In the beginning my sister who accompanied me to most appointments, and myself thought the staff seemed nice. The office manager, Sharon did a lot of the talking for the Dr and was involved with most of the appointments. From the very beginning there were problems with the denture. It was very difficult to snap on, and if it ever was put on, was quite painful. Even when the Dr. Was able, you could see that he was using a lot of brut strength in his attempts. I started developing sores and was experiencing more pain. I had to take them out to eat, and after several months was still on soft food. I am not a wimp, and have never been afraid to go to the dentist. I was getting frustrated, and losing some of the enthusiasm and hope I had in the beginning. I expressed my concerns to Dr. SIghne, and became teary eyed, and told him I was trying my best, but didn't know what to do. He became agitated , and tolded me that if I was going to conduct myself that way that maybe I should not come anymore and not be allowed on the property. I couldn't believe it. This was not a blubbering fest. It was a few warranted tears! I told him that I was sorry , all I want to do is eat normally and have something other then soft food. From there on Sharon ( office manager)was in charge of my treatment. If I past the dentist , in the hall , he wouldn't even look at me, let alone say hello. After a few more appointments, going on 2 years now, I was told to get a 2nd opinion!! I got 2. Having to pay one person $175. for the consultation, he wanted to put in permanent implants for several thousand dollars, while expressing some carefully worded negative comments about the work I had done. The other dentist said that I needed 4, instead of the 2 posts that I had, which caused a rocking ,unstable foundation . The procedure would cost me a lot more money. She seemed skeptical of the snap on denture I had in. I later found out the the posts didn't line up and probably would never work right! I called. Family Dental to give the results of the 2nd ( and 3rd ) opinion requested. I called a few times, before discovering that they were no longer accepting my calls. I had been blocked!! Yesterday I went into the office thinking that I might have a sore tooth. I didn't have a sore tooth. I had an abscessed tooth the Dental techs and assistants knew exactly what to do, and they told me exactly what they were gonna do (pull if). And then did exactly what they said they were going to do. My tooth is gone. The pain is gone and I feel so much better. It's nice to know. They got people standing by if you have a serious medical issue with your teeth. I can't recommend Bremerton Dental highly enough.

I thought I Would see Dr. Houpt and thought he was the only dentist there. I continued with the first appointment with a laundry list of recommended work for my 71 year old teeth including replacing old fillings etc. In the world or unlimited funds and time maybe that would be a good plan. I was going to wait to see the cost associated with the proposed plan which I have yet to receive. The purpose of my visit was to get a quote for bonding for chipped front teeth, nothing else was bothering me. I was also interested in the cost of veneers. When I got home I checked online what I could and learned Dr. Redgate had excellent school history for Dentristy, apparently worked as a dentist in the military and the only history I could find of dentistry in general public was in CA in 2021, changing offices in 2023 and now at Old Towne Dental in WA.. I certainly cannot know if there is more history with general public - this is what I could find online. I would love to see real patient reviews both from California and Washington. While serving as a Dentist in the military is relevant, serving as a Dentist to the general public is also important. I think the skill set would have differences, but I am not a dentist. I am someone who has seen many dentists over 70 years, some bad, some good, some excellent. It is hard to know until the work is done and then it is what it is. Therefore - public reviews from prior patients are important to me. I wish it was easier to select a dentist. I wish Old Towne Dental and its associates great success and many good reviews.

X-rays were super quick and painless! Normally the cardboard bites into areas of my mouth but not this time! Dr came in and did his check up, explained things for future visit and then the actual cleaning and buffing came..again quick professional and painless. Said it would be fine when the permanent crown was on, it wasn't! After a month or so of pain said I needed a root canal so had one done through the crown. Didn't help. After another month of pain back to the endodontist and he re-did the root canal. During which he said he saw a crack in the tooth. Now, after all of this time and trouble there's a crack! Now looking at extraction, implant, and a new crown that ins. won't pay for because they only pay for one per tooth and that was already done. I'm looking at $7000. out of pocket! What a nightmare!!

I saw a dentist in Texas who had taken xrays and told me that i need a crown, hopefully not a root canal. I asked my cousin (who lives here) who she sees and Current was recommended so I called and was able to be seen. I emailed my Texas X-rays to them and told them my insurance. (DeltaDental) I came in and again offered my card but they didn't need a copy, they already had one. I was seen by Dr Timothy... great experience!! I needed a root canal, post and crown. They were able to do it all in one day, and since it needed to be done and i have insurance, I did it. I also needed to return for 3 fillings, so I made the appointment to return. When I came in for the follow up appt...I was met with a $2200 bill and was told that they don't take Delta Dental, it's out of network. It was like getting kicked in the gut!! I was NEVER told by anyone along the way that I was out of network. I sent a letter to the office with no response asking to reduce the bill as its not completely my fault that this happened, with NO response. I've tried to talk to the office manager who keeps saying that they train their front desk to tell everyone that delta dental is out of network. She is not willing to help me out at all THEY NEVER ONCE told me I was out of network. I would have declined service and found a dentist who is IN network. I am only asking to lower the bill but they will NOT help me out at all!!! Hoping this review saves someone else from a huge bill.
