We stopped in with my kids after a soccer tournament. I felt unwanted and preemptively judged like we weren't going to make a purchase. Slow to help us, gave us inaccurate information on availability of laceless cleats for smaller youth sizes, and prices were higher than the Nike online store. It was state cup weekend so I'm sure they were inundated with youth soccer families, but they lost a sale in us. read more

Store is incredibly messy. Boxes everywhere. On top of that. I can't try the jerseys on. Which is ridiculous considering I had button down shirt. Made me try it over my shirt. I don't see the difference between putting the jersey on and it touching my hair and face. No other sporting store does that ever. The tall and cute guy manning the store was friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions-- gave me helpful advice and suggestions for shoe sizing. Went in for a larger size cleat for my 5 year old son. Found one pair in the right size and the owner asked if we had started playing yet, I said yes and that my son's cleats are too small as his practice socks are thicker at the bottom than normal socks. The owner began to dispute what I was saying about my son's socks being thicker at the bottom than warned me not to buy cleats too large. I acknowledged and started to pay when the owner persisted that it was unlikely my son's socks were thicker at the bottom to which I said I wasn't there to argue, just buy cleats. He told me he wasn't arguing and I was taking his unsolicited sock expertise the wrong way. I canceled my purchase and will try Soccer City or some other sporting goods store. Walked in to purchase cleats and a couple Jerseys for my husband and I. The staff member"helping" us was rude and constantly mentioning prices as if we could not afford to purchase shoes. Buyer beware should be this stores motto. We went in while in Davis for a tournament to pick up a pair of shin guard sleeves for our kid. We paid their 15.00 for 10.00 sleeves gladly to get them for our son. Unfortunately they wouldn't fit our son with his large evoshield guards. No return unless for store credit even with receipt is what we were told. Would not have been a problem but they did not have a larger size... is that my fault?This policy is not posted in the store or printed on our receipt. 15.00 wont break me but it will keep me from ever going to this store again. Beware of the scam........ Was there Yesterday to buy my son soccer shoes and left with no shoes and really upset. My son chose shoes that he wanted and they didn't have the size so we chose more and more but all the same story, just to clear something up all teh shoes we look at was from $50-$70. Few min after he come with shoes that look the same like the other and said "good news they also black and white and i have your size". Overpriced goods, but had what we needed in a pinch.

We have kids on the local club and in AYSO locally. This is the store to go to anywhere near Davis as they have the best gear and staff. The staff is all players or coaches and know everything about shoe, cleat, and glove fit and what players need for different ages and competition levels. The owner Rommy (SP?) is awesome. He is so helpful in getting the right fit with you kids. Always a good experience here. read more

My soccer cleats of 10+ years have finally worn out so I decided to stop by. I didn't know where to start nor did I know what soccer shoes are in style but the store owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very patient and allowed me to try a variety of Adidas and Nike cleats. He then suggested and gave me the chance to try one of the best soccer cleats he had on display AND even sold it to me for half the price. During these hard times in a pandemic, he was willing to sell me one of the best performing shoes at a very generous price. I'm extremely grateful for his help and generosity. Great service! I was in picking up a new pair of boots for intramural soccer and the store owner kindly explained to me the difference between two pairs of boots and let me try them on patiently. There was a decent selection of shoes and merchandise in the store. I was checking out and we were making small talk and he even threw in a Man U calendar with my purchase at the end of the transaction. This owner is a big scammer. Watch out. I bought cleats here that had a defect so I brought them in to return. Oh guess what, no returns only store credit. This is probably the only place in America that doesn't accept returns for cash. Even Safeway gives your money back. Anyways. I accepted the store credit. But then the owner says he won't take the cleats back since I didn't have the paper wrapping and he can't sell them to anyone else without the paper. What a joke. A shoe store and they don't have any extra papers laying around? He won't give my money back for cleats that are defective? Don't even bother buying stuff here because they are always over priced. Check the price of whatever you're buying vs what is online and it will be way cheaper. Do not trust this store owner. THE BEST shop to get soccer shoes in Davis. What a lot of people dont know is that Big 5, Dicks and other big companies sell the poor quality versions of the shoes that nike and Addidas make. They may be more expensive at Soccer and Lifestyle but you are buying quality shoes that will last. The Staff is fantastic and is always willing to help out customers. Rami has been a savior for the Davis High Boy's soccer team this fall. The school switched to a bulk supplier in Sacramento called Athletics Unlimited for all the teams gear. What a mistake. I bought some overpriced Nike shoes to play on a turf field on Friday, recommendation of the seller because they didn´t have the size of the Adidas I was looking for. I tried them on for 5 minutes and put back my cleats again. The shows were very heavy, uncomfortable and made my uncles hurt. Today, Monday, I took the shoes back, and I the person in the store refuse to return my money or give me credit for the crappy shoes he sold me. I must say I've been to many soccer stores but this is one of the best just because of cleat selection and variety of socks, jerseys, cleats. When people say "expensive cleats" they're right but they don't realize those cleats are literally world class and the best of the best and if you would like extremely high quality cleats and you're a very high level player it is your decision to buy the shoe or not. read more

This is a fun little store right in downtown Davis. They have what you'd expect from a soccer store -- balls, shinguards, jerseys, cleats, etc. The prices are kinda high, but the only other place to get soccer stuff is from Target, and their merchandise just never works out for me. read more
