My first visit with Dr Core was great. I needed a tooth removed and was very nervous about it. He talked to me for about 45min to calm me down and walk me through the procedure. I've got another appointment with him next week for a follow-up and couldn't be happier with him and his staff. Jeremy was a breeze to work with on scheduling as I work nights and have limited time during the day. I wish they were open weekends though. Nancy is the coolest assistant I've ever met. Awesome I love it here. I've been coming to Dr Core for years back to when he was still on Cactus. Service is outstanding, they are friendly and never do I have to wait like most doctor offices. My entire family comes here and we will continue to do so. I switched for a bit as it was a bit of a drive for me but I hates the new dentist so much that I hurried back regardless of the drive. I don't know why yelp chose not to make my first review public (honestly, that really bothers me. i feel like I've been censored. which is the opposite of what i thought yelp claims to be all about) ANYWAY! My experiences as Dr. Core's patient have been absolutely wonderful! He is kind and gentle and the best dentist I've ever had. Prior dental experiences with OTHER DENTISTS have included me shouting "u r a terrible dentist! u hurt me!" loud enough that everyone in the waiting room was silent and staring when i stormed thru there moments later.... and the time the dentist was kneeling on my chest, telling me "you're really going to have to calm down" and me leaving the office sobbing big wet, slobbery tears in the parking lot & scaring the other patients there! (THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WITH DR. CORE! HE IS GREAT! HIS STAFF IS AMAZING!) Hopefully, yelp sees fit to allow this review to be viewed by other prospective patients. Because if yelp doesn't include my opinion to be included in the public comments section, it's doing a disservice to Dr. Core. I landed in Dr. Core's office with a toothache. I have a pretty substantial fear of the dentist, and I was scared/nervous. Dr. Core took such great care of me - he performed a root canal on my tooth earlier this week and it was a great experience. His assistant named Cynthia was more like a sweet grandma, literally holding my hand and comforting me through my fear - while Dr. Core was so gentle and patient, I didn't even feel the numbing shots in my mouth. I was amazed at the lack of pain involved and how he was so insistent on making sure that I was comfortable. I give Dr. Core my absolute highest recommendation, especially if you have any type of dental phobia/anxiety and have put off going to the dentist. He is absolutely worth the drive and like another reviewer stated, you will be very, very glad that you chose Dr. Core! read more

This review is a little delayed. My experience is from the fall of 2015. I didn't want to post anything while I thought there might be a chance I would ever return there, and then the major trauma passed so I just let it slide. But recently I received a bill for $15,despite having my account marked paid in full at the time the work was completed. I left an angry voice mail and received no response. Yesterday I went into the office, and was told by the person at the desk she had "written it off". I asked for and received another receipt showing a zero balance. This reminded me of all I had experienced there, and so this review. My treating dentist does not appear to be there any longer after looking at the website, but he is not my only complaint. I chose to go here based on reviews, the hours that worked with mine, and proximity to my home. Financial details were discussed after the dentist determined the only viable course of action was removal of what remainded of my top teeth and going to a top denture. This was not unexpected, and my cost would be approximately what my insurance paid, also not unexpected. It was arranged that the first step would be a cleaning of my lower teeth, followed immediately by a deep cleaning of the same teeth. In preparation for this, I was given multiple injections of numbing drug (s). After the initial cleaning was completed, and this part went well, the dentist came in to chek and stated he no longer wanted the deep cleaning done. I forget how it actually played out, but the time booked for this was no longer available when I was notified that the procedure was once again going to be done and I was requested to come back later in the day. I did, and because of the time lapse, had to once again endure the numbing shots. At the end of the visit, I was told that I needed to buy a bottle of their "special " mouthwash for $20 and that I might as well as it would count towards my insurance deductible. I returned a little less than 3 weeks later to have the extractions done and be supplied with the denture. I thought I might like the nitrous oxide to get through it, but after 2 or 3 inhales, I felt like I couldn't breathe, so had it discontinued. It showed up on my bill as a $118 charge anyway. The dentist seemed to forget that I was more than a mouth, resulting in pain in other parts of my body as he