My first impression of her wasn't the best. First of all she looked stressed and not very friendly. But I decided to give her a chance-maybe she was just having a bad day. When I ask how long it's going to take, I was told about 2-3hours. After three hours I returned , she told me she didn't get a chance to start on my dog yet and that she was the only groomer there because they over booked. No apologies and she looked annoyed I even asked her that. At that point I was beyond pissed off, I asked to speak to a manager. When the manager arrived, she went look at the system to see what's going on. Then at the point I said please give my dog back, we will go somewhere else. It's wild to be to make a dog sit there in a crate for over 3 hours because they are too incompetent to let the customers know in advance they over booked and if we want to stay or wait for another day. Then the manager told me I have to pay before they can give me my dog. I said that's fine I will pay for shampoo - not sure why they shampoo my dog and not giving him the haircut after. This is such a dump in such a high end location. I would give them a zero star if I could.

Instead of being welcomed, we were completely ignored. 3 volunteers stood together laughing, talking loudly, and watching a YouTube video on a phone while clearly noticing us and other visitors. No greeting nor acknowledgment--just uncomfortable looks as if we were bothering them when they're the ones who chose to volunteer. Ironic? When we tried to look at the cats, the behavior continued. One volunteer deliberately blocked our view, and there was zero effort to engage or provide information. We watched other potential adopters walk away as well. I hope PetSmart will reconsider which organization hosts their adoptions, because this was such a bad look for PetSmart and Fat Kitty City Humane Society. The store employees were genuinely kind and helpful, and when I raised the issue, a PetSmart associate even suggested looking into Front Street Shelter or Bradshaw Shelter instead, mentioning that she has heard similar complaints from other customers about these same volunteers. Unfortunately, these 3 volunteers are just tarnishing Fat Kitty City's purpose and goals.

A great place in El Dorado Hills town center that offers a wide selection of premium cat and dog…read morefoods, raw diets, pet treats, grooming and a smaller selection of small animal foods for rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs etc. They have a wide selection of raw freeze dried foods and refrigerated foods. Large, clean well lit interior with well stocked shelves and a grooming department in the stores rear. We came in for some specific cat treats and Timothy hay for our rabbit. We don't shop here frequently but we may start coming by more regularly. If you buy pet "junk food" typically you may not feel inclined to buy here as those lower end cheap products aren't sold here (think products like Alpo, Friskies, and pet foods sold at grocery stores). The premium foods are expensive, there's no way around that fact. But for people like me who highly value their pets, cost is only one of many considerations along with ingredient quality, superior nutrition and pet longevity and health. We have always used premium products so we understand the cost.

Service totally rocks at Lees' Feed in Shingle Springs! I had barely walked into the store and a…read morenice young man offered assistance. Wow! Thanks for that. And by the way... I was more than happy to take that help. Lees' is HUGH! And I mean that in a very good way. Off the bat I noticed how clean and really organized all the inventory is. And so well lit as you can see from my photos. All I needed was bird seed. I buy it in big bags because my birds are like turkeys. They gobble it up. Neighbors had told me about Lees' and said they carried quality animal products and the prices were reasonable. After perusing lottsa bird feed choices... I chose one I wanted to try. A mixture of sunflower chips and nyjer. I have not seen it sold anywhere else... btw. Finches LOVE this stuff. Early Christmas for my birdies!:). I so wanted to take some time and wander around this incredible store. It was like Disneyland for animals. But I had another commitment. Darn! I understand this is a long-time family owned business. Father now to son owner. And one customer told me as I was in line to pay that everyone in El Dorado County comes to Lees' for their animal/pet needs! They sell Western Wear! Yee-ha! You have to be grateful for a family venture such as Lees'. Such a community resource. Easy parking and who knew... a smaller, newer version of Lees' located in El Dorado Hills I will be back.
