I moved from the 1st floor to the third floor of an apartment building (with elevator). The whole thing took about 2.5 hrs. Alex helped organize the move and was a pleasure to work with. Adequate floor protection was not provided as promised. They refused to remove a TV from storage unless we bought a box from them. Did NOT assemble our bed and left many large items with plastic wrap still on them for us to do. (We are elderly and I am disabled!) They had stacked things too high on one trip and boxes went falling into the ground. Friendliness and timeliness are average (was supposed to take six hours and took 8). Cost initially seemed that it was going to be better than average. Can't say I would recommend them based on today's move but maybe I'm just too tired after this day! read more

Apparently, this company is complaining that my reviews are either untrue or exaggerated. This is the last thing I would waste my time doing. I Still Don't have my items lost: My son's unique art piece, my vision board (I can make another one), my Music books (some never arrived, others did). My son's piece was a one-of-a-kind like treasure I had wanted to keep and took them at their word, but now this company still deflects, complaining against my review although IT IS 100% true. Truth can't be changed or altered, Legacy. IF IT WERE NOT TRUE OR WERE EXAGGERATED, I WOULD REFLECT THIS AND REMOVE THE REVIEW. BUT EVERY WORD IS TRUE. They want some positive: They moved heavy items down three flights' stairs. Hard work! They delivered everything else. BUT WHY SHOULD I POST AN UNTRUTH BECAUSE THEY THEMSELVES ARE THREATENED OR FEAR LOSING THEIR LICENSE? RATHER THAN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY EXPERIENCE, THEY'RE BLAME-SHIFTING because I had written an initial review praising their efforts. I'm pretty sure Jeffrey--the guy with the full-face mask who stayed out in the truck forever--is the one who lost the hardware. He brought my rolled-up tapestry inside, but the hardware was completely missing, even though I know I taped it to the roll securely. Legacy Movers replaced that hardware. Why is this company trying to say they didn't do this, and blame-shif, also stating that I had a prior positive review--which I had because I had believed I had a great experience at first. If I'm missing my son's piece, I am missing my son's piece, and the specific music books mentioned- never got those!!! They continue to blame-shift and discredit me and my reviews (due to some other items, like my coats, that I gratefully later did find) and say it was I who lost them! I DID NOT NOR WOULD NOT BE OTHER THAN HIGHLY CAREFUL WITH MY SON'S ARTPIECE. My music books can be replaced. The sentiment and invaluable artpiece CAN'T BE REPLACED. THERE IS NO WAY I CAN ALTER THE TRUTH. I SHOULD HAVE PACKED MY SON'S ARTPIECE IN MY OWN CAR. I've learned my lesson. I am being 100% truthfully, wholely truthful; there is NO EXAGGERATION HERE. Sorry, Andrew; you yourself would not have done that, but your employee, did. James and the other mover seemed to do fine. TRUTH IS THAT I NEVER FOUND MY AFOREMENTIONED ITEMS. I should have taken them in my own vehicle- never entrusting super-precious items. You can try to discredit me, blame-shift, deflect, but then,... where is my son's piece? We had a smooth process working with Legacy Moving from beginning to end. Initially, I had received a quote for double the price from a different moving company. Luckily, I came on to Yelp and realized they had horrible reviews. I found Legacy by using the feature to get quotes from multiple business at once. Read through some reviews and new they could be trusted to do a good job!! They quoted me for a very reasonable price for three movers for four hours. They also brought a huge truck and were able to fit sooo much stuff in their truck (which I was initially worried about). We were moving office furniture from Denver to Centennial. There was one set of stairs they needed to take. But they were so efficient about going up and down, even with a dolly for heavier pieces. They also wrapped up fragile parts and corners of the furniture in saran wrap. The best part was they finished almost an hour early and they reduced the price on their quote right on the spot. Since they saved me $100 and one hour, I tipped $20 to each mover plus a Santiagos burrito! All around, great!! read more