leaned full weight on me. He also apparently missed what he was aiming at in my mouth as I was jabbed several times in the lower jaw and cheek areas. He commented that I had a very small mouth. Really? You didn't notice that on the previous two visits? I was told it was done and directed to stop by the desk to pay the balance on the bill. Trying to keep from passing out from the pain, I did so. I asked if they had an ice pack, and was told no, they usually did, but they were out. I took my prescriptions for the pain meds and another bottle of the mouthwash. I forget if it was a four dollar or 10 dollar copay with my insurance, but definitely cheaper than the same thing I was sold in the office. No one had mentioned that I had blood all over my face as I left the building. I was continuing to bleed enough to soak a napkin every few minutes and by the time I got to the pharmacy, I had to carefully wipe more blood off my face. I took the pain pill before I left the pharmacy. Upon examining the denture, it seemed to be the 8 track of dentures- big, clunky, and no artistic value. I had been told the lab is owned by a relative of Dr Core. A couple small flaws in workmanship were also noted. I made my follow up visits as directed, but felt I was walking into enemy territory each time. Now, a little over a year and a half later, the dentures slip around and sometimes people can't understand what I am saying due to the fit not being right. There hasn't yet been a day that my mouth isn't sore or actually painful. My insurance for this is once every five years, and my budget doesn't allow for me to go elsewhere to rectify this. I'm still not sure how there are so many good reviews on here,but this one is my actual experience at a place I would not recommend to anyone. read more

Dr. Brann is a great dentist and super funny. The office staff is pleasant and efficient. They were flexible enough to fit me in the next morning after my cleaning to fill a small cavity which was quick and painless. I was in and out in 30 minutes tops. Plus, they make cookies. Okay, so I'm totally afraid of dentists and have only been to the dentist 2x in 25 years, both times for a crisis. Yikes! It took 3....yes 3! simultaneous infections at the same time to drive me to the dentist a few months ago. Talk about pain city. Using Yelp, I chose Dr. Core, made an appt, loaded up on Ibuprofen and went in. Terrified. But desperate. I knew my teeth were a mess, but Dr. Core didn't judge and said it wasn't the totally hopeless car wreck I thought it was (you know, a "pull em all out" type scenario). He came up with a plan for this year and next year, so I wouldn't max out too much with my insurance this year. Then they showed me what the insurance would pay and what I would pay, which ended up being spot on. He gave me something to control my anxiety and then, well, the adventure began: 3 root canals and 2 crowns in 4 weeks. I don't remember much from the visits: a drill sound here, a funny joke there, but no anxiety and no pain (this from someone so anxious I was even anxious about taking the pill for anxiety!!!). He made my crowns & put them on right after the root canals, and when one crown needed a very minor adjustment, he did it the next day, easy-peasy. It's so great not feeling pain anymore and to be able to actually chew my food with both sides of my mouth! I should also mention that his assistants are just as nice, competent, and empathetic as he is. Dr. Core rocks! (and tells some pretty funny jokes, too). If you're a scaredy cat like me, don't wait if you are having problems. Or better yet, don't wait until you do have problems. Just go. read more

After not going to the dentist for 40 years, it was a pleasant surprise to see that it was a painless experience. They fixed all the issues I had. They also take the time to explain what you will be charged and what the insurance will pay, so there are no surprises. Dr. Core and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable in their practice. I'm an electronic tech and was impressed with the state of the art equipment that he has on hand. Dr. Core comes off as one of the most genuinely nicest people you'll ever meet. He recognizes his position within society as a dentist, and has very practiced techniques to calm and assure patients to relax in his care. However, as is stated by another patient, his wife is completely unprofessional, as is his receptionist(s), first Jan, and more recently, Jeremy as well. My Grandmother (recently widowed at the time) graciously helped me fix some issues I had with my teeth. She paid thousands of dollars to Dr. Core, on top of insurance payments of thousands of dollars for previous visits and work done. I've had some extractions, posts, fillings, etc. Nothing too serious. After a few years of visits and appointments with Dr. Core's office, Jan had informed me of this "new office", and how much nicer it was than the Cactus office, as well as how much closer it was to my home. Naturally, she then scheduled me an appointment there, and that was that, so I thought. It turns out Jan had forgotten to mention that the "new office" was so