that follow-up. The following day, I received an updated quote via email for over $1,000. When I called the store for clarification, I was told that the original quote should not have been given and that the correct cost would be closer to $1,000 for moving just eight pieces of furniture, all of which were already disassembled, from point A to point B. This level of inconsistency is extremely frustrating. Being quoted one price and then receiving a revised estimate that is nearly three times higher without explanation is unacceptable. Additionally, the representative I spoke with was neither apologetic nor helpful in addressing my concerns, which only added to the disappointment. I would have appreciated clear, accurate pricing from the beginning, along with better communication and customer service throughout the process. read more

I hired B&T moving for my latest (and hopefully last) move. They were on time and professional. I have to take two stars away because they damaged part of my wall when moving something, and nobody apologized or tried to clean up the drywall that was missing from the corner of my stairway. My original estimate was a deal through Angi's List and the total cost ended up being 5 hours of work for a pretty penny. UPDATE- B&T dutifully reached out and offered to repair the damage incurred during my move! I fully recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable moving service. Very polite movers but I have to leave a review for others. They are not efficient. 2 bedroom apartment on 5th floor moved to 2 bedroom on. 6th floor 4 blocks down and it cost $1500. Quoted $900. They didn't break a sweat and milked this small move down the street for everything they could. So don't believe the quotes. I have never seen a two bedroom move take 8 hours when it's 3 min down the street. Not to mention I labeled all the boxes either room 1 or 2 and they just put everything in the wrong rooms so I'm here a day later still moving everything around cuz I can only lift so much my back is messed up so I feel like I paid 1500$ just to move everything myself. They brought the right number of people for each job, they were professional and they handled my stuff like it was their own (nothing broken or damaged in either move - including the new house). They even figured out how to get a large piece of furniture up a tight stairwell. My movers were Jose, Henry, Stanislav, Jay, Jordy and Juan (I may have forgotten a few) - and they all were great! Office support was responsive and went above expectations. So flexible in getting us moved. We called for move date options and they gave us dates the next week and one was a Sunday. I called back on Saturday and they made Sunday (next day) happen. Move crew, led by Jose were amazing. Wrapped furniture tight to load. Unloading they were more than accommodating to every ask we had. I even messed up on where I wanted a rug and then realized after the set up a heavy bed that the rug needed to go under it. They did it. It rained for a bit so the team helped us put stands on TV's that they didn't disassemble. I can't say enough about this company and their team. Moving is truly one of the most stressful experiences to me. I had to move from a storage unit to another storage unit and was absolutely dreading this. I came on Yelp to find a highly rated moving company and found B&T. They were the first to get back to me with a quote and were incredibly responsive the entire process. My initial move date was scheduled for 12/13 between 2-5pm. They texted me a little after my move window began that the crew scheduled to work with me was delayed at their earlier move and it would be taking longer than expected. They were able to move the start window back to between 5-7pm. I told them I didn't feel comfortable being at the storage units after dark, and that I'd like to reschedule. They were understanding and worked with me on a new date where my move start time would be an exact time, rather than a window of a couple hours. They also offered me a 5% coupon for the trouble - it was awesome service! On my new move date 12/20, I received a call a couple hours before my move time asking if I would be ready earlier. I wasn't, which was not a problem. They arrived exactly at 3pm as discussed. The move only took an hour and 45 minutes - both movers were very helpful, friendly, and respectful, and had smiles on their faces the whole time! The process was seamless - communication via text and email with reminders, quick responses, detailed quote, great service. The crew members Jose, Henry, and Matvei were fantastic. I never used movers before, but due to an injury my boyfriend has we would not have been able to really move our bigger furniture pieces by ourselves. Jose was in contact with me early in the morning to confirm they were on our way. They hit traffic and notified me they were going to be a bit behind, but he kept me in the loop the whole time. They were not even that late, only about 15 minutes I would say. Jose made sure to capture my signature acknowledging the time they were going to be getting started which would start the clock of the moving time charges. Prior to getting started, they asked us if we wanted every piece of furniture to be protected, meaning to wrap it in furniture pads and wrapping. We opted for almost all the furniture to be protected. They explained that it just adds additional time as the wrapping process takes a bit. I am appreciative that they explained things ahead of time. And while they were wrapping the furniture they made sure to check with us about furniture pieces that already had nicks or were wobbly. They worked super hard as our originating apartment did not have an elevator and were on the third floor. After they packed up our old apartment, they stopped the timer and went to lunch, which worked out since it gave us time to get to our new place as well. They took less time than they said with lunch, got right back to it at our new place, which was much easier as it has an elevator. They kept us updated about the two pieces of furniture that were wobbly. They did a great job disassembling and reassembling the furniture that required it. When it came time for payment, everything was very transparent and seamless. I am very appreciative to their work and there were no major damages or problems. All the furniture arrived in great condition and they were good about dis-assembling and re-assembling beds and our sectional sofa. The move took just over 3 hours with a medium size truck.
