No one ever answers the phone or gets back to you when you leave a voicemail. Theres been trash outside the apartment and patio area which I'm assuming fell from one of the upstair apartments). It does not look appealing. It has been over 2 weeks and no one has picked it up. I let the front office know and was told they'll come by. Its been a week and I went by the office again and the front office lady said there was no request and she'll send someone out. Let's see if anyone actually comes this time.

It's alright. They are nice and it's a little bit in the bad joo joo stuff. Looking forward to moving out in s month away from this area. Looking for a new start if not in San Antonio most definitely in the country.

My husband and I first moved to San Antonio because he was stationed here for a short while. We…read morespent a few days here prior to moving to look for an apartment and we had numerous great options. When we came to the springs at live oak, it was initially very clean and we enjoyed the tour and how friendly staffed appeared and how well they knew their tenants. I think it was when our leasing agent began pressuring us into getting this apartment is when I took the wrong turn. We were sitting at her desk talking about options to which she asks us who else was on our list of tours. She then proceeded to call every other apartment we were looking at to compare their prices to hers and tell us now we don't need to look because she had done all the work for us. I definitely wish I had taken the time to go and look. We rented with a detached garage. I don't think we had too many issues with the apartment itself. I had mentioned before that it appeared to be really clean. And part of me was impressed with the bit they had about the dog poop thing where they would pick up any dog poop and "dna test it." That never happened and there was literally dog shit everywhere. I watched a neighbor pick up bags of dog poop and take that handful of bags to the leasing office himself because we were tired of all the mess. There was also a point in time, with the damn wash bay, where it just wasn't functional. A few of my husbands things were even stolen while he was in the wash bay. And don't get me started about the "gated community" bit too. We wanted a gated community to feel safer about where we lived. We were moving into a new state and knew NO ONE but that damn gate was always broken because people kept driving through it when it says "timed for one car only." I don't think anyone got in trouble for braking it either. That gate was open 80% of the time that i lived here. Other than those few complaints they really worked with us when it came to our relocation/next duty station. Though a little bit pricier-- it was appreciated.

the management made it appear that we were important during the tour. however, the communication…read morefrom the office is non existent. it's disturbing that you make complaints or share issues with your apartment and they don't care to fix the issues. disappointed is an understatement.

As someone who is on his third apartment search in as many years, I am familiar with the poor state…read moreof apartment reviews online. Even when you manage to find a place with more than a handful of reviews, the majority tend to be written by previous tenants who were slighted in some way by the management. I'm sure at least some of that is due to expectations - what I am looking for in an apartment is not necessarily what you need, so we voice our opinions in a completely subjective manner. This is true for all things, I suppose, but we're not dealing with reviewing a supermarket or restaurant - this is where we spend most of our time. This is where we live. My ultimate goal when looking for an apartment is the illusion that I am the only one living in the complex. I don't want to hear, see, smell (touch?) other people. This is where I go to recharge, to prepare to go out into the world again. The quality of construction is somewhat important to me, though not critical, so long as it works. Size, too, is negotiable, provided that the price is fair for the area. There were many newer, larger, and more modern apartment complexes in Universal City, but I chose The Meadows for several reasons: -Cheap: $625 for 550 square feet -Free Electricity: I sweat at the drop of a hat and need the A/C cranked at all times. -The population: There are a large number of elderly and families living here, which I loved, because this is a demographic that doesn't want to party, steal your belongings, or conflict with you in almost any way. -The main detractor to The Meadows, and the reason for its low rent is the age of the complex, which has been around for at least fifty years, and are equipped with appliances that - while not quite as old as the apartments - were not in their infancy, either. I never had a problem with anything breaking. With that, I lived at The Meadows for a year, and would have lived there longer had my job not taken me to other parts of the country. It was fine for me, a single guy, but bigger families or couples would probably benefit from one of their larger capacity units. The management was at all times very polite and I would recommend them again, provided you are looking for the same things I was looking for in an apartment.

Stay Away! The management is no help and the place is old and full of rats. My son has had to put…read moreout daily traps and put food in plastic bins. It's just awful. Tried asking both the local management and The Lynd company to help and no one helps. If I could go with negative stars I would.

I've lived here about 15 months. The newness of the place is what pulled me in. Customer service…read morehas always been top notch. Pros: apartments are newer and have a contemporary feel to them. Pool is pretty good, although it was closed a couple of times without signs or notices to the residents. I love that it's in a gated community and overall it has been very safe. Cons: apartment maintenance could be better. Ive made some requests for maintenance on my apartment and it took a call to the manager 2 weeks later to get action taken on it. Since then, no more problems. I wish pest control came around more. We had several wasps nests around our door and breezeway and we had to request they be removed. They also welcome animals of all sizes. I hate that. I live under someone who has a 90lb dog and it runs, jumps, and barks non-stop all hours of the night. I wish they had one or two Buildings dedicated to people with large animals. The grounds maintenance is pretty decent but residents do not clean up after their animals. There is dog poop everywhere!!!! One of my neighbors allows her dog to pee in the breezeway which I've stepped in several times. It's disgusting. The community also needs a small park for kids to play in because the community grass areas are not clean enough for kids. Overall, my experience has been just ok. I've been content living here, but my lease ends next month and I will definitely be moving.