new, that the insurance company still didn't provide coverage there. Realizing her error, she then tried to cover it all up by fast talking my Grandmother (I was still very groggy from the sedation) into paying what she thought was a remaining balance after insurance coverage paid, but they never did. So Jan then decided to just bill all of it to my Grandmother. When I discussed the amount with my Grandmother, I immediately called Jan, who she then said she would get the person in charge of billing involved, which that is how I first met Mrs. Core. She refused to hear anything I had to say about Jan's errors, instead she said that I had "received the treatment and the bill and it's amounts were fair." I then asked to speak to Dr. Core but was refused. I repeatedly tried to contact Dr. Core, without crossing the line, and still have yet to speak with him directly. This is extremely odd considering the fact that Dr. Core and I were personally so good of friends that I would often play video games (Halo 2 on Xbox) with Dr. Core on his lunch in the new office, prior to this situation arising, as my home was, as Jan had mentioned, very close to this new office. But since they have been informed of their mistakes, Dr. Core has become a ghost. I can not get in touch with him after numerous attempts. Now, a lot of the work that was done is not holding up. The material on my front tooth is fading, maybe even blackening (no cavity anywhere though, nor any pain, there), some fillings are coming apart, and a post for a molar came out today. I called today in a last ditch effort to try and ask Dr. Core if we could figure something out, or if I could just get my records, and was again somewhat harassed by the receptionist, Jeremy, to the point that he was insulting me, my perspective on the office, as well as my view on the work done on my mouth. I've often considered just going in to the office to talk with Dr. Core personally, hoping we can directly solve this once and for all, as I feel his intermediaries are the ones to blame for all of our problems, but that seems incredibly awkward to be forced to address this in front of an office full of patients and workers, so I decided thus far against that option. I'm a business major, and recently I've learned that leadership starts from the top and works its way down. Dr. Core continuously allows his employees and wife to affect his patients lives, as well as the relationship the patient and the doctor have themselves. In my opinion, Dr. Core is judge, jury, and the jailer in a sense in that office, and I feel that by allowing this to happen to one of his loyal patients while these employees are under his direct supervision, is absolutely unacceptable conduct. I was referred to Dr. Core, and have referred several people myself to his office, prior to all of this. Actually, now that I think about it, I even recommended him to my cousin, even after all of this, because I knew my cousin just wanted good work, well work involving little or no pain anyway, so I forewarned him incredibly about the office's staff and the "billing department", and their combined practices. And now, I suppose, that is the same warning I offer you. I feel absolutely helpless and taken advantage of. This is the only compensation I can give myself, is to help you avoid a future problem here for any of you in the future. I was in the market for a new dentist office because I felt like my previous office was just trying to make money and didn't really care about me. I saw Dr. Brann a week ago and she was the best dentist I've ever had. She constantly checked with me to make sure I felt comfortable during my visit. She was extremely friendly and willing to answer my questions honestly. We went over my treatment plan and she told me what I should do to maximize my dental benefits. This is an awesome dentistry staff, by far the best I've ever gone to. I've never been a big fan of going to the dentist in my younger years due to my horrible experiences with them, but Dr. Core and his staff have completely dispelled all my anxieties of going to the dentist. They're all very professional, easy to talk to and ask questions, they really know their "stuff", and are very friendly. The office is beautiful, and calming, has a nice big screen TV to watch (usually cartoons for the kids, but I love toons!), and they offer you free water while you wait. Dr. Core and his staff have a great sense of humor, too, which I've personally found is helpful in making feel more relaxed. It doesn't matter what I'm going in for, whether it's a root canal, a check up or a simple routine cavity, I know they'll give me the best care possible. I'd also like to mention that if you are ever in need of a shot prior to work being done, Dr Core is a pro at this. I've never experienced a painless shot in my mouth until I started going to him. I don't know how he does it, but I just know that I no longer have any fears of needles getting anywhere near my mouth. I've been going to Dr. Core for several years now, and will frequently refer people to him when asked if I know of a good dentist. I am hooked, and a patient for life...
