I think she was actually going to pay, until her car broke down... Then she said your treat dad, lol. The things we do for our kids. We got the very last row of discounted seats and they were actually not bad. I like the fact no one was behind me. See pictures. Concerts especially with a pit = Approximately 19k people. Basketball games = 17,608 people Ambiance - A crazy busy venue. Well, it was sold out. Concerts especially with a pit = Approximately 19k people which still does NOT feel fire safe. Basketball games = 17,608 people. Almost 780k sq ft. Sacramento Kings home court. Parking = $20-100 for events. Plenty of street metered parking for $25, only 2 blocks away. If you preorder your parking, you can get it for $22. Decent amounts of food and drink options. Service - Security was smooth. Long lines but quick. Ushers were friendly. The men's room had an attendant, so clean. But mostly everything is self service. Glad someone opened the emergency exits, because thousands of people waiting to go down an escalator would have taken us over an hour! Price - Depending on your seats. My daughter waited until the last second and got discounted seats + parking, dinner, gas, toll, etc. totalled $200 for our father daughter date. Went 2x recently, for the Sacramento Kings Draft Party, and day 1 of the Summer League. Located downtown Sacramento, there are plenty of options for parking, most are parking garages within short walking distance, or there is some metered parking that may require a little longer and more adventurous walk to stadium. There is a strict bag policy so be sure to read up on it if you are taking in an event so as not to delay your entry. Going through security is easy enough, voth security. And the ticket scanner/door workers are always pleasant and efficient in processing you into the arena. Both the draft party, and summer league were informal, so most tickets were general admission and your were free to sit almost anywhere(barring the first 3 or 4 rows). (The draft party initially only had 5-7 sections open , but as the crowd grew closer to draft, more sections were opened . There were a few basic concessions open, for water, beer, hot dogs, chicken fingers, pizza, and a few of the other stands. Not all concessions that are normally open for concerts or regular season games were open, but was able to get chicken strips that were pretty good in quantity, and quality with fries and a beer. I saw Conan Gray here last march for the WBWT, and the acoustics were amazing. The staff were very friendly, and extremely helpful. The seats were also very comfortable for it being arena seating, and even though I was in the back, it felt like Conan was singing right in front of me, the acoustics were great. read more

The Golden 1Center and Sacramento Kings opened their doors to their season ticket holders for an Open Court Day, so members can show off their basketball skills and compete in a skills challenge, and raffle for prizes. Not all of us were competing, but just having fun on the court. It was also a nice way to cool off from the heat. This is just one of the benefits of being a Kings season ticket holder, and I must say, we sure deserve it, lol. read more

Golden 1 Center is primarily the home of the Sacramento Kings but not sure why I still have yet to see the Kings play here which is my big bad Lol However I have attended a few concerts at Golden 1 Center which is a nice concert venue! Recently attended the Journey Final Frontier Tour 2026 here on 04/21/2026. There are plenty of parking garages around the area and parked just across the street at the Old Macy's garage so it was a short walk. I was graced by May A's company and it was sooo cool to hangout with her! We had great seats at section 108, row G. Great sound at this spot! This is apparently Journey's farewell tour and Journey was awesome!! I've seen Journey once before years ago with lead singer Arnel Pineda and still a great singer. We had an amazing, fun time!! I do love this arena! The staff are always helpful, welcoming and friendly. It's a fantastic place for a concert and Kings game, since compared to other arenas, it's not too big. So even if you're sitting on the 2nd level, it's not that bad of a nosebleed. LOL I still don't like the fact that there aren't any cupholders up there. For that reason alone, I'll pay more to sit on the lower level! Pro tip: You can stand/or sit on a first come basis at either of the beer lounges, which is a nice option with a good view. The jumbotron is great. G1C really is one of the nicest arenas, so if you go early, it's a great idea to walk around both levels. There are a lot of local food/beverage options, aside from the regular concession stands (Do not get the nachos! The chips are terrible). Pro tip #2: Download the Kings ap and use it! My first time at the new arena! Parking: Super accessible. There are several garages nearby; expect to pay between $12 and $25. Food: Skip the generic stands and go for the "local gems." Having Cafe Bernardo and Centro inside makes the experience feel uniquely Sacramento. Great drink options throughout the concourse too. Merch: The team shop is huge. If you're looking for something specific, they have everything from hats to customized jerseys. The energy in the building is top-tier. I've been to the Golden 1 Center a few times for Kings Games and I like it! I like that it's a big "smaller" than other venues. Golden 1 Center reminds me of the SAP Center because once you walk in, you see the court/stadium and it's a short loop! No extra escalators or anything like that. All of my seats have been lower level and it is decent seats/views! If you come early enough, you can see the players warm up! The food lines are pretty quick too! Same with the women's restroom. All of the staff that I've interacted with was nice too. Outside of the Golden 1 Center, there are a bunch of shops and restaurants which is nice (and reminds me of Chase Center). There are parking garages and street parking. I parked once in the garage and did street parking the other times. I love how close the parking is to Golden 1 Center. read more

