I've had the misfortune of having my car rear-end with somebody I worked with. Unfortunately when…read moremy car got rear-ended, it happened to have hit two panels of my side door. Great. The person who hit my car offered to pay for it. Since I knew them, we decided not to get insurance involved because it was a dent on my car... I've been in worse. I had to get a quote to see how much it would cost to fix the car. I decided to go to the dealership, as they do my oil changes and have done a relatively good job with it. The dealership said it would cost them $2000. To me, I thought that was unreasonable. I knew it would be expensive, but not that expensive. I understand somebody else is paying for it but it was just way too much to fix a dent on my car. The dealership was explaining that they had to completely replace the doors and take out everything from the side mirrors, and because it was 2 doors, that's the reason why it was that much. I knew I could get a much better quote, which is why I decided to go somewhere else. My cousin recommended Car Wings Auto as he's gotten his car fixed there multiple times and they've done a relatively good job with it. They do speak Chinese and English, although it's probably better if you can speak Chinese. Koiston Yu decided to look at my car. I told him about the dealership deal, and he said he could fix it for $600. He only had to look at it for a few minutes and it's a much better deal than the dealership! Eventually my car got fixed and it was nice and shiny again. They brushed up the interior of the car a bit which was great too! Just when you drive there, be careful as there are a lot of cars in the plaza and the parking is very limited. This is primarily because in that plaza, it's mainly auto shops there. If any of you get into a minor car accident and need your car fixed - Car Wings Auto is the place to go! (However, let's hope your car doesn't end up in this situation to begin with)

Very flexible when it comes time to book an appointment. He works hard and majority of the time by himself. Oh and his pricing is very reasonable.

He was friendly with me on my first visit, but was rather cold on the second. When I said that I want to disconnect a theft-protection sensor under the hood (a common practice for Mazdas of this generation), he explained to me that it is not easy to do and told me to go home and do it in my spare time. - Well, why would I drive there in the first place if I wanted to do the dirty jobs myself? I said I also want to check the transmission mount, but he interjected that the next customer was already waiting for him. He didn't follow up if I wanted to schedule another appointment. Second, the wait times and punctuality. Both times I visited him I arrived on time. Both times I had to wait while he was busy with something else or taking calls. And that's another thing: he doesn't have a secretary, so he has to take calls which sometimes last 15 minutes. On my second visit the job (replacing the horn) took him about 15 minutes. Another 55 minutes were spent with me waiting while he was in his "office". Third, the sneaky pricing. On my first visit he told me the labor would be 70 CAD, on the second visit it was suddenly 75 CAD. And that's in addition to the 60 CAD diagnostic charge for this trivial problem after my first visit. All in all, I paid 152 CAD for labor alone for replacing a faulty car horn. Not too bad, actually, in Toronto prices. But, unfortunately, I will not be coming back with the rest of the issues my car has accumulated over the years.
