The one star is for Bernard... I've been working with Legacy for over two months trying to find the right vehicle. I initially went in intending to purchase new, but while on the lot I saw a Suburban that was already for sale. This was not a recent trade-in; it was a vehicle actively listed and available on the lot. I was allowed to take the vehicle for 48 hours while final details were completed. All paperwork was signed, insurance was secured, and I was given the final out-the-door price. I was paying cash and declined financing. I returned to the dealership to obtain a cashier's check and complete payment. As the vehicle was being prepared, I was informed that the dealership could no longer sell it to me. I was later told the owner had sold the vehicle at auction the day prior, not realizing I was in the process of purchasing it -- despite the vehicle being in my possession at the time. I was then told that if I paid an additional $4,000 to match the auction price, I could still purchase it. As an alternative, I was offered a different vehicle at a higher price than what had already been agreed upon. I want to be very clear that the manager and sales team were excellent throughout this process. They were professional, communicative, and did everything they could in a difficult situation. My frustration is not with them. Mistakes happen, but this was a significant transaction and a disappointing way to handle a long-term customer relationship. I'm sharing this simply as a factual account of my experience. The Truth Drayton Washington is a liar--and a very good one. People like him are why car salesmen have such a bad reputation. Drayton looked me straight in the eyes while I was sobbing and lied without hesitation. I truly question how someone can behave that way and still claim to have morals. I pray Jesus changes his heart. Drayton was so quick to make a sale that he gave me the wrong price on the Suburban. On the day I originally looked at it, he told me--and I quote--"I've got $52,000 in it. I'll sell it for $58,000." When I later came in and signed the paperwork, everything was fine--until his attitude suddenly changed. I negotiated like any reasonable buyer would. I was asking for as little as $100 off, because my father always taught me never to pay full price for a car. At some point, Drayton either became aggravated with me or knew he had made a pricing mistake. He then said he wasn't going "a dime" below what was written on the paper. I responded with something along the lines of, "Whoa--what's wrong?" His reply was shocking and inappropriate. He said, "Yeah, you thought you were going to come in here and be cute and get what you want." At any point, Drayton could have simply been honest. He could have told me he made an error, apologized, and asked if I was willing to pay the difference. I would have politely declined and asked to look at something else. Instead, he chose to tell a blatant lie to avoid making himself look bad. When asked by one of his employees what he planned to do once the vehicle went back on the lot, he said, "Oh well, can't make everyone happy." Shortly after, the same vehicle was listed back on the lot for $67,000. When did being an honest, good person stop meaning more than protecting your ego or making yourself look good? read more

I wish that I could just give a zero rating. They did not honor on what I was told for a repair quote and the length of time that I would have to leave my vehicle. They told me one week but it was two weeks of being without my truck. Then when I went in to pay for the repairs the final invoice was much more than the quoted costs. I will not ever go to them again. This was my first and last time with dealing with this dealership. I was very disppointed with this kind of treatment to a customer. read more

After making a service appointment two weeks ahead of time, dropping my vehicle off 15 minutes ahead of schedule, being told they needed 2 hours "TOPS" for the service, getting the non-functional status link via text, no responses from my "service and 3 hours of waiting went to pickup my vehicle and it hadn't moved from my drop off spot. They had no answer why, and offer to do a "free Oil Change". Oh yeah it was still going to take 2+ hours to service, so 5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation, I don't think so. I pulled my vehicle and am going somewhere else, you get better service at Walmart. Service manager would not come out and talk with me. Coward!!! Legacy Ownership should be ashamed!!! Will never use or recommend this dealership EVER to anyone who'll listen. BEWARE of this low class non-customer focused dealership. read more