It's hard to choose how many stars. Saw Andrea Bocelli and the show was spectacular. What really hurt our experience was all the people on their cell phones, taking pictures and recording. At one time we had 5 or 6 people sitting right in front of us cell phones held up, bright as bright could be, recording the performance. The cells are so very distracting it really ruins the experience. I am surprised, and was disappointed, the arena doesn't do anything to stop this distraction. I enjoy going to events at Golden 1 Center, whether it's a Sacramento Kings basketball game, Disney On Ice, a show, or a concert, especially when I win suite tickets! The suites are very nice, and the service is helpful and friendly. They also offer vegan options, which I really appreciate. I love this arena! We go to 8 to 10 Sacramento Kings games a year and have attended many concerts and special events here. They have the best staff and security around and amazing customer service. We have a favorite parking spot that is a 2 minute walk to the entrance of the Golden 1 and a special parking lot that leads directly into the arena when we have courtside tickets. It really is easy in and easy out - the convenience is great! The arena is fairly new and the staff takes a lot of pride in keeping it clean and beautiful. Sacramento is very fortunate to have such a beautiful venue to hold big moments for the community! read more

We aren't often in Sacramento, and didn't know much about this venue. In June we were invited to our niece's graduation ceremony from UC Davis, which was held at the Golden 1 Center. We were able to find parking nearby at an independent parking garage. The walk to the outdoor gathering space was easy. It took a while to clear through security and get inside; in fact, we missed the first 20 minutes or so of the event waiting in the queue outside. Safety is important, but we weren't last minute arrivees, so the entrance protocol seemed to be slow. Once we did get inside we were greeted with a clean facility and friendly staff to help guide us to where open seating still existed. It happened up be up in the nosebleed seats. Despite being far from the action on the floor of the arena, the way the spectator seats are designed, plus the big screen TV's, I felt close to the event. I marveled at the overall architecture of the facility. It would be fun to watch a basketball game or other entertainment at this center. One of the reasons that I deducted a star is that as someone with long legs, the legroom wasn't that adequate for me. I became more uncomfortable as time went on for the ceremony, which took quite a long time to complete. As mentioned before, getting people in through security seemed to take a long time to accomplish. That was a second deduction from an ideal experience. I would still choose to attend events at this center, but would try to get seats closer to the performance floor level - at least half way, instead of way up high. read more

Last night's Playboi Carti concert at the Golden 1 Center was nothing short of electric -- from the moment I parked to the final lights-out roar of the crowd, everything about this venue and experience was perfectly smooth and high-energy in all the right ways. Let's start with parking -- honestly one of the easiest concert arrivals I've had at a major arena. Downtown Sacramento can get chaotic on event nights, but Golden 1 Center has their system dialed in. Signs were clear, attendants were friendly and professional, and I found a spot within minutes. Leaving afterward was just as seamless -- traffic flowed efficiently, and I was out of the garage and on I-5 in less than ten minutes. The moment I walked up to the arena, the vibe was unreal. The crowd energy was buzzing -- people dressed in full Opium-inspired fits, camera flashes everywhere, and the bass from the sound check already rumbling through the pavement. The staff at the entrance handled the lines quickly and courteously, scanning tickets with zero hassle. Security was on point but not overbearing -- friendly, efficient, and respectful. Inside, the venue itself looked immaculate. You can tell Golden 1 Center is kept in top shape -- everything from the polished floors to the sparkling restrooms (yes, even mid-concert) showed how much pride the staff takes in maintaining the space. Concessions were clean, lines moved fast, and the staff kept smiles on their faces all night despite the huge crowd. I was seated in Section 122 and the view was perfect -- close enough to feel the energy but still wide enough to take in the full stage design. The acoustics in this arena are next-level. You could feel every bass drop from Carti's set, but it was clean and balanced -- not the usual muffled distortion you sometimes get at big shows. The lighting setup was insane: flashing strobes, blood-red beams, smoke bursts timed perfectly with the beats -- the production team absolutely crushed it. And Playboi Carti himself? Pure chaos in the best possible way. The energy in that building was unreal -- mosh pits breaking out, fans screaming every lyric, the floor bouncing like a living heartbeat. Every track hit harder than the last, and the transitions were flawless. You could tell Carti feeds off his crowd -- the intensity, the movement, the wild sense of community that forms in those moments. One thing I really appreciated was how attentive and cool the staff were throughout. I saw employees handing out water to overheated fans, helping people find their seats, and keeping everything under control without ever killing the vibe. It felt safe, organized, and fun all at once -- a perfect balance. When the show finally ended and the lights came up, the whole place was glowing. Cleanup crews were already out making sure exits stayed clear and trash was picked up -- another detail that shows how well-run this venue is. Overall, Golden 1 Center delivered an A+ experience from start to finish. Easy parking, spotless facilities, organized entry, great staff, and world-class production made this one of the best concert nights I've had in years. Went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra and got seats in the 115 area. We try to get seats in the lower level because the upper level is very steep. The rows are quite close so be prepared to shimmy past people when getting to your seat. They have a good selection of restaurants and many options for beer, cocktails and wine but expect to pay quite a bit for it. There are plenty of restrooms and typically not a long wait. Some restrooms have red/green lights to let you know what is open. read more