I could not plug them in because they buried the plugs in the recliners. I sent numerous messages and pictures re the furniture damage. They have ignored me. TLDR: Legacy Moving completed my move under the original quote. Did I mention we moved during winter? Props to the moving team! I love Yelp's request a quote feature where you can submit a project proposal and have the businesses essentially bid on you as customer. I received 4 quotes from various companies. Legacy was the one we landed on an we have no regrets. --$195/hour for 3 movers. --$125 truck and fuel fee. --$100 deposit prior to the move that is applied to the total price. Mario, Kaleb and Corey were the 3 movers in charge of our place. Granted our old place has a long, tricky side walk and a downstairs basement. So the fact they moved everything in a timely manner was beyond impressive. They did a great job and I had to shout them out by name! After reviewing all our major furniture pieces and such, we don't see any dings or dents or anything broken. Ultimately, movers can add up in price so I was relieved they completed the job under the original quote. Will recommend Legacy to anyone I know moving. Thanks again Legacy team! read more

I discovered Legacy Moving Denver researching local businesses and wanted to price compare them to a previous moving company I used and was familiar with. Right of the bat, Elijah was friendly, courteous and thorough in walking me through my anticipated move. He was patient and understanding in answering my various questions. There were no hidden charges and I was able to secure movers despite it being the MDW holiday. My movers, Mario and Matt, showed up timely and communicated easily during moving day. They both worked fast and efficiently; I appreciated the attention to detail when wrapping up my furniture pieces and they were careful in transporting my valuables. They also put back together the furniture they dissambled. From start to finish, I was impressed with Mario and Matt. Mario is a pro at parking that ginormous truck like it was a sports car! I was disappointed that there was some damage, while minor, to a few items. For example, my TV stand wasn't secured to the TV as I had thought. My guest bedroom sheets were ripped during the bed installation. The brackets for my window treatments were left behind at my old place. We did complete my move within the anticipated time of 3 hours. Even though I had limited pieces of furniture, they were heavy and/or large pieces. Overall, Legacy Moving made my move seamless and quite painless. It was a great experience and I would recommend them. If I had to relocate again, I would reach out to them but maybe supervise the unpacking and setting up process with the guys to ensure satisfaction and address any issues at the time. read more

Sadly I have to adjust my review from October from a 5 star rating to 2 stars. I hired Legacy Moving to get me out of the storage unit they had moved me into months prior. Unfortunately, their lack of communication and zero response from my concerns were never addressed. Below is the email I sent the owner Andrew. Hi Andrew, I wanted to send you my thoughts in an email, because I prefer to give this type of feedback in private (most times). First, the movers could not have been nicer. However, they showed up about 90 minutes late. I was told by your dispatch guy that the 1:00 PM time is actually a window and not the arrival time. Unfortunately, that was never relayed to me in this instance or when I first used you last October. Also, when I called your dispatch person the first time he said that he would get right back to me (he never did). I called a second time and he said he had gotten busy and will try again. During that 90 minutes that I waited I took it upon myself to bring 95% of my items to the first floor of the storage area. It took your drivers one hour to complete and I still paid for two hours - something else that wasn't relayed to me. Hoping we can come to a solution on this since I basically spent 90 minutes completing the task myself. I've had nothing but a great experience with your company and hope to do so should I need something in the future. read more

I had a recent move that was quoted for 6 hours after a virtual visit to account for all of the furniture, appliances, and boxes to fit in their truck. On the day of the visit, the lead was not told about the appliances and had to discuss signing liability waivers after an hour of back and forth. The person I talked to on the phone about moving the appliances told me the movers had done it before, but they didn't! They broke the water lines on my washer and almost ripped the cord for my dryer. That wasn't even the worst part. After almost 9 hours of moving, we went back to the original place, and about 30% of our boxes and some large furniture wasn't even moved. We had to reschedule cleaners and hire different movers to finish moving shelves, nightstands, TVs, and other boxes. They said that "[they] moved all the things we were told to move" even though my quote outlined all of the major pieces. It's been a couple weeks since the move and we're still finding damages on our furniture, missing pieces, and no one is responding to our email. At this point, reading all of the other reviews, I definitely got the short end of the stick and I would never recommend them. read more