I purchased a Silverado 1500 back in May. Almost immediately I had an issue with one of the Tires. We took a trip from Greenwood SC to Buffalo Ny. Long story short I tried some Fix-a-Flat. Didnt really have much of a choice it was 10:00 at night. I took to Legacy Service and the guy was very rude to me. He told me because I used fix a flat he would have to replace the whole tire. He said he would not even have his guy look at it. I just walked out and took it to Firestone. Turns out the value stem seal was bad. It cost me $26.00 to fix. This guy at Legacy is just a jerk, He gave me a attitude before this when I took my truck in for my first oil change. Worst communication and service imaginable. While my daughter was home from college for Thanksgiving we made an appointment and took her car to Legacy on Tuesday for a few issues. At that time we made it perfectly clear that we needed the car back at the very latest on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Lack of communication #1 - I never heard from Legacy about the status of the repair. So on Friday (let's call it Black Friday) I called and called the service number and spent much time on hold. Giving up on ever being able to speak to someone I finally left a number for them to call back. That didn't work any better. Finally late Friday after many more attempts at calling I was able to talk to someone in the service department. Basically they said that they had not even looked at the car at that point, but I was told the car would be ready on the next day (Saturday). They were supposed to call me back when the car was ready. Lack of Communication (LOC) #2 - Their website says they are open until 6pm on Saturday so I was giving them as long as I could stand not hearing anything from them. Again, I called, called, and called ad nauseam and the phone was never answered. So I had my daughter go by and see if she could find out anything about the car. It was at this point we found out the service department actually closes at 3 on Saturday. Finally I changed my tactic and instead of punching 2 for service I pressed 1 for sales. Remarkably the phone was answered. I spoke with James about the car but he told me the service departments closes at 3 on Saturday. At this point I am ranting but James did seem to care about the situation they put me in. He called people who already left for the day to find out something about the car. Basically this is when I learned that the car had never really been diagnosed. At this point I made arrangements for my daughter to get alternate transportation back to school. I was told they would call me on Monday with the status of the car. guess what? LOC#3 - I never got a call. But I did eventually get an email from them that had a list of recommended services needed for the car. Of the 7 recommendations I selected 4 things and sent it back to them because I was pretty sure calling them is useless. At that point, they said the car would be ready on Friday 12/1. During the repair they found another issue and guess what? THEY CALLED ME; I am sure it was to get permission to spend another $1000; which I agreed to do. Now the car should be ready to go on Monday 12/4. LOC#4 - Never got a call on Monday to tell me that the repairs were further delayed. Finally on Tuesday I got a call telling me the car was ready. So I went to Legacy to get the car. LOC #5 - I show up at the service desk and it was devoid of all humans. I saw some guy in his office shooting the breeze with someone. I am pretty sure we made eye contact but he never took it took it upon himself to come to the service desk to help me. So finally after waiting at the desk for a good ten minutes I went inside to a counter where there was a human person. I asked him if he could help but he couldn't, but he did offer to find someone in the service department. Finally someone showed up who could take my money and give me the keys to the car. At this point I was happy to pay my bill and be rid of this mess of a business and never go back. But alas, not exactly sure what happened but after I started the car. It was clear from the warning lights that some of my authorized (via their system) repairs were not performed. So I go back in and asked about the work not performed. He looked it up on the computer and determined that work I said to do, they just decided to ignore. Now it's Thursday and all the work has been performed and I have the car back in my possession. I have never so glad to be rid of a business in my life. Suffice to say I'll never go back to Legacy and hopefully I'll never own another GM product. read more

They made a cash offer for my car thru CARFAX. I drove 30 miles for the visual inspection , and they would not come to car unless I agreed to buy a car from them, even though the CARFAX offer clearly stated No Purchase Necessary. I tried to contact their HQ and they refused to give me the info. The dept of Corporations has no record of them, or their HQ. Their NAME is available to be taken by anyone with a grudge, for a $10 reservation fee. Hmm-m .... That sounds like a plan ! I had been calling dealers within a 500 mile radius looking for a specific car. They happen to have one and it was not reserved by anyone. I told them I would be up the next morning and asked if they wanted anything to hold the vehicle and they told me, no we are a small town dealer that works like a small town dealer. The next morning my wife and I drove up, saw the car and purchased it on sight. We were in and out in less than 2 hours and there were no pressure sales, no bait and switch, no last minute add-ons in the finance office and it was probably the most pleasant experience I've ever had buying a car. TERRIBLE!!! They sell broken cars. They do not inspect them before they put them on the lot. Sold to us with 3 different sized tires, a broken headlight, bumper falling off. They are slow to respond and get things done. This place is being run into the ground by their condescending, small little man for a manager Michael. He doesn't care about his customers and is inconsiderate. They will lie to you, make guarantees that they cannot keep. This dealership is a joke. If you want to buy a broken, overpriced car while the manger makes you cry and tries to belittle you and your family and force you into a co-sign then this is a dealership for you! If not, i recommend literally anywhere else, it can't get any worse than this place. This place is such a rip off. We took my Cadillac Escalade in because the driver side mirror got busted when parked on vacation. While we were having a recall done we asked for a quote to fix the mirror. Their service Dept took a look and said you just need the mirror replaced. So we had them order the part . When the part came in they tried to put it on and said it was busted worse than they thought and we would have to order a whole assembly. Which I had no problem with. The problem comes when they want to charge me $48 restocking fee for a part they miss diagnosed. So I return the part and paid the $48 restock fee and get a quote for the whole assembly of $550. So I order the part , get sent to pay for it and get my partial credit on the wrong part. I wait a week call to see if the part is in and make the appointment to get it installed, take my car in and leave. An hour later I get a call the part is not there but they can order one and have it delivered the next day then have to send it somewhere to get painted and charge me another $80. Needless to say I had to drive back into town, pick up my car and tell them no thank you! You service sucks. We should have known better because we had our corvette serviced last year and it came back in worse condition than when we left it. Grinding in the wheel hub was not the issue when we took it in. We were told it is probably air in the line. This is seriously a joke of a place. Some employees are super here, but this is policy at Gary Buss...... read more

I absolutely love getting my car services here. The staff is always so kind and very accommodating. Today (06/11/21) I needed to drop my car off early it was no problem and they even got it in earlier. When I came back to pick up my vehicle and walked around to pay I walked up to a desk where a young man and woman sat (on cellphones) I stood there for about two minutes before either one said anything to me. The young man finally asked me what I needed, I have them my name and they pulled my keys and receipt. The young man who appeared to be in training asked me how would I like to pay, I told cash and he extended his hand for it without even telling me the price. I handed him the hundred dollar bill and he gave me my change (which he had to count three times) ON THE DESK! Very rude and very disrespectful because my hand was extended and ready to receive the change. After this he said thank you and went on talking to the young lady behind the desk, I had to say excuse me and ask for the key to my car. I understand this young man is in training but his lack of customer service skills and just general respect totally blew my mind. I have been coming here for four years and have always had an AWESOME above the bar experience, this young man and his disrespect really has mere apprehensive of my next visit. read more
