Came here for a tournament where my niece and her team played. They ended up whipping the home team of Davis decidedly with a 5-0 win. Upsides: easy to locate which field, reasonably maintained fields with great seats around each. Downsides: had to fork over $10 (bring cash if you can) per vehicle, fields very close to one another I'd suggest they work on traffic control but then they'd charge more for parking. Getting a parking space got difficult as more and more people arrived (obviously) but they didn't run out. Not even sure the scoreboards work. I've always seen these fields lit up while traveling from Davis to Sac. Looks cool from the road...extra average up close. Glad they won. Would have been an even more depressing visit had they not. Considered riding my bike here as it's not far from the Davis house. VERY glad I didn't because that would have been a rather dangerous situation with folks wanting to get in and out of the facility as fast as they could. read more

Review #1,011 Posted on 3.3.26 We've came here for soccer tournaments, namely, state cup a few times now. Most recently for a State Cup final on Sunday the 1st of March. These field are right off the freeway on the frontage road there in Davis. Now not sure how long ago this started, but most of these fields charge you $10 to park. This place, hilarious enough then tries cash only, or you can park and send VenMo. It's 2026, what are we doing here? Surely you can afford 2 credit card readers to move this along quicker, even if the customer is the one to absorb the transaction fee (which they shouldn't) On a busy tourney weekend it can take you a very long time to get in & out of here. We're talking 30 minutes or more. To provide public fields, & to make the parking money alone, and not have real bathrooms, is wild to me. That's not even speaking to the quality of the fields....... What a mess these fields are, no rain the night prior yet, the fields were so dewy we probably had 20 girls combined slip and fall during a 1 hour game, they had about 10-12 sand areas too. I can live with the fields maybe being too wet as it's an 8:30 game, but multiple areas of the field with sand? To have a state cup final played on fields that poor should be unacceptable. I keep reading other areas saying the fields were excellent, not the case this weekend. I'm giving it 3 stars as the people of NorCal I know worked hard putting this event together quickly, and field quality for prior visits was better. They need to fix the parking issues though, you can't have people waiting that long to get inside the lot, especially with kids needing to warm up. You're making thousands of dollars a weekend from parking, buy credit card readers and call it a day. read more

Be warned: the parking situation here is horrific. Also, CASH ONLY, $10 per day as of 12/2023. Took 15-20 minutes upon arrival to get parked, and then the signage for fields is not obvious. We are here for a 10am game and a 2pm game. Left sac at 8:40, arrived 9, parked by 9:20. Can't leave for lunch during to fears of departing. One burrito truck for a thousand plus people. BRING FOOD. No running water or real bathrooms, portapotties and Purell only. What do they possibly do with all the parking funds? Bring a chair, no benches. Muddy in winter, be prepared! read more

Absolutely awful in every way except for the fields themselves. The parking situation is HORRIBLE. One lane in, one lane out for thousands of cars. We waited for 45 min to get into the parking lot and then find a spot. Then it took an hour to get out. There are no real bathrooms, just porta potties. One food truck that had a line hours long because no one wants to leave to get food because of the horrendous parking. Honestly an embarrassment for the NorCal soccer scene. I will never willingly participate in a tournament here again. read more

The location is not great. (Its in Davis, hello!) The Nugget field is even worse. Good luck finding it on your first time! The Davis complex parking situation is horrific. And study your field map BEFORE coming so you know where to park. I've been coming here for 3 years now for tournaments and I'm never thrilled about it. Worst part...NO SHADE. Can someone PLEASE plant a few trees around the gates?! Its scorching and miserable for everyone. Best part...the fields are immaculate and perfect for soccer. They look turf,but it's just scissor cut natural grass. It's very nice and well done. read more

This place is without a doubt a "Tier 1" youth soccer club! Our family have been out here for going on four seasons and have experienced top notch coaching and training the entire time. As you may have seen in other posts, traffic getting in and out of the facility can be challenging. This is especially true during tournaments. However, I would have to say that the quality of the impeccably manicured fields makes up for that. So, if you're coming out for a tournament be sure to arrive early and realize you are going to have to avail yourself to a port-a-potty if nature calls. However, you can rest assured that your kids will be playing on professional grade fields. read more