**REVIEW UPDATE** I had initially given Legacy 5 stars (original review below), but after spending a few weeks unpacking, I have to only give 3 stars as a lot more of our belongings were damaged from the move than I originally realized and a few of the bigger items were put together so poorly that we've had to re-do things, meaning we wasted time and money. I know things can get damaged when moving, but it's way more than we anticipated unfortunately. They scuffed and put dings in the place I was moving out of. They pulled apart my bed frame and didn't put it back together for me. I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere for a mover. First off, they pulled a bait & switch on me. When I placed my request with Christian, he guaranteed my move would not cost over $1025. In the end, I was charged $1975.00. I made several calls beforehand to confirm and reiterate that I wanted them to do ALL my packing & move. Each time I was told it was on the order. Day of the move, I get two guys who were shocked because no one told them they would be packing. Then, after a long day of packing & finally at the new location, I find several of my items broken. Mostly it was artwork & crystal that was broken. A few of my items mysteriously never made it to the new location, even though my old place was completely empty. In the end, I was offered a hefty $2.40 refund (which I never received) for my broken items. This was my worst nightmarish move I've had to deal with. I hired legacy moving for a recent move. I hired 3 movers total. All 3 movers took their time loading their truck. in many instances the movers wouldn't use a dolly to move loads of boxers, but instead would grab one small sized box, another mover would grab a small box from the basement and walk a longe route in my house to load their truck truck. Wouldn't recommend this moving company to anyone. The movers rode the clock, didn't use dolly's and took their time to move me and charge me as much as possible to move. stay away from this place. read more

This is the second time that we have used Legacy Moving and once again we got stellar service. The team was on time and when they needed more help the main office sent more people. We have very heavy fine antiques and this company moved it all to central Missouri without even a scratch. They unloaded the furniture at my Missouri home, which was built in 1847 and they didn't even scratch the wooden floors despite putting in the very heavy antiques in the home. We hired legacy moving for our single family home, short distance move. After an in-person home inspection, they gave me a quote right afterwards. However, I didn't receive it via email. After calling them - the telephone support is very good, no robots, you speak to an agent very quickly -, they noticed that the quote wasn't sent out yet. Once I received it, I noticed that they put down the wrong address and misspelled my name. Fortunately, one quick call resolved this issue. On the day of the move, the movers contacted me with an ETA as promised and showed up on time. They were very friendly, professional, and fast during the loading and disassembly of my furniture. Extremely disappointed at how our move turned out! I got a quote from legacy moving and after giving a list of things in the house they told me 2 people would be doing the move and I was originally quoted for 4.5 hours after being told that they wouldn't even need the entire time quoted. They were on time to reach our house to begin the move and within an hour they told me that they need to add, rather they would like to have a third guy come in to move things faster, we agreed! We had to rush them a little bit because things were very slow! It was past 5.5 hours so we had already exceeded the quoted time. I understand that certain furniture can take longer to be assembled and finally the move was done in 6 hours. We paid them and thought we were done, it was around 8.30 pm. The next day when started unboxing, we are seeing nails around the house, the tv stand was broken, my vanity mirror was missing - it was disassembled and left in the old house, the tv unit has missing shelves - it's been 3 days and we don't know where those shelves are, I found bed slats lying in the garage, the dryer hose was left in the old house and a lot of other things!!! Maybe there's more that I'm yet to find out. I'm still finding nails in the house and I don't know what furniture it belongs to. We went with Legacy moving because of their reviews on Yelp and Thumbtack and because they are " budget friendly" but we paid over $1000 and we are extremely disappointed and frustrated!
