Caused mold in my apartment, I couldn't stay there again then after repair the apartment smelled like a hardware store... corner upstair neighbors in building 10 mad dog you from their balcony when you drive up , people park in two lanes to tag team a spot for buddies management don't do nothing about. Look away honestly.

DONT LIVE HERE! After moving from the east coast to Texas, I was excited to start a new journey…read moreafter staying with family. I applied here and got more than excited when I obtained the approval. The location and pricing were attractive and located near my child's school. TOTAL SCAM! Well, my excitement didn't last long because after I was approved I received a call from Rachel telling me that I would be charged an additional full months rent with very little explanation. That should have been a sign but I proceeded with the move. After moving into a 2 bedroom, I soon within hours discovered that the unit was outdated and infested with roaches. Once I advised the Gina, I was told that the unit was clean so I literally had to demand out of the lease and for the apartment to be sprayed. I also asked to be moved to a better unit and was initially told by Brittany that they only could offer me a 1 bedroom at the some rate as a 2 bedroom. LIES. After a day I asked to be let out of the lease, again, well out of the air, I was informed that a new updated new unit was available. So I was moved to a corporate suite (for a week, while I waited for my unit) with my 6 year old and had to do all this moving alone, I was told that maintenance couldn't help. I soon learned that the new updated 2 bedroom wasn't actually an upgrade but it was simply cleaner than the ROACH infested unit. Making matters worse, after finally settling into a unit, I learned that the neighbors don't pick up after their dogs so getting to my apartment was nasty and disgusting. I soon faced personally problems and asked out of my lease after only being there for less than a month and was told "no" after all they put me through, they intended to report a lease termination on my credit report. STAY AWAY, the staff present as nice but it's not a good place, it's dirty, people don't pick up after pets, old appliances and is prone to roaches. SCAMMERS!

TL;DR: This place is NOT worth it. Do yourself a favor, find somewhere else to live…read more Exterior View: 3/10 -- I had a South-facing window so my apartment got plenty of natural sunlight, but the abandoned strip mall to the South is decrepit and had busted parking lot lights that would strobe my windows at night. Not much in the way of natural beauty either. Interior Layout: 5/10 -- Not terrible, had 740 sqft of room and made the best of it. The kitchen was comically small, and you realistically only got 2 normal-sized cabinets to put stuff in. I had also seen the interior of other units, and it appears that some units were lucky enough to have an interior renovation done, but not mine. Cleanliness: 1/10 -- When I arrived the trim was gritty with dirt and hair, especially in the bathroom. The floors were covered in little white paint spots from the crappy job the 3rd party contractors did before I moved in. Thankfully the place was swept and mopped, but the patio slide door was completely broken, the window screens were just barely hanging on and were torn, and the outdoor closet was full of bug nests and other little pieces of junk. Don't forget about the pests! Even with their pest control, which was laughable due to how little effort they put into it, if you turned on the kitchen light at night you would see no less than 5 cockroaches go skittering back into their hiding places behind the countertops. My recommendation: you'll need to DIY your pest control or hiring someone else. Noise Levels: 1/10 -- You live across the street from the city police station and fire department who are answering calls 24/7, good luck trying to get a full night's sleep. Maintenance Responsiveness: 7/10 -- The maintenance guys were great, Tim in particular was awesome. Their timing was pretty average, but if you have an A/C or water issue they'll be there ASAP. It's worth noting that for some jobs they hire 3rd part contractors. The first night after I moved in the shower pipe in my wall exploded and started leaking water into the master bedroom. It took them 2-3 days to get contractors in, and when they were finished it looked like the repair job had been done by a couple amateurs. They didn't bother repainting the walls the tore down or replacing the proper fixtures, they just said "eh, good enough" and walked away. Amenities (Pool, Gym, etc.): 2/10 -- Never used the pools, but they seemed clean enough. My issue is with the laundry rooms. There is no in-unit laundry, but there are laundry rooms that you have to pay to use. Management would randomly close the laundry rooms without any notice, leading to some late night trips to the laundromat down the street more than half a dozen times. No joke, they had to close one of the laundry rooms down for a couple months because someone (an adult) pooped in one of the machines. These kinds of people will be your neighbors. Parking: 8/10 -- The parking spots are decent, but make sure your car's info is entered into their parking system. They towed my car once because I forgot to update my info when I got my plates changed. That will cost you about $250-$300, not to mention the taxi costs to get you to the impound lot in CENTRAL SAN ANTONIO. Safety / Security: 0/10 -- Literally watched a kidnapping happen in front of my window in the South parking lot, thankfully the police ran the lady down on the West side of the compound. There's also a couple units where you can VERY clearly hear the domestic violence. Management / Office Staff: 8/10 -- Their attitude varies between genuinely helping, and giving you the "oh well we did the bare minimum and can't help you more than that, here's your bill" treatment. Oh, and don't forget that they'll charge you a cleaning fee in the hundred of dollars when you move out, even if you leave the place virtually spotless, mine was around $150. Value for Rent Price: 2/10 -- You can get so much better in the local area for the same price, if not less. More modern constructions with nicer interiors, better management, gated parking, the whole lot. This place is past its prime. Overall Experience: 0/10 -- All thing's considered, this place sucked. I remember trying to convince my friend to live here because of the "refer a friend" discount, and looking back on it I think my friend dodged a bullet by saying "no thanks." Seriously, do yourself a favor and DO NOT LIVE HERE.

We…read morespent a few days here prior to moving to look for an apartment and we had numerous great options. When we came to the springs at live oak, it was initially very clean and we enjoyed the tour and how friendly staffed appeared and how well they knew their tenants. I think it was when our leasing agent began pressuring us into getting this apartment is when I took the wrong turn. We were sitting at her desk talking about options to which she asks us who else was on our list of tours. She then proceeded to call every other apartment we were looking at to compare their prices to hers and tell us now we don't need to look because she had done all the work for us. I definitely wish I had taken the time to go and look. We rented with a detached garage. I don't think we had too many issues with the apartment itself. I had mentioned before that it appeared to be really clean. And part of me was impressed with the bit they had about the dog poop thing where they would pick up any dog poop and "dna test it." That never happened and there was literally dog shit everywhere. I watched a neighbor pick up bags of dog poop and take that handful of bags to the leasing office himself because we were tired of all the mess. There was also a point in time, with the damn wash bay, where it just wasn't functional. A few of my husbands things were even stolen while he was in the wash bay. And don't get me started about the "gated community" bit too. We wanted a gated community to feel safer about where we lived. We were moving into a new state and knew NO ONE but that damn gate was always broken because people kept driving through it when it says "timed for one car only." I don't think anyone got in trouble for braking it either. That gate was open 80% of the time that i lived here. Other than those few complaints they really worked with us when it came to our relocation/next duty station. Though a little bit pricier-- it was appreciated.

the management made it appear that we were important during the tour. however, the communication…read morefrom the office is non existent. it's disturbing that you make complaints or share issues with your apartment and they don't care to fix the issues. disappointed is an understatement.
