As someone with a background in event planning, I have never left a venue feeling as disappointed as I did after working with The 905 Room. I would not book another event here or purchase flowers from this business again. The advertised rental is only 3 hours, and that time includes both setup and teardown. We hosted a 25-person baby shower, and three hours wasn't nearly enough time. We actually had to book two separate time slots just to have enough time to decorate, host the shower, clean up, and leave without feeling rushed. By the time you account for setup and teardown, the standard rental simply isn't practical for an event of this size. The venue is much smaller than it appears online. It's packed with furniture, making the space feel even tighter. You don't have to move the furniture yourself, but if you don't tour the venue beforehand, it's difficult to understand how much usable space there really is. I highly recommend seeing it in person before signing a contract. The "bar" is really just a peninsula with no running water. The only sink is in the bathroom. There is no kitchen or prep area, and the only refrigeration is a tiny mini fridge. If you're serving fresh food or drinks, you'll need to plan for that yourself. The floral policy was another major disappointment. The contract effectively makes them your only practical option for florals. It states that if you're "caught" bringing in outside flowers--including artificial flowers--you'll be charged a $200 fee. It's written as a penalty, not as an option. Their floral pricing was far beyond what I was comfortable paying. I was quoted $20 for a single bud vase with one flower, $100 for what they called a "bucket" of only 15 stems, and $30 for a bouquet of baby's breath. Even after paying the $200 fee, I still spent less by purchasing flowers elsewhere and arranging them myself. I also purchased the Petite Decor Package for $175, which included a balloon cluster and focal floral arrangement. I expected much more than what was provided. The floral arrangement was tiny, and the balloon display didn't resemble what I expected based on the package description. The biggest issue came after the event. A few days later, I received an email demanding $500--$200 for outside florals (which I anticipated), $200 for paint damage, and $100 for excessive cleaning. After I requested proof, they sent photos showing a handful of small paint marks on some tables and a chair. The activity involved washable watercolor paint and paint markers. What was most frustrating was that while we were still packing up, their staff had already started wiping down the tables and bar area. No one mentioned there was a problem or gave us the opportunity to clean the remaining spots ourselves. Had they simply pointed them out while we were still there, we would have gladly attempted to remove them. Instead, I received an email after the event demanding additional fees. I even offered to drive two hours back to the venue to try removing the marks before paying the charges. When I couldn't make the single time they offered, I arranged for local family members to go instead. Because they couldn't arrive before the venue's 5:00 p.m. closing time due to work, the venue refused to offer any flexibility, saying that "everyone has commitments." At that point, it became clear that working toward a resolution was not the priority. Throughout this process, communication felt cold and adversarial. Emails arrived without even a greeting or signature, and every interaction left me feeling like resolving the issue was less important than collecting additional fees. The baby shower itself turned out beautifully because of the effort my family and I put into it--not because of the venue. I've worked with many venues and understand that contracts and policies are necessary. What I don't expect is to leave feeling that customer service took a back seat to enforcing penalties and collecting additional fees. I cannot recommend this venue and would encourage anyone considering it to carefully compare it with other local options before signing a contract. read more

I believe in reviewing services on line....I find it very helpful so I like to do the favor back...I was surprised to see only two reviews on the Upscale Florist in Washington, IL Le Fleur....I was also very surprised to see the review from R.E. my experience I have to say doesn't match her experience in the least. I have had the pleasure stopping by Le Fleur just to pick up a quick arrangement for a dear friend and was AMAZED!!! Having worked in customer service for over thirty years I'm a pretty tough cookie when it comes to customer service, Le Fleur hit a home run in every aspect from greeting me when I first walked in the door, to helping me pick out the perfect arrangement for a special occasion. They made me feel like I had known them forever. Let's now talk about the arrangement..it was AMAZING! I could not believe how elegant it was.....they dropped everything to put it together for me on the spot, asking me the important questions to make the arrangement personnel for the individual I was delivering it too...I have since ordered many other arrangements from this amazing business and have don't been disappointed in the least...so if your looking for GREAT customer service and an amazing experience don't forget to go visit the girls at Le Fleur you will fall in love with them...Kaitlyn R read more

Today was my second visit to this store. I was visited the first time probably last fall and was very impressed by the gifts that they had available.So when I went to find a very pretty vase for my mother -in law for mother's day, I was sure I was going to find it at this store. When I walked in I first noticed that the stock was very much reduced in quantity no in price(kind of expensive) but I still looked around. There were three employees in the store and not a single one acknowledged me. The amusing part of this is that a person who I am assuming was the store owner was on the phone complaining that the only review on Yelp was a negative one and what she needed to do to so that others did not read this and think that it represented the store. In the mean time I was a customer in the store and NO ONE paid any attention to me. This will actually be my first review on YELP and I probably would not have posted anything except the I heard an entire conversation about how the employees are always nice and acknowledge the customer and no one bothered to even look at me. I did get a "Have a good Day" as I was halfway out the door to my car. I will not be going back and I recommend that for the money you might be better off spending you money elsewhere. read more

I recently recruited Le Fleur Florist in Washington, IL for my daughters' wedding...I could not believe that this level of design could be found outside of Chicago, let alone in this quaint little town. The Beauty of their work was breath taking. By the time we had completed this lifetime journey with them, I felt we had became friends. The caring touch and attention to detail was astounding. We visited many, many florist from Chicago to St. Louis to find the Fairy Tale Wedding for my beloved daughter and the journey brought us to Le Fleur and I thank God everyday that he brought Kelly into our lives in the crazy planning process. I can not tell you how many guest took me to the side and asked "Who did the Floral Arrangements", with a full heart and a very large smile I simply said "Le Fleur in Washington, you will fall in love with them". Not only did we make new friends with Kelly and her amazing staff, but I have found my new go to place for home décor and gifts for friends. Not only is it the BEST Florist, they have amazing décor and gifts from jewelry to whatever you may be looking for. I've never been compelled to write on yelp but after shopping at Le Fleur several times, I wanted to share how incredible this shop is! Not only is it beautiful and fresh, the service is first rate! When I mentioned that I was looking for something different that would fit on a corner wall, they immediately came up with several ideas that not only were within my budget, but created a beautiful addition to my sun room that is truly a conversation piece! My daughters and I went to one of the classes where we got to make our own center pieces that I used for Thanksgiving last fall. We are really looking forward to the next one! I live on the east coast and ordered flowers for my sister's birthday December 24. I requested gardenias, however I wanted them incorporated into a somewhat whimsical and colorful birthday celebratory arrangement - no easy feat. And I did not want it to look at all Christmassy. The designer did a fabulous job using color, a little sparkle and the warmth of the creamy gardenias to create a lovely birthday arrangement. They also texted me a photo of the arrangement after it was designed. I greatly appreciated this and will return with my purchases from afar. It saddens me that I thought I could count on a company like YELP to help get the reviews out about my business. However, the truth is that YELP did expose reviews about my business but ONLY the negative reviews. I found out through reviews on the company itself that if a business wants the good reviews to show that they have to pay for advertising. Wow, am I disappointed. If you click on the filtered reviews at the bottom you will see the good reviews. YELP, you are a big HOAX. Excellent florist, absolutely would recommend this place for your flowers or plants, I ordered a plant for a funeral and it was beautiful , the plants were so nice and the ceramic container bowl they suggested was beautiful. plus the two red roses and ribbon added was just perfect. My flowers from LeFleur are always beautiful, and last a long time. I've tried the 1-800 types and they usually send the wrong thing, late, or bad flowers. Might cost a bit more at LeFleur, but well worth it. read more
