Another trip to Lee's Tint. This will be my 5th car I have had Lee's do. The price is always good! We looked at the tints and went over the warranty's for each. I decided to go with the 3M top of the line. My last car I used the mid line product and it was just ok. This time I will see if I can tell the difference. Called in this morning as soon as they opened 8:00 am on a Friday and Lee answered, I told him what I wanted, he gave me an awesome deal! Once I picked up my car, everything came out great!! He left no mess!! And everything came out super clean. The last place I went left a big mess in the back seat. Called at 9:20am just seeing if I can get the next earliest appointment. I believe it was Mr. Lee that told me today was booked, I said well I'm free only on weekends so. He follows up by asking how soon would I be free, I said right now. He tells me to be on time 9:30am and that the tinting will be $160, so I get on the 91 and I'm there at 9:26am. I walk in and the first thing I notice is all the pictures of previously done tints, he pulls out one of those pointers and runs down two tints that he uses, suntek and 3m, suntek usually $230, he said $160 cash. I went light on front and dark on rear section. Was worried cause most people go med front and dark back, but I like how it turned out. I went on Yelp! and saw that they had a "Request a Quote" icon, followed by "Responds to quote requests in about 1 hour", so I wanted to test out this statement. Sure enough, Manhyung L. owner of Lee's tint responded within 15 minutes of my request! I mentioned to him i wanted my GF's car make/model and how many windows i wanted him to tint, and he replied to me with an honest, competitive price; (i paid the same price for my scion tc 10 years go and his price was exactly in the market range). This place passed my first test. When I got there, I was greeted with a "Hello, thank you for coming by! Do you have an appointment? If not we can set one up!". The extremely friendly owner comes out and shakes my dad's and my hand. I talked to him about what I wanted to get done and true to his word, he upheld the price that we negotiated online. Passed the second test. Throughout the store front are pictures plastered all over the walls of his past works. From Benz to beamers, from Corollas to Hondas, it seems like this guy has done it all. If you don't know what you want, the owner is very helpful, and even gave my dad and I a quick 3 minute presentation of the films he uses and the specs behind each of the materials (he busted out a pointer stick and presented like a teacher! cool!). I asked if he had other workers, and he said "No, it's just me. I like the consistency of positive feedback I've been receiving, and I don't want to have variation. Every one of my customers will have the same great service!" I was quite impressed, but the end result will be the tell tell end result. I was curious if he would pass my 3rd and final test. Tint took about 2.5 hours as promised, and he did give a courtesy call to let me know it was ready. I paid cash, there was no charge of tax, and I even tipped him an extra 20 bucks because he took the time to explain the work, what precautions to take over the next couple of days, and even explained the lifetime warranty (both his work and the manufacturer's warranty). This place is an awesome gem of a sole proprietorship with a humble owner. He is energetic about his work and ultimately, produced another satisfied customer; truly deserving of his Yelp! rating and my 5 stars!. The work he does is exceptionally professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend others to this place. I've had my cars done at Valley Tint in buena park, Made in the Shade in Cypress, and Lee's tint, I would have to say tops them all. He explained the different tint options (I hadn't decided yet which to go with), and showed me how it would look as well after he pulled my car into the shop. He began working immediately while I sat in the waiting room. Both the waiting room and shop were clean (you can sneak over to Jack-in-the-Box across the street for a bite to eat - the's not much else around this industrial part of Fullerton). It took about an hour and a half to complete the work (rear hatchback window, front and rear passenger/driver-side windows) and I was out of there within a couple hours after arriving for my appointment.
