Recently, he went above and beyond by generously sharing his knowledge about what was covered under Mercedes' warranty, saving me over $1,500 CAD on a repair. WARNING! It's Rare…read moreto find a garage that wont take advantage of a customer. This one was no different, Calling in I asked if they had a part to fix the rear passenger shock mount as it had failed due to wear. A 20$ Item, 3 screws easily accessible, and 10 minutes of work with an impact driver and WD-40. After calling i was LIED to when the front desk had said that the shock i was looking for was fused and the 20$ part unfortunately has to be a 150$ entire shock replacement as well as an estimate of maximum 100$ for the labour. I took his word for it and agreed to the service.... little did I know.... this was not the case. I asked for my old part back and easily popped off the mount from the rubber gasket and made mention that I must not have had the "factory model" he talked about over the phone. Alas, after lying again and saying Mazda doesn't sell it separately, he shortly corrected himself a minute later saying that they do not buy them separately (no need to get it from Mazda, Napa sells the same KYB mount (Mazda's factory shock choice) or dorman substitute). Irregardless charging me 50$ more than the cost of the suspension. valuing his mechanics service at 300$/hr (took 20 minutes in total in/out while moving slower then a sloth) and openly lying to a customer you'd be better off at a Canadian Tire auto service. Heed WARNING to those who do not know different, speed and monetary cost is in the eye of the beholder and this Snake Oil salesman sells a bitter brew of lies.

Being decently handy, I had an idea of how I might go about repairing it myself, but sought professional advice. The gentleman I talked to backed up what I had thought, and suggested I could do it myself, with the right parts. He pointed me in the right direction, and saved us $400, that we would have paid at the dealership. Excellent customer service, I'll definitely be returning if we need a mechanic to look at our car.

1 Star - My Worst Experience With Any Auto Repair Shop Three…read moremajor issues led me to lose all confidence in this Master Mechanic location: 1. Poor workmanship on my 2015 Infiniti QX60 resulting in repeat repairs, failed suspension components, alignment problems, damaged tires and thousands of dollars in additional repair costs. 2. My father-in-law's 2010 Buick was incorrectly diagnosed as needing a $4,000-5,000 head gasket repair or an $8,000 replacement engine, only for the manager to later admit the leak was actually caused during servicing. 3. I was almost billed for a second complete rear brake job less than a year after Master Mechanic had already performed the same repair. I only avoided paying because I reviewed my own invoices at the counter. After these three experiences, I cannot recommend this shop to anyone. For my Infiniti, I brought the vehicle in for a loud whirring noise and an alignment. I authorized a serpentine belt replacement and paid for a four-wheel alignment. The day after picking it up, I discovered a significant oil leak that had not existed beforehand. Master Mechanic later repaired a leaking cooler line and provided a "goodwill discount." Because I had already begun losing confidence in the shop, I sought a second opinion. Another garage found the recently repaired cooler line clamp was faulty, the engine was approximately four litres low on oil, the alignment was still significantly out, and the front control arms previously installed by Master Mechanic had failed and required replacement. They also advised my front summer tires, which Master Mechanic had sold me and had just reinstalled, had severe inner-edge wear that was never mentioned during the alignment. The additional repair costs totalled well over $2,000. The second incident involved my father-in-law's 2010 Buick. After routine servicing, I was told the vehicle likely required a $4,000-5,000 head gasket repair or an $8,000 replacement engine. I requested photos and videos before making any decision, but none were ever provided. Later that same day, the manager admitted the diagnosis was incorrect and told me the leak had actually been caused when a mechanic damaged a transmission fluid line during servicing. I was left wondering how such an expensive engine diagnosis could have been communicated before the actual cause had been confirmed. Finally, in 2025 I was advised my Infiniti required another complete rear brake job, despite Master Mechanic having completed the same repair less than a year earlier. When I produced my previous invoice, the recommendation was immediately withdrawn and a $760 warranty adjustment was applied. Had I not reviewed my own records, I believe I would have paid for work that should have been covered. Everyone makes mistakes, but in my experience these were not isolated incidents. Across two vehicles I experienced questionable diagnostics, poor workmanship, repeat repairs, warranty issues and multiple "goodwill discounts" after problems occurred. My advice to prospective customers is simple: keep every invoice, question major repair recommendations, request removed parts back, and always obtain a second opinion before authorizing expensive work. I have completely lost confidence in this business and will never return. *Gross incompetence & suspect business practices experienced by me. *Consumers be aware. *I wish I could give less than a one-star rating.

Pirates, pure and simple…read more My car had just passed a provincial safety inspection at another garage, but after I let the certificate lapse (I was suddenly called out of town for 30 days on business) I took the car here to be re-certified. The gall of this place. They knew full well the car was fine (I showed them the certificate) but their mechanic still refused to pass the car until I had paid him for $300 in repairs. What unsafe features of my car needed repairing, you ask? A slightly worn rear windshield wiper, a chipped hood release button (we'll have to replace the whole assembly!) and numerous other absurdly petty details. I told the mechanic he was either a crook or an idiot, and drove the car to a reputable garage. Sure enough, the car passed with flying colours. This place has made a living off exploiting the poor car knowledge of the wealthy neighbourhood surrounding them. I have never encountered a more blatantly crooked operation in the city of Toronto, and I wish them nothing but pestilence, pox and ruin.

They even charged $15 to change a license plate like another reviewer noted. What a scam. If you question them about anything that is actually mechanical or to do with road worthiness, they resort to appeals to authority and claim that they do everything according to government standards that have nothing to do with the item in question. STAY AWAY. These people don't have a clue.
