A trip to Lees' Pet Supply on Francisco Drive in El Dorado Hills was made over the holidays to pick up bird seed. I have been wanting to check out this newer location brought to you by the people who own long time business, Lees' Feed and Western Wear in Shingle Springs. (See my review.) A fraction of the size of the Shingle Springs Lees, this store focuses strictly on pet supplies. Yes, there are other items like bird seed to round out the inventory. A welcome addition is a dog washing area that looked well thought out and very clean. Rabies vaccination required... which keeps everyone safe. Shampoo and unlimited towels included for $15. This small store in a large shopping center packs a lot of merchandise in a well organized and clean manner. Lots of fun stuff too. "Pupcakes" for your best friend's birthday. So cute!!! Even deer "blocks". And nutrious ones according to the ingredient listing. Customer service was friendly, engaging and most helpful. Zack was on point answering my bird feed questions. He signed me up for the reward's program because I plan on returning regularly for seed. So thanks, Zack, for telling me about that option. Saving money is always a good thing. In summary... I go here often to bathe my dog. I've been going here since they first opened. They have a great wash station for the dogs but what sets them apart is Leslie. When she started, the place changed for the better. She changed the dog wash station for the better and she is just the sweetest person ever! She always remembers mine and my dog's name. I'm always buying toys and snacks every time I'm in too but I mainly go for the wash. Thank you Leslie for making it so awesome! read more

I visited Lee's Pet Supply for the first time today, and I had a very positive experience. I was greeted by the manager, Cassidy. Friendly service wish they had more of a variety for cat food and litter. Seems like this store is more focused on dogs.

This is for the dog washing experience ONLY. It's a pretty small area in the back with 3 tubs squeezed in, Its far too tiny of a space when all tubs are being utilized! They will literally only let you use ONE towel, and then will charge you $2 for any other towel you use. Do they really think 1 towel is going to dry an entire dog? My dog was still soaking wet when we left. Not a very good experience overall, I don't think we will be back. read more

I brought my dog in to use the self wash station. She had lost the use of her back legs and had also become incontinent and was getting her last bath before we had to put her down. As I walked to the front to pay, I became very emotional. The 2 young ladies working asked if I was okay and I lost my composure. Hands down my go to feed store! Hay quality is always good, huge supply of all sorts of dog and cat food and staff if friendly and professional. I was missing a bag of grain off my last order and they looked it up and made sure I got a free bag this time. Great selection of good dog food no cheap stuff. Seems really well ran and super clean. Love the special parking spots for customers and how they try to give you a samples. When I was there they had two dogs running around which was really nice to see and were really well cared for. I'm assuming that was one of the employees dogs. It's expensive but it's local and it's good dog food. I love supporting that and generally a few dollars more than some other place so who cares. 4/5 employees really try to help out which is great. I love there dog bags as I actually specifically wanted to one. So I hope this places does well as one other pet food place closed down. I can see how they really invested a lot into the place crossing my fingers. read more

I'm 9 months pregnant and overdue, so getting out of the house is not an easy task at this point. But my animals still have to eat, so I called to make sure that they had crickets in stock BEFORE I made the trip. The girl that answered said yes they did so I haul my very pregnant self down there and when I get there, they were out of crickets. Was not very satisfied. It would have been 100% better if she had gave me the correct info the first time around so I didn't waste the very little energy I had. read more

Lee's Feed in Shingle Springs is great, the one in EDH, not so much. I had to return a small item I had purchased at the Shingle Springs store while buying $50 worth of dog food in El Dorado Hills. They refused saying it wasn't in their inventory. Did they not transfer things from store to store? Yes, but they didn't have that particular item in that particular store. Really? I even talked to the "manager" at that moment, a bleached, lime-green haired girl with piercings - I knew that kids do not have any customer service skills and was I ever right! That girl could have refunded me the $6 and they could have gotten five stars and a rave review, but no, instead she proved that she was "right" and got one star. Well done, Green Girl! I was in a hurry or I wouldn't have purchased the food. Next time I'm going to Bark Avenue instead. read more

I was happy to see this store go into El Dorado Hills and even happier that it is a family owned business. My 5 star review is for the personal attention I have received there. After getting a devastating prognosis for our 7 year old lab, I went in to buy him treats and goodies. The owner came out from behind the counter and personally walked around with me, helping me pick out special treats for my dog. And he offered me the CBD oils which have been working really well for our sweet boy. He was compassionate and kind, and went out of his way to help. Customer for life. read more
