A must-visit for pipe and cigar smokers. Great selection and even better service from folks who are helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. Located in an historic building, the store is on the small side but well-stocked with pipes, cigars, tobacco, and accessories. There are comfortable leather chairs, a nice selection of beverages free to customers, and a friendly atmosphere. People who drop in quickly become "regulars" if they want to be social--and if that's not your speed, it's easy to relax and smoke by yourself. I'm a pipe smoker and appreciate the wide selection of pipes and tobaccos (including some rare or discontinued blends). Palmer, who works most weekends, helped me to choose my first pipe several years ago and is a terrific guy to hang out with when I stop in for a smoke. Stephen (Winky) works weekdays and we've had a great time exploring new blends and pipes as he delves into the hobby. And Brett, the owner, is a force of nature--always finding new, interesting things to offer. Very good for newbies and people looking to buy gifts for the pipe and cigar smokers in their lives. I've seen dozens of first-timers people walk in with some nervousness and leave with a smile. A brick and mortar like this is worth paying a little bit more than online (and it really is just a little bit more). Way way WAY better than the Old Virginia shops in this area. At least equal with John B. Hayes and the others if not a little better. Prices seemed much more reasonable than I've seen elsewhere in this area, and the staff is younger and friendlier. The music is a nice touch, and the lounge looked pretty awesome. This is the only place I shop for cigars anymore. Great selection, very reasonable prices on cigars, and the cigars are properly cared for. I cannot name how many shops I have been in where the cigars are too dry. Staff had always been helpful. This is a great cigar and pipe store. We were impressed with the friendly - but not overbearing - customer service, wide selection (Nat Sherman cigarettes, even), and an expertly maintained humidor. Prices are competitive. The shop is a very welcoming environment, with a small area with four or five chairs where gentlemen were enjoying their cigars. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Cigars are a guilty pleasure of mine. I only smoke maybe two or three a year, so I buy the good ones when I do. The gentleman who helped me make a selection was very pleasant and helpful. He knew a lot about the different countries' selections and different cuts. I ended up going with one from the Dominican Republic, and I was not disappointed! It went great with a few friends and some brandy. This place is beautiful, and very welcoming. A warm and inviting Tobacco Shop indeed. Leesburg Cigar & Pipe includes all of the amenitites you would expect in a quality tobacco store. The staff is friendly, amiable and treats their customers with genuine respect unlike other tobacconists where I have found employees to be arrogant and disrespectful of one's tastes and knowledge. The store is true to its word that it indeed holds a very comprehensive selection of imported and domestic tobacco. I have been able to easily locate the brands I trust and smoke most often as well as some new ones which I have come to enjoy. Lastly, the inside of the shop is very comfortable and conducive to a chap who enjoys a nice long smoke. If the inside is not your particular cup of tea, the outside of the store boasts a nice porch in an area of other quaint shops which you may enjoy. Altogether, Leesburg Cigar & Pipe gets 5 Stars and is my personal favorite. read more

I've been buying my cigars here (on and off, sometimes I take a vacation from smoking) for several years. Excellent selection and knowledgeable staff. All the other thumbs up reviews are spot on. One time I inadvertently left my wallet at home because I had changed to a new wallet and picked up the old by mistake. BIll, the owner, said stock up with what you need and pay me when you come back next time and he wrote me up for a tab right there. In this day and age, doing a transaction with a gentleman's agreement is almost unheard of. You won't find a better smoke shop in Northern Va. read more

If you are cigar smoker this a good place to go, they have a good selection of cigars, some leather chairs, a flat screen TV, and a decent air filter. I find the prices to comparable to most other local cigar retail, which means it is more expensive than the Internet but reason for places like Leesburg Cigar and Pipe is to sit down with some other people and shoot the breeze about the topic of day, it is about the social aspect of smoking cigars, and at LC&P you usually get a good crew of people relive last nights game, talk finances, politics, sales, the meaning of life, or whatever comes up. UPDATE: William, I assume that the bracelet was made by xikar, it very well have been made by a different manufacturer. I remember asking you to hold it until I got paid so I could buy the sixty dollar bracelet. Claiming this never happened was LIE #1. Also when you said to me that there were four other patrons that saw me pour water into an ashtray and that is LIE #2. I was alone there the last time I came by to smoke and I did not pour any water into any ashtray. You are going after the wrong guy here, you obviously have me confused with someone else. You are portraying yourself as a poor business owner with no conflict resolution skills whatsoever and frankly you are embarrassing yourself. ***** Update: Leesburg Cigar & Pipe has posted a response; please click the ...more link, below, to read it. ***** The following letter was hand delivered to Leesburg Cigar & Pipe; I will add an additional post if/when I receive a response: As you may remember, Bill, I stopped by your shop on Thursday 5 January 2012 and purchased three cigars, including a very nice Padron Family Reserve, as well as an inexpensive three torch lighter, all for more than $70. I also admired your Meerschaum pipes. You indicated that you would receive new stock of Xykar lighters Friday afternoon; so, I returned to the shop on the following Saturday and purchased a two torch Xykar lighter from you for more than $60. On the following Monday, I returned to the shop to enjoy one of the cigars that I purchased the previous Thursday. The shop was empty except for a tall man behind the counter who asked if he could help me. I said that I was just here to enjoy a cigar in your lounge. The man then quickly added that, to use the shop's lounge, I would need to make a minimum $10 purchase. With a puzzled, and then relieved, look my face, I explained that I was going to enjoy one of the cigars that I had just purchased at the shop. The man then repeated the aforementioned store policy, adding that the purchase must be made on the day that the lounge was used. Holding up the cigar and receipt, I repeated that this was one of your shop's own cigars (for which I had, serendipitously, the purchase receipt still in my coat pocket). He repeated the store policy, at which time I exited the shop, indicating that the shop had just lost a customer. The man said, OK. I am a new resident of Loudoun County and was pleased to find your shop and to meet you. I have always been an ardent supporter of my local tobacconist, however, I find that your unreasonable adherence to such a store policy, in the face of an empty shop and my trying to enjoy one of your own cigars, to be unacceptable, particularly in this era of Internet sales drawing customers to forsake the local tobacconist. You have indeed lost what would have been a dedicated customer and friend. read more

They have a good selection of cigars and the staff is helpful. Bill has always given me honest advice on selection. Yes, it is pricey compared to online stores but this is, as one reviewer said, a brick and mortar establishment and with that in mind, they offer competitive prices. Really like this cigar shop. Been there a few times now and it's much better than the Old Dominion in Dulles Town Center and a better atmosphere than the cigar shop in the Harris Teeter shopping center off 7 in Ashburn. I stopped in on Dec 23, bought some gifts and smoked a cigar with the regulars, who seemed very friendly. I definitely consider this my cigar store now. read more

Stopped going here after getting grief from the owner for not buying a cigar every time I smoked in the lounge. I had supported the store with multiple box purchases, along with lighters, ashtrays, etc. and had referred other customers. Both the owner and the sales guys were very familiar with me and knew I supported the store. That kind of bureaucratic rule enforcement has lost them a number of customers. read more