Your basic, bare-bones, soccer complex built on cheap land. In this case, wind-swept farmland between Davis and Sacramento. At least the parking was decent: $5 for the day; which is basically free if you've already traveled 100 miles that day and just want to get close to the fields. (and use the car as base camp). The fields themselves were in good shape. It's not astroturf, but some kind of thick, low-water variety of real grass. Dense and springy. Nicely done. Bathrooms: plenty of port-a-potties, and also a bathroom trailer, which is somewhat nicer. Did I mention it was windy? there's very little in the way of trees out here, and on both days of our tournament the wind made one field side more advantageous than the other. Not ideal. If they want to make this place a continuing business, they should really plant some more fast-growing windbreak trees. Concessions were extremely minimal; almost non-existent. Just one, tiny canopy was setup with a few basics. I wish I had spied this canopy the first day, when I was one coffee cup short of my usual, morning allotment. And on a bitter cold day too. If you don't want to be trapped in your car for hours because there is no traffic control for the one entrance and exit to this place, don't enter!! Hundreds of cars are sitting here not moving while more cars are just trying to get out of their parking spots!! Worst organization we have ever seen in nine years of soccer tournaments!! If you pull into this parking lot, expect to camp out!! Can not believe they actually have the audacity to ask people to pay for this!! But what are your options...? Hope we never have another tourney here! Too bad, too, 'cause I don't even remember if the fields were good or not, I'm so mad!! Update day two: 8:30 at night, only a quarter of the fields being used and sitting in the parking lot exit line PARKING LOT ... AGAIN!!! Traffic is just sitting here!! WORST ENTRANCE & EXIT PLAN EVER!!!Adding more fields to your complex is only a good idea IF you also have a plan for adding more ways to get in and out of the complex. Now you have double the amount of cars at a literal stand still having to wait to get into and out of 1 entrance and 1 exit. Got to our game an hour and 15 minutes early, and spent 15 minutes waiting to get in to the complex and another 10 min to get to our field. Now trying to get out with all the cars from the other 30 teams who had 11am games that all ended at the same time and sitting 20 minutes already having moved maybe 15 car lengths, and not anywhere near being close to the exit. Going to be Worse than trying to get out of Oakland Coliseum for a sold out event. This sucks!!! read more

This place is awful. It looks like it was laid out by a monkey. There are no signs and the staff is rude and yells at you when you go the wrong way. But there are no signs telling you what way to go. Modesto has a much better setup. People who work here need lessons on how not to be jerks read more

Love playing soccer tournaments here not to far from Sacramento so you can go back home on a break between games...these fields are awesome and always well kept. The grass is this super thick turf and springy. read more

I think it's hilarious... all these people bagging on what amounts to the best soccer complex in Northern CA. Is it dusty? Yeah... it can be... though they're working on that. It's a trade off, guys. You can't have that many amazing fields, which NOBODY else has, and have it completely paved, etc. After you've been there once you just know a carwash is coming. Are the bathroom facilities the best? No. What soccer complex doesn't offer porta-potties? Oh, that's right, the places with 2 stalls per sex and a line of 15 people ahead of you. Pick your poison, guys. That said, they have 2-5 stalls all over the complex so they're never far away. People that have been around soccer will tell you the fields are the best surface anywhere in NorCal. The enter/exit procedure is taxing, depending on your schedule, but you have to plan for that at any tournament you go to. But this garbage about waiting an hour to leave is stupid. I've been there 15-20 times and never waited more than 10-15 minutes. I'd love to know what clubs/fields these people bitching are from. Because I'm not aware of anyone that does it better than Davis. read more

These are some of the nicest fields I have played on! The grass is so well taken care of. I have no complaints about the complex.

Great fields. Plenty of fields and plenty of parking. There is only 1 exit for the whole lot and children conducting traffic. Be ready to spend at least 1 hour in your car while waiting to exit the lot. Parking is $5 so not bad. I'd suggest getting the few parking spots that are outside. Hard to be an optimist about this place while writing this review in complete stop traffic. Car is off. read more

Great fields, club runs smooth parking service and provides stationary easy ups for all teams. Our team lives playing there .

Total puke. Fields are okay but the parking is a dust bowl and the in/out process is so under planned. 30+ mins to get in, 30+ minutes to to get out. I get it's still under development but to have so many people coming, figure it out! read more