I was here for a large convention and the facility was very nice. The restrooms were clean and accessible. Access in and out was handled well, even with the increased security in our modern age. The sound system was well balanced, it was easy to hear the entire program. The video screen throughout the building made it possible to not miss any part of the program, not matter where you were seated. read more

I really like this arena! It's clean, brand new, and just a beautiful building. The area gets traffic during games and concerts, but not as bad as other cities and arenas. From concerts to basketball games, to graduation ceremonies, this arena hosts big moments for Sacramento. There are lower level and higher level seats, and even the higher level seats are not terrible. Getting into the arena is generally a smooth process and I like that they have a bag valet service (since big purses are not allowed in the building). I like the food they serve. They do an excellent job at highlighting local businesses and Sacramento's farm to fork culture. read more

My goal is to attend all 30 NBA stadiums across the entire US. I've been to about 10 so far. Golden 1 Center is one of the best looking basketball arenas I've been to. Parking does suck though. There are garages in the downtown area but traffic is horrible. The parking fees ranges from $25+. The food is mediocre. The water bottle is about $7 a bottle but they do have water refill stations all around. Security did not let me bring an unopened water bottle so I had to trash it. The bathrooms are large and clean. I like the open concept of the arena where you can see the Kings basketball court from almost anywhere. If you go to the 3rd floor, there are 2 bars so you can get a drink and stand to watch the game. It gets packed really fast so get there and save a spot for you and your partner. read more

The staff here is rude! We went to monster jam and paid for the pit party. They closed the lines for 3 trucks by 10 a.m. We walked around and when we got back to a line they had let more people in. I spoke to guest services and was told it was the monster jam staff that determined when to close the line. I understand they can't be open all day, but 30 minutes in lines were closed. My home venue, how could I not love this place? Whether it's concerts or a Sacramento Kings game, I always leave with the best experience. The many times I have been here, any staff or security that I've come across are never overly rude or seem like they hate their job, unlike other venue spaces. Actually I find them quite friendly and welcoming-- every Kings game, there's always an employee happily feeding into the excited vibes of the crowd. Back in 2021-ish, something about their sound/audio systems during concerts used to make my ears hurt, but since I've been to concerts in the past 2 years, it seems like they either fixed the issue or did something to it to where I don't have that same sensation anymore, lol. read more

I want to love this but it has one major flaw - the seating. I'm a pretty small person and I even have a hard time fitting into the seats. Not the mention they hurt your back! This makes for an extremely uncomfortable experience and also days of pain later. Everything else is great- but the seating is so horrible that I don't think I'll be going here again. Recently visited this arena! This area is huge! Multiple levels and even box level seats. Easy to find, but you might need to rush yourself to your seat since it could be a far walk. Plenty of food options to choose from. Anything that is tickling your fancy that specific day. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were the right amount of crispy. Delicious. Really? The average person with a 9-5 job can't even access this venue. Very sad what our society has come to. The staff are always friendly they're consistently cleaning the bathrooms the always and the seating areas are always clean and ready for the next game I am a season ticket holder for Kings games and visit their regularly this town the lights the visual from your seats it's all great to me. I do not knock them for the second level most Arenas have second levels that make you feel like you're going to fall so I don't buy second level tickets not sure why people would give lower stars for this issue but golden one is a great place to visit they have security they're always on point and you feel safe. read more

Son, wife, and I watched the Kings play the Suns as part of our Thanksgiving vacation. This was the first time any of us had been to this venue. The area surrounding the arena has lots of good restaurants, bars, and shops. Old Town and Downtown are short walks away. These factors were about the last positive experience we had here. Besides placing an inferior product on the court, the arena itself is terrible. It reminded me of a higher level D1 NCAA stadium, not a pro arena. The second ring seats (where we sat) are super steep and the air conditioning outputs are overhead, so we froze. I don't know when they last cleaned the ducts, but the roof panels around each output was black and dirty. I can just imagine how dirty the circulating air is. The female usher in our section, for some reason, was extremely concerned with people having their legs hanging over the seats in front of them. This was an hour before tip-off, when about ten people total were in our section. After the game ended, her job then shifted to rushing people out of the section. I bet she's glad she has this job, where she can be in charge and "show her power." I almost gave her a couple of bucks and was going to tell her to buy a personality, but I passed. In conclusion, the area surrounding the arena is worth it, the arena itself not so much so. read more

Nothing about this place deserves less than 4 stars. Came here for my first Kings game. The surrounding area is super cool. Walkable. Great transportation. And has lots of food and drink options. Not a bad seat in the arena. Every spot is a good view. I was up in the 200s on the Monday night I went. Because there are a bunch of ways to enter, there isn't a ton of long lines to get in. Drinks went around 15 bucks and food was about the same. And you'll pay about 7 dollars for snacks. Escalators and elevators are available and plentiful which makes it pretty good accessibility wise. The stairs are steep though. And that's really the only knock. Be careful and slow when going up and down. Some areas are railing-less. read more
